Hi, I worked nightshift in the George department in asda, I started of doing 10-8 then 10-7 then 10-6 lol, it was good and I enjoyed it. You'll probably get an interview in the next week or so with a nightshift manager, think my interview was at 10pm. Have you picked what departments you want to work in?

Thanks for the encouragement had my group interview today wasn't too bad I did chat with most of the others and luckly nobody was too loud or overbearing so I didn't look to quiet.
The nights are 10pm to 6am which was ideal for me as dh works 8:30 to 4:30 but he's now decided to go back on shifts so don't know how it's gonna work if I do get the job.

What hours are the night shifts at Asda. Have been looking for night work for a while now and cant seem to find anything. I work weekends at the moment but its horrible, partner works weekdays and doesnt get home till 6 by which time I am feeding and then bathing kids so would love to be able to spend time with family on weekends.
Thanks

I'm naturally shy so don't know how i'm going to cope on the phone she said it's going to be a group of 20 this seems an awful lot to me.

Usually it's quite relaxed, they get you into teams and advertise something like soap powder, they like to see your confident side! Which Asda is it?

Everyone will be as nervous as eachother. Hope you get the job.

Thanks hun. I'm dreading it as I am really shy think I'm going to have to do some acting as I really need this job at least now I know what to expect it's not going to be a huge shock on the day.

My Asda group interview was nothing like i expected lol. Its more of a team building session than an interview. We has to get into pairs and tell each other 3 facts about ourselves. One had to be a lie and everyone had to guess which that was. Then a stupid card game I cant really remember.
Then they split us into groups and we had to make a house of cards but after a few minuted they stopped us and gave us a box of somethin that we had to add to our building. After the time was up, we had to explain what our building was an answer questions on it in front of the rest of the group.
During the whole time, you are being watched by the interviewers. They want to see how well you work in a group and how chatty/outgoing you are. My friend didnt get through his interview as he was too shy. I made sure I spoke to everyone and swallowed my nerves and got the job. I have been there 6 months now.
The group interview is fun, if a little unusual. Enjoy and good luck
