If you want to copy and paste anything, it is best if you do this from Notepad which is a text based program installed on every PC. This makes sure that any hidden codes are stripped out (Word is best not used). See also shortcuts below.

Make your own signature by adding your nickname on the end of all your posts (save it in Notepad to copy and paste from). If you don’t copy anything else, you can simply Ctrl v to paste it everytime without having to re-copy.

Search for your own posts – by adding your nickname as a signature you can then use forums search (found at the bottom of the Forums homepage or all the threads and posts) to search for all your own posts by entering your nickname

Find your favourite forums or threads quickly by saving them to your favourites. You can even create a Bounty Forums folder to put them all in.

Quote – if you want to quote another post, simply copy and paste it (see shortcuts). You can then highlight and put it in italics by pressing the I icon to make it stand out.

See at a glance where you've already clicked - change your computer settings as follows:- Control panel, Accessibility Options, click the 'Display' tab, click next to 'Use High Contrast'. You can even create a shortcut on your desktop to Accessibility Options by right clicking on the icon and choosing 'create shortcut'. Note, this is not a good idea if you are using Bounty at work, you will find you cannot choose a font colour and the general page will look strange.

Diary, memorial or any list that you want to keep – create a blog instead of a thread. You can fully edit these later, add new entries and members can add comments if you set it this way. See my blog for details. 

Here are some handy shortcuts: While holding down the Ctrl key press:

X to cut
C to copy
V to paste
A to highlight all
F to search the contents of a page
F5 to clear the cache on the page you are refreshing to give you the very latest version
Z to undo – very useful if you’ve just typed something but deleted it by accident or chosen background colour instead of font colour etc.
