    Hi everyone,

Not been here for ages, but still not got much to tell. Kylan seems to have settled in at her new school really well. She went away for the weekend to Caythorpe Court. It's another one of those adventure centres. You should have seen some of her clothes when she came back. Apparently during the raft building exercise, their raft collapsed, so they ended up in dirty, muddy lake water. hmmm. Good thing i had just brought that new washing machine. She enjoyed it, but they didn't get back until 8pm Sunday night, so it was hard work getting her up on Monday for school. Caden really missed her too!

Rhonda you poor thing. I hope your consultation goes well, and you don't have to undergo too much treatment. Hope your planning works out too.

We are thinking of looking for a new car Rosy. Like the idea of having a warranty.

Well done to Sam - sitting up. You start to realise that they are not babies for five minutes when they start doing things like that.

Daz is still studying for sergeants ( and still moaning about it. lol)

We are planning to go to Goose fair next week, and we have some relatives from Australia coming to stay, so 2 things to look forward to at the moment.

I hope everyone is ok, and 'Hello' to all that i've not mentioned.

What are these new laws? do you think it will go in your favour? I hope so for your sake,I know its been a long drawn out process with the planning office.

    Hi all,

Feeling better mentally, as been to GP and he has explained a lot.  Not dying, but going to be referral to a surgeon so they can decide whether to remove my gall bladder or not.

Still going through the saga of planning.  New law come into force on the 1st October so fingers cross that it will apply to us.

I hope everyone is well and happy.  Speak soon.

    Hello!

I thought id come on here before it disappeared!

Hope everyones ok. Mark is on 4pm-midnight. He had to take last night off as yesterday morning on the way to taking dan to school my car was making a funny scraping noise on the brakes so mark took the wheel off and said some of the brakepad had come off,we had to get his bro to come round after work to put new ones on so by the time it was done it was pointless mark going in so his sg booked him off so it was nice to have him at home an extra day!

Right im off to watch dont tell the bride,I love that programme! lol

    Hi

hope you're feeling better Rhonda, have you got to go into hospital for gall stones? Glad Jacob went to school alright today - fingers crossed it carries on. Tilly went back to playgroup this morning & was a bit clingy when I left but was fine by the time we collected her. She had a friend over for a sleepover last night & at 2.30 this morning I heard a bang, when I went in her friend had fallen out of the bed. She did it again at 4am so I didn't get much sleep listening out for her. It's double bed so I thought she'd of been ok.

How old is Oliver now Rosy? Sounds like he's getting ready for a potty. Tilly was quite late getting dry but then did it all at once both day & night & we've not had a wet bed in over a year - I've jinxed that now!

Sam has started to sit up on his own & looks so grown up. He sits there all proud. Took him swimmimg today & he loved it. We go to Centre Parcs on monday so plenty of time in the pool then.

Hope everyone else is ok XX

I thought id pop on here before I make dinner! Hope everyones ok,iam not liking this weather!

Glad to hear jacob enjoyed going to school, has it lasted?! I bet bella misses him!

I think im going to get Oliver a potty as he keeps coming to me and telling me hes done a wee wee in his nappy! he also sits on the toilet so at least he is showing signs of starting,I dont want to force him so I will get him one and let him decide when he wants to use it,cant believe how fast hes growing up! I think we are going to have to buy Ollie a ds for christmas as he uses Dans all the time and poor Dan can never get it! He actually plays on shrek 3rd and nintendogs!

I think im getting a cold,my nose is all tingley and last night I had the worst sleep.I hate colds!

Kerry,Happy Birthday! How is Kylan finding her new school? I bet she will settle right in before you know it!

Right im off to make dinner then got to pick my sis up and go food shopping.

    Bye xx

    Hi everyone

Haven't been on for ages.  Not been too well but hopefully now all ok.  They think I might have gall stones, as one of my friends pointed out 'I thought old people got them', that why you have friends.

Jacob went to school for the first time today without a fuss, walked in and never looked back, unheard of.  I hope it is the future, but I know he will be back to his old self tomorrow.

Not much happening my end.  We are going to speak to the planning people once more to see if they will let us do any building and that will make our mind up whether to stay or not.

I'll try to catch up on the threads later, but I hope everyone is well.  Was hoping for some nice weather but I doubt there is any about.

    Speak some.

Thanks for all your thoughts. Only just got the toilet fixed yesterday, so we still have the dehumidifier whirring away. Now the oven seems to be playing up. Think we need a new house to be honest.

I hope Ben settles in at school Linda. Kylan started secondary on Thursday (have put pics on facebook). We had a few tears that night at bedtime because the whole thing had overwhelmed her. She wasn't prepared for how different it was. She had it cushy at Primary because she got on well with everyone and was trusted with all the jobs (laptop monitor, answering phones at lunchtime etc). Now she has to find her feet again. Friday was better though, and i think she'll be ok now with a little time. Hopefully Ben will too.

Well done to Daniel. I bet he's so proud of himself. It's a shame when kids act like poor losers. Especially when it's their friends who have won.

I'm off for a bath because Daz is watching American Football. I can watch most sports, just not that - can't follow it at all. Think i'll make it a long bath. Hope everyone else is good.

Oh, i also have trouble uploading photos sometimes, but not others. Probably not you at fault. Try again!

    Hi everyone,

Marks on til midnight then back in tomorrow 10am-6pm and has sunday & monday off. I have been watching ugly betty so im happy!

Dan has had a good first week back.He had done really hard work and good manners so he won the class trophy,a certificate, badge he wears all week and a toy.He was so pleased coming out of school to show me! his best friend came out with a face on him and his mum spoke to him and said its because daniel has the trophy and he hasnt,he started crying and behaving really badly.I know kids can get jealous but the day before the boy got chosen to be the class councillor and dan voted for him as daniel said he didnt want to become one and his mum was saying how proud she was this morning.Dan wouldnt have behaved that way if his friend had got the trophy before him.

Hope everyones enjoying this lovely weather lol,I cant believe how miserable it is recently. I really cant wait til marks pay day this month,it should be a good one as he did loads of overtime last month and we could do with some extra money, weve just paid for marks car tax,mot and the insurance is due next week which we pay off for the year,at least its all done with at the same time.

Right id best go,im tired so am going to bed before mark gets in and wakes me up!

    Have a lovely weekend! xx

    Evening Ladies,

I hope you are all well. I am totally shattered after my 1st week at work after the school hols. I am treating myself to a couple of glasses of wine tonight.

Ian has been accepted onto the CID course. He has got another exam in march for it though before he can go into the team. They get 50 work hours to study. He also has his part 2 sargents exams in oct. He has done well to get on the course as there were only 2 places. But it probably mean staying late once he starts.

I hope all the children who went to school had a good 1st week. I had tears from Ben my 11 year old on thurs morning, he didn't want to go to school, He is not academic so I think he was worried he would find the wk to hard at secondary school. I rang the support dept and spole to them. They were really nice and said they would keep an eye on him. school is not his favourite place and I don't think it every will be. lol

Evening Ladies, I hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the kids going back to school.

Apparently it is only about 16 weeks to christmas!!

Sorry to hear that eveything seems to be going wrong at the moment. Ian has got his part 2 sargants in oct so he is trying to study but he needs to be a buddy group. The force have also put a free course on for the 1st 12 that emailed and Ian was lucky and got on it. Although he did pay for a short course.

    Work has gone alright.

Ben started secondary school today , he looked really smart in his uniform I will put some pics on facebook later or  tomorrow.

Ian should have been off today and tomorro, but he put in for some overtime working tonight 11 till 7 it is a double bubble.

    Hi

hope things are going better for you now Kerry? It's a real pain when everything seems to go wrong at the same time. Hope you're feeling better too Rhonda?

I tried to put some photos on facebook last night but when I created a new album it wouldn't let me add photos so I gave up before I threw the computer through the window! Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Tilly's just been to a Princess & Pirates party & has come back with her face painted, looks v cute but dreading trying to get it off later! I popped into work today to sort my annual leave & return to work out & found they had moved my desk & all my bits around. Not bothering to get stressed now will wait till I go back in Dec. I took Tilly & Sam in with me & my unit made a big fuss of them both esp. Tilly who was wearing her princess dress.

Hope the return to school/work hasn't been too bad.

    Hello!

Hope your all ok,its nice to have everyone back on here after so long on facebook! lol

Marks on 4pm-midnight all week so at least I get full control of the tv and the computer,im actually watching friends whilst typing this, great isnt it!

Louise,in lancs constabulary they get priority payments after 4 or 5 years in service,Mark got a payment last year but not all police get it,different departments dont,I dont know why really as they are all police officers! It starts december-december and usually its around £1000,I dont know if different forces pay less or more but thats what lancs police get which helps just before christmas.Mark prob wont get the whole amount as hes now on the auto crime team and they dont always get it every year, fingers crossed they will this time!

Rhonda, sorry to hear about your appeal. Have you seen whats starting on friday night?! Ugly betty, that should cheer you up abit! I cant wait to watch it again,I was abit confused as to why it suddenly stopped halfway through the series! Ooh desperate housewives is back on wednesday too!

Linda, how was your first day at work? Daniel went back to school today,I was really upset that he was going back but he enjoyed it!

My sister is back in hospital. After having kidney troubles when she was pregnant and they couldnt work out why and then everything went ok after having Imogen she collapsed on saturday morning at 6am and was took in an ambulance anyway they found she has kidney stones and sent her home to come back today but she was in that much pain she got took back in yesterday morning and they xrayed her today and found one in her bladder and two in her kidneys.Shes on morphin and another painkiller and is waiting to be treated,it looks like this has been the problem all along.

Right id best go,my little sis is ringing me in a minute. Night xx

    Hi all!

I am so p****d off at the moment. Everything is going wrong. Toilet cracked, leaked everywhere, now we have no carpet in there, wallpaper peeled off, and we have to run a dehumidifier for a week (those things kick out so much heat). Then the washing machine started making things dirtier than when they went in. I have scrubbed and scrubbed it - but still brown marks on everything. Finally the fridge smells because the seals have gone.

Oh...and Daz is fed up of work. Studying hard for sargeants this time.

On a positive note, Kylan is looking forward to her new school on Thursday.

I hope you are feeling better Rhonda. I've found myself feeling a bit miserable too.

Center parcs is supposed to be great Lu. Hope you have a good time.

Caden's been going through his testing phase. Pushing his luck most of the time, even hitting and kicking sometimes. He has been lovely today though, so i hope it lasts. It feels so exhausting some days when they are like that!

Hope everyone is well, and all prepared for the kids going back.

    We've all gone quiet again!

Well my happy campers have returned & managed to stay dry which is always a bonus. Tilly had a great time & can't wait to go again, think I'll stay over with Sam next time if the weather looks good. We've booked to go to Centre Parcs at Nottingham in a couple of weeks so looking forward to that. Some friends are there at the same time with a girl Tilly's age so hopefully that's them entertained!

Just been to Sainburys & spent a fortune on nappies, wipes, baby food etc as they've got a third off all baby stuff so I've stocked up. It's all so expensive, it was only pay day on thurs & already I'm broke, will have to think about going back to work soon.

Hope everyone's well & ready for the kids going back to school. They don't go back until next week here so Tilly's not back at playgroup till then. This time next year I'll be getting ready for her starting school - my little baby.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry haven't been on for ages, been feeling down in the dumps, but getting out slowly.  We got our planning appeal rejected, so doesn't leave much options for us now other than try to sell the house, but our neighours have been on the market for ages, they are now going rent their's out.

My hubby gets priorty payments, but won't get as much as he normally gets as he left and came back, but every bit helps especially near christmas.

Have started to look around for bargins for christmas, but it is the storing of them, especially now that will have to move.  Might have to speak to my parents about using some of their house for storage.

Can't believe the school holidays are up now.  Trying to fit everything in this last week.  Jacob goes back on Tuesday and I really think he needs to go back, because he is getting naughty and not listening to a word I say.

Does anyone watch Big Brother, not been so good this year?  Not sure who I want to win if anyone.

Right going to let the children run around the garden for a while.

    Morning,

this site is like waiting for a bus - once one of us goes on others follow! I'm still working out facebook but having fun looking up old friends/boyfriends!

Well done Oliver with your rolling over. Are you weaning him now Lou, I've forgotton if you said you'd started. Sam eats everything & anything at the mo so I'm making the most of getting veg down him before he starts refusing it. Been buying lots of  bits on ebay for him as we got rid  of most of Tilly's toys coz we thought that 3 years after dh's vasectomy we wouldn't be having any more!!

Tilly & dh are off camping on thurs for 3 nights & Sam & I are going to join them in the day as it's not too far away. Decided not to stay as Sam still wakes for a bottle about 3 in the morning. Got my 7 year old niece staying for 2 nights so she's entertaining Tilly for me, her Mum's in early stages of pregnancy so hopefully resting at home.

Different jobs get priority payments it varys from force to force. In Derbyshire custody, firearms, child abuse unit, front line officers with more than 5 years service & several others get it. Unfortunately neither me or dh quailfy

Good morning. I know what you mean about facebook Lou. Special priority payments is for those who have or workied in custody in the last year. Ian will get 11 months of it hopefully . He starts on the crime team today so no more finishing on time/early.

It is Roberts last year too in secondary school. They don't sit any of thier GCSE early at the school he goes to. I'm dreading the next year as he puts so much pressure on himself.

I have just got to get Roberts school shoes which is proving to be a nightmare as he does not like any of them. You would think he was going on a fashion shoot the way he is carrying on about it. I thought it was only girls that were like that.

I'm sure you will be fine once you go back to wk Lou!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying the last week of the schools holiday.
