To email us, click on the 'Contact us' link at the bottom of any page on Bounty.com - choose the relevant option, complete the webform and your email will be dealt with as soon as possible. You can use this for feedback too. Any response will only be sent back to your email address and you may need to check your junk or bulk mail folder. Please bear in mind that the network is very busy and it can take up to an hour before your email is received and from time to time, due to spam filtering, mail can be delayed further.

Report Blog Abuse

If you have a complaint about a blog entry, please provide a link (or the BlogID number) and the nickname of the member. Blogs containing anything offensive must be kept private and may be deleted by Bounty.

Report Chat Abuse

If you have any problems with another member, don't respond or react in any way. Use the ignore facility provided and you won't see anything else they type. Right click on their nickname and click Block User. All chat conversations are logged. If you have serious abuse to report please supply the following information:

Date
Time
Nickname of person you are reporting
Nickname of person being abused
Room name

Report Forums abuse

We monitor the forums where possible but due to the volume of posts a day, we work on a notice and take down policy, otherwise referred to as 'reactive moderation'.

The quickest and best way to report abuse on a thread is to click 'Report abuse'.

Include a copy of the specific post(s)
State the date and time of post(s)
Include the nickname of the member who posted

When posts or threads are reported to us we will remove them if appropriate and aim to do so as soon as possible. We may also take further action against the person who posted them but we cannot disclose the outcome of this.

Note that the forums are prone to a lively debate and if you've received an unpleasant personal message, or one that makes you feel uncomfortable, do not rise to the bait by replying as this will often only make the situation worse. If you ignore it, the problem is likely to stop and they will get bored.

You can block any messages sent directly to you via Mybounty too. Click on their name then click 'Ban this user'.

Experienced participants in online forums know that the most effective way to discourage a troll is usually to ignore him or her, because responding encourages a true troll to continue disruptive posts; hence the often-seen warning ‘Please do not feed the trolls’. Some information about trolls is available
here

Messenger Abuse

Any problems with a member, you can block them from contacting you in the same way as chat.

Don't shoot the messenger!
Don’t forget the Rules and Safety Guidelines OK I admit it, I'm a Big Brother addict too! join the BB thread in the Film/TV Forum
