Not really started yet I wanted to get Isla's & Scott's birthday done first so am now starting, I am hoping to get a new xmas tree this week as mine is 12yrs old & the pines keep falling of, my older 2 children want money to buy clothes so thats them sorted, I have got my mum & dads so that leaves me with hubbys parents & sister, my neice & nephew, my youngest Isla, my mindees x 3 plus one has a birthday soon too.

That's really bad Ebs (are you Hayley?) - some people just don't realise that we put ourselves out for them and we have families and lives of our own!!
Glad your DS tidied his room, bless him! How old is he? I have trouble getting my ds to tidy his (he's
, but DD loves to tidy up (she's 4)!In 2 weeks i will have 2 more after school ones starting bringing me to 4 in total. But fingers crossed i'll have my neighbours dd to look after 3 days a week from Feb. She'll be 8 months by then and i'll also have her 2 brothers (one pre-school, one big school). Nothing definate yet though......
Have put our Xmas trees up but need to get a few more decs and lights for round the house. We've got 7 extra adults and 2 extra children coming to us for Xmas this year and they're all sleeping here - HELP!! They're all family so they will hopefully just make themselves at home so i don't have to run round after them all LOL!
Still got a fair bit of present buying to do so i'm glad i still have my mornings free from childminding! How are you all getting on with Xmas preparations?

your not alone ive had loads let me down like that , so rude
29/11/08 16:42
I know, best of it is, today is my only day off work for a while (xmas and all that) and i was going to go see my family (50miles away) as we havn't seen them fror weeks now but obviously i cancelled..... they dont mind but its beside the point, i miss them and was looking forward to seeing them

At least some good came out of it,.......DS tidied his room up at last lol
Hope you are all well girls?xxxx
29/11/08 15:13
thats awful ebs its so rude, they think we have nothing better to do than sit waiting.
29/11/08 15:09
Well im fuming...... yet again ia potential parent and mindee has not turned up and hasn't the manners to let me know..... some people are so rude!!!!!!

Is it just me?????
28/11/08 18:57
Shirley - i charge full fees for any time off the mindees have (holiday/sick whatever), but i don't charge them anything if i am off for any reason so feel this is fair. They always have the opportunity to take holiday during the summer the same 2 weeks as me. Most of mine are term time only though so never really an issue xxx

Some people do have the cheek.
I sent one of my mindes home with invoice for next month, I had decided full fees, for the 3 days holiday they have just had as they had only given me 7 days notice where in the contract it says 4 weeks, she mentioned it said I would at it. well I redid invocie amended it but stated that I would only charge them 1/2 of fee just this once but in future to give me plenty of notice. I am still waiting to find out what holiday they are taking over christmas I wanted to know before I sent them the invoice so that the invoice was up to date.
I had one family that would alwasy give me short notice of any holiday sometimes it would be a days notice well I have decided I am not going to nice.

now theyre really taking the p*** , someone want to know iff ill swap it for a rover 75. as lovely as theyre are what the hell am i going to do with a 75 fgs!
26/11/08 12:52
just having a bit of a growel at the people in this world that think they have the right to buy anything for next to nothing , ive put my chrysler on ebay with what i think is a reaonable asking price , so why is it that ive been inundated with messages asking iff ill give it away for half the price ! it really p***es me off that they feel they need to barter over something theyve not even seen saying that its only worth so much because of this and that . well iff they dont like my price then they can p*** off and stop wasting my time. and iff i am asking too much then its my loss but ultimately its my choice and not up to them to tell me how much they think its worth , either they want it or they dont fgs!
sorry rant over !

yes you can do level 3 without level 2 ebs , so good luck with that , shirl fingers x for you with ofsted but i asked for a variation along those lines due to an overlap with numbers , i think for 1 hr a day id have 4 rather than 3 under 5 and they didnt allow it . so i managed to get my hubby as an assistant so that he is allowed extra children for me , it also means i can leave them with him aswel , maybe be that would be a better solution , you can have anyone as your assistant .
23/11/08 19:30
That sounds promising Shirl
good luck with that one.Well i have abit of voice back (more than i whisper now, more of a husky bark). Yesterday i attended that EYFS meeting thing thats compulsery, it was quite helpful to be honest. Breaking it down abit made it easier to digest lol.
How is everyone? How's everyone's throats?
I start my NVQ level 2 on wednesday, but some one at the EYFS (another cm) said you can skip level 2 and go straight to level 3.... does that sound right to anyone else?

ebs your not alone with no voice as I have no voice since thursday yesterday was the worse day as hubby called me to ask if I could phone Autoclass as a golf ball had hit our windscreen as he was driving past the golf course, thankfully DAve is fine but have to wait till Tue to get a new windscreen as it is a very big windscreen luckily it was on passanger side.
Had a phone call Fri from a lady wanting care for her 17month & 3 nearly 4yr old full time from sometime in Jan , I took her details so that I can ask my childminder friends I am also going to phone Ofsted to see if I could get a vairiation as it would only be for 9 months till my dd starts school plus she will go full time in Sept too. If I took these 2 children plus have the nearly 1yr old 3 1/2 days & the 10 month 1 day I will be smiling

Me to is unwel have had a cold/flu comeing on since last week but only yesterday I lost my voice , it is a good thing that today I don't start working till 12pm & finish for the day at 2.45pm as the baby I mind is away till Wednesday next week.
I took my car to REnault yesterday as on Wed my car wouldn't start we thought it was to do with the battery so yesterday renault aslo checked battery & did a service well battery is ok but they have found a few problems which will cost over £500 to sort them.
