Morning,
this site is like waiting for a bus - once one of us goes on others follow! I'm still working out facebook but having fun looking up old friends/boyfriends!
Well done Oliver with your rolling over. Are you weaning him now Lou, I've forgotton if you said you'd started. Sam eats everything & anything at the mo so I'm making the most of getting veg down him before he starts refusing it. Been buying lots of bits on ebay for him as we got rid of most of Tilly's toys coz we thought that 3 years after dh's vasectomy we wouldn't be having any more!!
Tilly & dh are off camping on thurs for 3 nights & Sam & I are going to join them in the day as it's not too far away. Decided not to stay as Sam still wakes for a bottle about 3 in the morning. Got my 7 year old niece staying for 2 nights so she's entertaining Tilly for me, her Mum's in early stages of pregnancy so hopefully resting at home.
Different jobs get priority payments it varys from force to force. In Derbyshire custody, firearms, child abuse unit, front line officers with more than 5 years service & several others get it. Unfortunately neither me or dh quailfy

Good morning. I know what you mean about facebook Lou. Special priority payments is for those who have or workied in custody in the last year. Ian will get 11 months of it hopefully . He starts on the crime team today so no more finishing on time/early.
It is Roberts last year too in secondary school. They don't sit any of thier GCSE early at the school he goes to. I'm dreading the next year as he puts so much pressure on himself.
I have just got to get Roberts school shoes which is proving to be a nightmare as he does not like any of them. You would think he was going on a fashion shoot the way he is carrying on about it. I thought it was only girls that were like that.
I'm sure you will be fine once you go back to wk Lou!!
Hope everyone else is enjoying the last week of the schools holiday.

Hello all!
Not been on here for ages - the evils of Facebook!
We had a lovely hol although it seems like ages now! Hope you are all okay and surviving the school hols - only 1 week left!
I go back to work on 1st Oct and I'm dreading it - I'm sure it won't be that bad once i'm there?!
How was camping Rhonda? We have really missed it this year but will def be getting back in the tent next year when Oliver is older!
How was you r honeymoon Simone? Read that your trying for another baby- it night not take as long this time now that your body has been kick started!!
Well Ihave boked my NYE night! We are going to stay at a hotel who are running afamily evening, b&b etc. Me and my friuend are bery excited already thinking about our outifts!!!
I went out on Fri with my best friend who I have known since pri school - amelias godmother etc Anyway we went to a reunion night for a club we used to go to - one word for you 'old' thats what we felt once we were in there so we all decided to go to our local bar and get totally pi**ed!!! I felt okay the next day but my friend was ill!! So now we are are going to act our age from now on!!!
Danny was first on the scene yesterday to a body think its been on the news today it was near the hotel in Manchester city centre where Chelsea fottball team and REM were stayiing ( but nothing to do woth them !!) Not sure if he was pushed or thought he could fly after too much drink! He was only 25 aswell and whiolst Danny was writing his report his frineds came in the station and reported him missing :-(
Going to finish of the uniforms tomorrow - my last year buying for Daniel. He got his resutls for his maths GCSE which he sat a year early - he got a c, and was only a couple of marks from getting a b. We are really proud of him but he is going to do it again to get a higher mark next year. Oh and Oliver rolled over for the first time!!!
One question before I go - 'what is priority payment?'
Take care all xxxx
25/8/08 20:59
Its so quiet on here at the moment where is everyone !!!!
18/8/08 20:38
Hi Ladies,
The weather is also bad near me. I'm fed up of the rain.
Ian should get some priority payments. He should get it from oct to sept, which will come in useful due to it been christmas.
Does anyone start christmas shopping early??. I always say that I am going too, but never do.
Glad you had a good holiday Lou.
18/8/08 16:14
What horrible weather we're having today. Dh wanted to go camping for a few days on his rest days but glad we didn't. Took Tilly to an indoor play area with friends today instead to burn off some energy whilst Sam & daddy bonded watching the Olympics!
Could do with dh earning some overtime Rosie, as I'm on maternity pay now & it's rubbish. Neither of us get the priority payments although we do get housing allowence & competency threshold payments each month.
Still finding my way round facebook so I apologise for not writing or putting any photos on yet. As you can tell I'm not very computer literate.
Not much else to report just wish the weather would improve so we can the tent out & enjoy the summer! Hope you're all well. Did anything come of us trying to get together sometime?
18/8/08 10:25
Hello!
Nearly couldnt find us then! How is everyone? Its very quiet on here at the moment, thats facebook for you!
It was marks weekend off but we ended up staying in,we went food shopping on saturday then nothing at all yesterday,he just sat watching tv whilst I cooked a roast, lazy thing! He's gone in early today,he was meant to be on a 4-midnight but is doing a 8-4pm instead because on friday he went in at 8am and had a big job on and didnt finish work until 1:30am! He worked 9 and a half hours over time but has to finish a file today so he wanted to go in this morning to get it done.Since he started on his new team hes done so much overtime,im looking forward to seeing his wage next month!
Well Daniel spent 3 days going through the argos catalogue and writing out his christmas list! Hes put loads on although I dont think he actually wants half the toys he just wrote loads down anyway! Im going to start christmas shopping when he goes back to school.
Does anyone elses hubbys get priority payment at christmas? Mark got a small payment last december as thats the month he joined but this year he should off got december 07-december 08 but now hes on the autocrime team he wont get the full amount, just dec-july which is annoying.
Right id best go,take care xx

Good morning,
Hope you are all well.
I went to my friends yesterday for and there were four of us there with our children 6 children altogether which was nice and they all played well together. The weather was lovely considering it was suppose to be raining. It is raining today.
Thanks Rosy you have made me smile saying that I don't look as ols as I do!! I will have to ask Ian if the crime team in humberside wk christmas day. It will be nice if he is off. He has put an expression of interest in to do the cid course now. If he gets on it I hope that it is after his part 2 sargeants otherwise it will be too much for him.
I'm out in the town tomorrow night with my friends. We have been invited to a posh frocks party next saturday so looking forward to that too!!
Hope you all have a nice day

Hi everyone!
Ive had a good couple of days, yesterday dans school friend and his mum came round and although it was raining on and off we decided to chance going to the park and it went lovely and sunny! Today I thought id go and see my parents who I hadnt seen in two weeks (oops!) anyway my sis came round with her son and daughter so we walked to the park and on the way met a couple of women who were disabled, they stopped us and were chatting away! One asked me Olivers name so I told her and she said, does he know Jill Atherton? I said no and she said, well could you ask him please! I was trying not to laugh and had to ask Oliver who stared at me thinking I was mad! When they walked off me and my sis were nearly crying with laughter!
Linda, glad you and ian had your talk and worked out what your both doing.I know ive already said this but you and rhonda look SO much younger! I really would have said you were both in your early thirties! Im the youngest mum at Daniels school, theres another mum who's daughter is in Daniels class and shes probably a year older than me or could even be the same age.It doesnt matter how old you are aslong as your a good mum age doesnt count! Me and mark were talking last night about having another baby, not yet but will probably time it for when Oliver starts school like Daniel was when Oliver was born.I think we will probably end up with four children! Marks one of four although his parents had three close together then the last afew years after!
Rhonda, poor jacob.I bet it scares him having night tremors.Has he just gone to the coast for the day or for longer? I bet he had a fab time!
Simone, glad you had a lovely honeymoon! Good luck with trying for baby no 2! I hope it happens quicker for you both this time!
Im just waiting for mark to finish work at 6pm.We found out that the autocrime team dont work at christmas which is great,I cant wait to have him at home on christmas day! Im going to start getting presents when Dan goes back to school, that way I wont see a massive amount of money coming out of my account in december! lol
Right id best go,Ive got tea on and if I dont go now it will burn! xx
12/8/08 16:14
Afternoon all,
I feel at a loose end as Jacob has gone to the coast with my parents and my niece and nephew (no room for Bella and I
). Should be putting the free(ish) time to use but like usual I'm not.Simone, good luck and fingers crossed that in no time you will be 9 months and wishing baby was out.
Linda, my hubby is 10 years younger, and I'm one of the youngest mums, I probabaly won't be when Bella goes. I don't feel old and I think that is the main thing. One of my friends is 40 and she is thinking in the next couple of years having another. Hubby has a younger step sister who is 9 and she loves having 4 big brothers.
Right best put my time to some use. And go on facebook.

12/8/08 07:09
Good morning ladies,
Glad you had a fab time on your honeymoon and good luck with baby making.
Rhonda is your hubby younger than you?. Ian is 5 years younger than me. I agree with you that its not fair to have an older mum. My eldest son says that i'm the youngest mum out of his friends mums but then I will be the oldes mum out of Alex's friends when he goes to school. We had a good talk about it and we have decided that we will not have anymore. I still feel a bit selfish as Ian will only have one child and Alex will be like an only child in a few years as Rob is nearly 16 and Ben is 11 although they are really good big brothers I'm sure Alex will love going to stay with them when they leave home (if they do lol).
Well Alex had a sleep in this morning until 6am cos yesterday he was up at 4:50am.
Hope you all have a nice day

12/8/08 00:49
Hi everyone,
I'm still up, Jacob is having really bad night tremors at the moment, so keeping me up. He normally only has them if he has a busy day. He had really bad ones when we were camping, so I think everyone heard him crying out and shouting. We were very squashed as the children decided to sleep with us. Just catching up on my rest now.
Linda, It is a difficult question to answer. My hubby would like more but I'm 40 next year and i don't think it is fair on them when they are older and they have an old mum, just my opinion. I will try to stay as young as I can for as long as I can. I'm sure you will make the rigth choice.
Best be going because the shouting has started again. I hope everyone else is ok.
11/8/08 20:12
Evening Ladies.
sounds like you had a fab time at camelot. You made me smile saying I don't look nearly 39. I had a chat today about it and we talked about the logistics of another child and have both agreed that we are lucky we have Alex and Ian did say he didn't want to leave me. So at least I feel better about it now.
Well we have been to the park today and it was really busy as this is the first day it has not rained in about 2 weeks.
Hope everyone else is enjoying the summer holidays and coping with bored children lol
11/8/08 19:54
Hi,
Im so tired, weve been to camelot theme park today. The kids loved it and so did me and mark! It started to rain in the afternoon so we watched a horse show with knights and jesters, its undercover so we didnt get wet! Anyway we had been on every ride by about 4ish so we decided to come home, its only down the road from us anyway which is handy.
Kerry,I cant believe how much money kylans uniform is! What if someone cant afford to pay that much?! They are crafty being the only place you can get it from!
Linda, you've been honest with Ian.Its a hard one I suppose because you want different things but your right, you need to sit down and discuss it. You dont look 39 by the way! I would have said you were about 33! If you look at it like this your both so lucky to have a son together who's special to you both and you have two other sons anyway, some people dont even have the chance to have one child! It sounds like you know what you want,im sure after talking you will feel better and im sure he wouldnt want to leave you and his son just because your not having another baby. Big hugs anyway.
Hope everyones ok,rhonda im glad your camping went well,it looked like fun!
Right im off to watch eastenders! bye for now x

Good morning Ladies.
I'm in a real dilemma. Ian would like to have a nother baby and I really don't want one. I have got 2 older boys from a previous relationship and Alex to Ian. Plus I am nearly 39. Anyway Ian got home from wk early last night and I mentioned to him about me getting sterilsed and he said to wait a bit longer, As we were talking about it, he said he always thought he would have had 2 or 3 kids. I said to him that if I did have another baby now it would be for all the wrong reasons and it would be just for Ian. We only have a 3 bed house which we only just manage in at the moment. I feel that I am been selfish but things are getting easier now that Alex is getting older. Lots of Ians friends are now starting to have 2nd babies as Ian is 5 years younger than me. I don't want him to regret it in a few years and leave me. I did say that if he is that desperate for another baby or 2 he would have to leave and find someone else to have babies with. He didn't really answer to that. I can't really talk to him about it today as he has to go to work so it would not be fair. I can't wait for him to finish this shift on sun. So we can have a proper talk about it. It will be on monday now as ian is on lates and I am usually in bed when he gets in. It s all I can think about at the moment.
Sorry for going on but I had to get it off my chest
8/8/08 18:47
hi everyone,
hope you are all well. I need to get my 2 school uniforms yet but they are in greece with their dad until 19th Aug.
I ended up at the local A&E yesterday tea time for 3 hours. Alex drank about 1/2 a bottle of calpol anyway to cut a long story short. He is ok and thye told me that it is virtually impossible to overdose on calpol even a full bottle. I thought he might have slept in this morning but no he was still up at 6 even though he did not go to bed till 10pm.
I have been for lunch with my friend. We did have a bottle of wine and a bottle of jaques fruit cider. It was lovely
Ian is on lates this weekend. It is his last shift in custody then he is off for 2 weeks then he is starting on the crime team so no more nights.

Hi everyone,
I'm pleased for you Simone, and glad that it all went so well, must get around to looking at your pics.
We haven't been up to much here, just trying to entertain the kids without spending a fortune. Everything is so expensive!! Speaking of expensive, - we got Kylan's new uniform yesterday. The only place you can buy it from is the school's own uniform shop and they are quite strict. It cost £441.20, and i've still got to get her shoes and trainers yet. She looks lovely though, so grown up in a blazer.
I wish Daz wasn't working nights Rosy. That was the good thing about him being on CID. He is still undecided about where he wants to be (response, CID, or roads, are up for grabs). Something that is really annoying us here is the talk of council wardens(do you have them in your town?) being put on call (so working some night shifts) and getting a pay increase to £37,000. Can you believe it, - they don't do half as much work as real cops, or face the same dangers. It makes you wonder why anyone wants to be a police officer sometimes.
Whilst i would love to meet up with you all Linda, realistically i probably won't be able to make it, but will keep an eye on your plans just in case. Thanks for the offer though.
I hope your temporary job share has stopped being so bossy Rhonda. Good for you though for standing up to her!!
I've added you on facebook Lu.

I hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunshine.
Bye for now! x
6/8/08 15:53
Hiya
glad your wedding went well & you enjoyed your honeymoon Simone. I've just about mastered facebook but don't know anyones details to add them. My full name is Lucina Shakespeare - think there will only be one on there but if not my home town is Belper. Hope that's enough details.
Sam had his final jabs this morning & has been a bit sleepy this aft so I'm taking full advantage of him cuddling on the settee with Daddy whilst I go on here! We're having a proffessional photo done of him tomorrow, it's only cost £25 & we get one at 4 months, one at 8 months & another at a year old.
Not much else to report. Take care, Lu x

Hi everyone,
Sorry haven't been on for ages, been feeling down in the dumps, but getting out slowly. We got our planning appeal rejected, so doesn't leave much options for us now other than try to sell the house, but our neighours have been on the market for ages, they are now going rent their's out.
My hubby gets priorty payments, but won't get as much as he normally gets as he left and came back, but every bit helps especially near christmas.
Have started to look around for bargins for christmas, but it is the storing of them, especially now that will have to move. Might have to speak to my parents about using some of their house for storage.
Can't believe the school holidays are up now. Trying to fit everything in this last week. Jacob goes back on Tuesday and I really think he needs to go back, because he is getting naughty and not listening to a word I say.
Does anyone watch Big Brother, not been so good this year? Not sure who I want to win if anyone.
Right going to let the children run around the garden for a while.
