I happen to know someone who is working at Claridges as he trains to be a chef (Dh's best mates little brother). I can tell you right now that isnt how much it costs- not even for business. You even said yourself they went into the resturaunt that was there, so why would the prices change? AND if it was for business why would your DH have the receipt?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear OP. You're digging yourself in even deeper with your latest gem. Your "special price" that your husband gets for being a business client, group of over 50 etc. is much higher than those given to us mere mortals who look online is it? I thought it should be lower, or what's the point? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

As I said before, better luck next time.

OMG Seriously.....Does that woman not get the point of a light thread??

Is there any room in the suitcase of the lady Pizza-hutting it with the Pope? I'd love to sneak along, I'll bring the 50% discount voucher I've got if you reckon he'll show me what he wears under those robes lol

I cannot believe l am even getting into this conversation. But for your info sambajazz perhaps before you start being spiteful and showing everyone on bounty how clever you think you are by putting a link of the prices and think you are making me look a fool, l suggest that you get your facts right. The price l quoted is for a business including clients of 50 or more. These are set by the hotel and complety diffferent from non-business prices that are on the website, but you wouldn't think about that, would you. You are just interested in trying to make me look like l am lying. What would l get out of that, it was not even me that went. You really are a nasty person and just so glad that l don't think the way you do. Very vindictive (sp) and for what!!!!

But maybe the so called upper class people aren't all like that?

I know UK has this "class system" thing going on and I find it really annoying over here but tbh I get on with rich people and I get on with poor people and stigmatising either party doesn't help in general - in my opinion anyway

I depends what people are doing as to whether I get jealous - now if it was a trip to Alton towers with an over night stay at the premier inn that has the brewers fayre attached to it then I would be jealous!!!  See I told you I like the simple things in life!!!

I must be weird tbh- my brother has been to Claridges and had all expenses paid and a trip in the London Eye with champagne etc, and I dont feel in the least bit jealous, im just glad someone I know has the chance to go to nice places.

My daughter attended the Thomas the Tank Engine great adventure premiere the other week where several celebrities were with their kids. I dont feel anything but pleasure at other people having nice experiences.
