KABUL – The Afghan government was holding secret talks with ed hardy for sale the Taliban's No. 2 when he was captured in Pakistan, and the arrest infuriated President Hamid Karzai, according to one of Karzai's advisers. The detention of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar — second in the Taliban only to one-eyed Mullah Mohammed Omar — has raised new questions about whether the U.S. is willing to back peace discussions with leaders who harbored the terrorists behind the Sept. 11 attacks. Karzai "was very angry" when he heard that the Pakistanis had picked up Baradar with an assist from U.S. intelligence, the adviser said. Phillips-Van Heusen, the big clothing conglomerate that owns Calvin Klein, is near a deal to buy Tommy Hilfiger, once a leading purveyor of colorful preppy clothing, for about 2.2 billion euros ($3 billion) in cash and stock, people briefed on the ed hardy love matter told DealBook on Sunday night. Phillips-Van Heusen, which also owns Arrow and Izod and licenses brands like Geoffrey Beene and Kenneth Cole New York, is hoping to take advantage of Tommy Hilfiger’s strong European distribution channels as a platform for its own products, these people said. Gunman, 2 others wounded in Dallas shootout nancylove

DALLAS – A gunman apparently angry over ed hardy for sale business dealings wounded a father and son at their financial services company inside an office building Monday, then shot himself as police closed in, authorities said. The gunfire at about 10:30 a.m. created a frightening, grisly scene at the 15-story building, with one of the injured men making his way down an escalator with blood gushing from his neck and scared bank employees and customers locking themselves in vaults. After the two men were shot, the suspect apparently turned the gun on himself as three officers were coming down the hall toward the third-floor suite, said Dallas police spokesman Sr. Cpl. Tim Molina was on his way home from basketball shoes Walmart when he spotted a young man straddled over a Highway 101 overpass in San Jose. The man's arms were outstretched as if he were trying to fly. His face was blank. It seemed to Molina that the man was preparing to jump. Without thinking twice, Molina pulled over to help. In a conversation that lasted about an hour Tuesday afternoon, this out-of-work, church-going carpenter helped talk a stranger out of ending his life.
