thank you, so there should be some entitlement then coz we are in temp housing and our rent is high and hubby's wages is not enough to cover rent, etc.

Depends on household income and the amount of rent you pay.

Does anyone know if there is any truth in when a couple is married and living together and only one of them is working, they won't be entitled to any housing benefit?
We privately rent. My husband works full time, hb top up our rent payments . As op said it depends on how much he earns and how much tax credits you get. hth.xxx
