In week 18 - nearly half way there! 2009 Shloer Blog

Here's some advice ladies .... if you are planning your baby then plan your decorating too!

It is only natural that we want our homes to be perfect for the forthcoming arrival. I have been planning the alterations and improvements for weeks! However, last week, I actualyl started the task and discovered that I really do get too tired to exert too much energy!!! When hubby had offered to also book a week off work to help, I had told him not to bother, that I was capable and that I enjoy decorating anyway!!! How foolish!

He has come home every evening to an exhausted wife, with aches in muscles that she didn't even know she had. Almost useless to even have a conversation with. It's been great fun in our house for the last week!

So, if your preganncy is a happy accident, then you will obviously have no time to plan your refurbishements. But if you are actively planning your new family, then you only have yourselves to balme when you are tired ...

BMI and all that jazz! Another IVF Cycle on it's way
01/07/2009 19:45 By lottie09

Today was our first hospital appointment with the gynae clinic.  Needless to say, the one thing i have to do is lose weight and as much of it as i can within the next two months.

The consultant was lovely very helpful and sounding very supportive. The last thing he did was check my BMI, those ladies that have had IVF before should be well aware of their BMI and how important it is to be under thirty.   After losing the pregnancy, i did nothing but comfort eat so my BMI as of today is back up to thirty. That must mean i had put on a lot more weight as i have been exercising and eating fairly healthily.

So the next few weeks, swimming and aerobics.  I love Davina Mccall's keep f ...

Probably as confusing to read as it feels in my head Just the beginning of the end???
29/06/2009 10:36 By Vaunda

If you are reading this, it is my first blog and I have lots to get off my chest!

Ok so Karl is 10 yrs old now and until 3 yrs ago I  brought him up alone, I fight his corner in every given situation.
When he was 4 1/2 I succumbed to pressure from dr's and hv and let him have the MMR my little boy changed so much it hurts to think about it. Gone was the smiling laughing happy little boy and along came the tantruming shouting screaming horror.....well at home anyway.  Drs still won't listen to me that the MMR drastically changed him.

I give him all he needs and to be honest cannot physically or emotionally give him anymore. He is so angry all the time, they mention ODD, well in laymans terms this means a naughty boy..and yes he is BUT not all the time, his anger is directed at one person just me.

Me, the person who stood up for him time and again and always will, fed and clothed him going without myself, yet ...

29/06/2009 00:02 By pinksweet1fairy

On the 5th of june 2009 our world was turned upside.

my daughter who is only three has been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma,Rhabdomyosarcoma basically cancer within her abdomen within her stomach muscles.

This is how it all started, we had repeatedly been to our gp with her complaining of stomach pains, constipation, we went three times to our gp when he just gave her some laxatives and sent us away! she was consistently under the weather, loosing weight she wasnt big to start with.

Then one night she was crying and crying her stomach had swollen so decided to take her to a&e and thats ...

triple trouble week 20 ''2009 Shloer blogg''
28/06/2009 20:23 By cpick73

week 20, 14 to go and counting. I've another scan coming up next week and I can't wait. I feel very fortunate to be able to see the babies so often this will  be scan number 5 and I have to go every 2 weeks from then on. I'm not sure how I feel about the inside of my belly button, some things are not for public display I can see it quite clearly now cos its starting to pop out and I'm not sure how I feel about these new boobs that insist on expanding daily, especially now they are beginning to resemble cantalope melons and are resting on my belly.

We have decided not only on first names but also on middle names as it 's a bit wierd referring to them as baby 1, 2 and 3 and since the last scan they are looking more and more like proper human types. Blaine promptly announced their names on facebook as he has done with everything else relating to the kids so there will be no suprises for anyone, not unless the girls come along and turn out to be boys. Blaine is becoming more ...
