I've known i've been pregnant now for a week and i'm desperate to tell people and shout out but i'm not allowed to. We decided straight away that we wouldn't tell anyone apart from Caroline as we needed her advice. Now i want to be able to tell people but i can't, its so unfair! All of a sudden the weeks and days seem to be going slowly - i want 12 weeks to hurry up and get here!
I'm sat at work as i type this, my last weekend on until 13th December which is a lovely feeling. Thankfully we aren't busy but in some ways thats worse as its giving me too much time to sit and think about Lenny - thats what we've named him as when i had a look online last week they said he was about the size of a lentil so we nickname him Lenny the Lentil and it seems to have stuck!
The whole baby thing is so new and exciting and i just can't wait - I just hope that 12 week scan when it does arrive is all good. At least i have Australia in the mean time to keep me going and to keep my mind off things but no beer or shell fish isn't goignt o be easy in the land of Oz.

hopefully the time will pass soon and then we can tell the whole world!!

| Hi i'm Helen, I'm 24 with my first babba-i'm 16+ weeks, found out when i was 5 weeks, me and my other half wanted to shout it aswell, we said we wouldn't tell anyone, ended up telling the whole family (they really appreciate it as my mum feels like she's been apart of it from the beginning rather then missing out on 3months) and close friends. Altho i was hoping it would go fast till 12 weeks i now want it to slow down so i can enjoy every moment, (but it doesn't) cannot believe i'm nearly half way there aaarrrgghhh. Good luck to you and let me know how it goes when you tell the news x |

| hi there im adele im 36 and 29 wks pregnant with my second child my daughter will be almost 17 when we have this one. as we have been trying for 9 yrs for another baby i just had to tell everyone when i found out i was pregnant ive had so much support from all my family and friends good luck with everyhing x |

| Hi I am Emma, I am 25 and just found out last week that I am pregnant with my first child, 5 weeks pregnant. My other half cant keep his mouh shut he is so happy so we have told parents and family. But yeah I agree the time is going so slowly I just want to tell all my friends and the thought of telling work is petrifying me!! x |

| hi im kelly n am 14weeks n 1day today not counting!!!me n stephen have been tryn for a year now.ive been for emergancy scan at 7weeks due to pannick attacks at nite horrible!baby fine though went last mon for scan n baby very active.counted the days till ma 13week scan its well worth the wait.still find it hard to believe theres a baby growin inside me.its amazing but sometimes scarry.x |

| hi im anje and i have known that im pregnant for the last couple of weeks and am about a month or so gone but not been allowed to tell anyone coz the dad already has two children and his mother said if he has anymore he will be in big trouble. so everytime we are at his mothers house or everytime she comes to our flat i have to act as though everything is fine and that i dont feel sick and that i just dont fancy having a drink at that time...lol. even i am slightly afraid of how she is going to react. x |

Hi there, i know exactly what you mean!! I found out i was pregnant 4 weeks ago with our first baby. We believe we are about 6-8 wks but not entirely sure as dates etc just dont add up! Im not complaining thou :-)
We decided to tell just parents at first. I was getting itchy feet and my hubby asked me not to blab. We were out with friends at the weekend and he decided to blab himself, was a littl bit annoyed cos we had decided not to say anything! But im sort of glad its out to some people now. We still have the rest of the families to tell, which we are thinking of doing in bout 3 weeks or so :)
When exactly is the right time to tell people, is it after your 12 week scan or is it okay now!!! |

| I have known i am pregnant for two weeks now, i am 7 weeks and am far too scared to tell my mum, i am 22 and she would hit the roof even though me and my boyf have a home and are settled! I have told me two closest freinds but trying to keep it a secret even though i want to tell everyone. Running short of excuses why i am not drinking at the weekends...... |

| I found out I was pregnant on Weds this week. My boyfriend and I are over the moon and have told close family and a couple of friends but i'm nervous now as I dnt want to jinx anything. Am thinking I am somewhere between 5-7 weeks but not totally sure yet. Am i right in thinking I have my first scan at 12 weeks??? |

| ive known for the past week but i have decided to tell family,as this is my fourth child oh my god my fourth child i cant believe it. we are all excited by the news though and looking forward to our new addition to the family. |

| i like many of u havent told anyone and i am 10 weeks, my problem is that its my 5th baby whoops. and my 4th has just turned 1!! not only that, my sister whom i am very close has had 2 miscarriages this year and is still without child and her husband is in afghanistan with the army. So I just just want to get tothe safe stage b4 i tell people. Hows that 4 a drama!! And im really excited even though it was an accident |

| Hi, I'm 33 and 21 + 2 with my first baby. We tried for 10 years for a baby and after 4 attempts at IVF we finally have a bubs on the way woooohooooo, got our 2nd scan to morrow and will hopefully be finding out the sex. We told family and close friends after our early scan at 7 weeks as they all knew what we had been through and they were all over the moon, Good luck everyone with your pregnancies x x x x x x x |

well im around 8 weeks (to be confirmed at scan!) and i couldnt not tell people!!!!my close friends guessed anyway due to me being sick and looking very pale all the time!!!!
our baby wasnt planned but we are very happy and at 34 im very ready for one!!!! |

Hi, im 21. This is my 2nd baby. Me and my partner have known for the past few weeks and its so hard not to tell anyone yet. We unfortunatly had a miscarrage back in June and we told everyone, so it hurt alot to have to then tell everyone that i now wasnt having a baby, So this time weve decided that we can not tell anyone.
My son is 2.5 years and he over-heard the other day about the baby, so now all he keeps talking about is babys, which is making it even harder to not tell the family without having to lie, ahhhhhh, hurry up 12 weeks. |

| I found out on 18th Nov and want to share the news with people. As this is my first baby I am only 5wk+1, I also feel I should hold on to the news for at least a few more weeks. Someone told me that the midwife doesn't see you again (after registering - which I am on 26th Nov), until you're between 10-12 weeks. That feels like a lifetime away but I just want to see that all is well with the baby - even though it is only about the size of a sunflower seed! Anyone else worried on their first child and of similar dates? x x |

| my husband and i found out were expecting our first child 3 weeks ago i have my scan on wednesday were so exited but im a little scared because my mum's told loads of people and i have no idea how far on i am but on the bright side we hurd babys heart beat last week and the maternity ward when we went for blood :D |

| we decided to start trying for our second child just over a month ago and yippee i'm pregnant, (how quick was that), i'm almost 5 weeks and desperate to shout it from the roof tops but like every one else we think we should wait till after 12 weeks, it is soooo hard, can't wait till time comes when we can tell all. |

| Hi, congratulationss to you all . I found out on sat that I was expecting, this was a huge surprise as I was on the pill and my partner and I had no plans for any more children. Telling him was really hard but I managed through an avalanche of tears, oh my god what a reaction, he doesn't want any pressie's for xmas now cos apparantly I have given him the best present ever. We want to tell everyone but are holding back as I have had 2 miscarriages in the past, I am either 5 or 9 wks and we are just willing the wks to go by smoothly.....& quickly!!! x x |

Hi,
I've known for 5 whole days now! We took an early test and it was +ve, so I am only now officially just 4 weeks. I have a doctors appointment on Friday, so it probably won't seem real until then, this is our 3rd, much longed for, I've been clucky for a year now, but we waited, so as to try to time it for our youngest to be at playgroup and our eldest settled into his second year of school. Not looking forward to the inevitable morning sickness that I always get, but really really excited! |

found out yesterday i am pregnant with my first. seems ironic at the moment and it probably won't sink in until tomorrow at least when got to doctors. i did one of those new clear blue tests with conception indicator. it says 2-3 weeks but could be a little more than that. i want to tell everyone but like most of you, we have only told close friends. thinking we are due around middle of september but will probably find out tomorrow...will the doc tell me? hope so...also any ideas of those in police, do u go on light duties straight away or do you have to have evidence first? lol
already thought of a name but don't want to share it cos last time i had a nice name, someone took it!!!! thief! lol
anyone else due about the same time? will probably update this tomorrow with news!!

| Im 8 weeks and both side of the parents know and a few friends, still need to tell close friends yet, dont see why you have to wait until the 12 week scan, stop thinking the worst and share the news with the people you love, this is my 4th and always told family and some friends before the 12 weeks. xx |

| I found out about 4 weeks ago and have only told two close friends. It is my second and want to shout it from the roof tops. Waiting and waiting for first midwife appointment, feels like a lifetime, am about 11 weeks pregnant and want to tell people now! but there's always that niggling feeling if you tell people something could go wrong!! |

Hi, I'm Michelle and have just reached 33 weeks. I was in the same situation as you, however decided to tell everyone as keeping it to ourselves was to hard. Juat do what feels write to you.

I'm 7weeks pregnant with my first. we've told our closest friends but I'm finding it SOOOOO hard to keep it quiet. I've got my midwife appointment on the 20th so we've decided to tell people after that!.
I just want to shout it out. I'm so excited, but it still doesn't feel real yet! |

I am 13 weeks today (also not counting!) and we had to tell some friends in the first few weeks as we went away with them for a week over Christmas and they would have figured it out quick enough because I wasnt drinking alcohol. As we are both Australian living in the UK the way we looked at it was that we told family/friends early on who I would also let know if I happened to misscarry or of something was wrong as you need some support through that period.
As soon as we got the results of the 12 week tests and scan we told everyone and now it is feeling very real and scary! |

im the same just found out that i am 6 weeks pregnant with my seccond child. told everyone first time round but want to wait this time n its killing me dont know if i will last baby is due 2 days after my birthday and twoo weeks after my sons 2nd birthday!
