Lu,Happy birthday and thats lovely news,I bet your excited to be an auntie again! I was looking after my niece yesterday,shes only 7 weeks old and spent most of the day asleep but when she was awake she was smiling at me,and staring at my face,I think she was wondering where her mum was!
Linda,I cant believe how fast preschools and nurseries fill up! Daniel never went to either but I would have probably been in your situation and probably would have struggled to get him in a good one I wanted. I think some parents put their name down when their born just so theyve got the nursery they want,afew people I know did that.
Kerry,I sent you a reply back on facebook. Big hugs though,I can imagine how sad it must be that shes leaving primary school,id be just the same,ive made some lovely friends just by Daniel being at school and the thought of us all not seeing eachother everyday for a chat would be sad too!
I bloody hate Tax credits,I think im being ripped off with the amount of money were getting. Im really considering going to the citizens advice first then going to my local inland revenue and getting them to go over everything.I did that once and they realised they'd make a mistake and sorted it out for us. Can I just ask,since your hubbys/partners have joined the police have any of you been told you've been overpaid? Were told every year that were overpaid and I dont know what to do about it,I give all the correct details from the p60 and yet we only receive £39 a month. I really feel like were being ripped off and mark has asked some people he works with who's wives also have jobs and they're getting more than us.Can anyone tell me if what im getting sounds right as your hubbys are in the police too. Any help would be appreciated before I loose my temper with the whole thing!

Happy birthday and what fab news about your brother. Whens the baby due. OMG i bet it was a shock to dicover you were pregnant after DH had a vasectomy.

I'm on strike today from work so making the most of it had a bedroom carpet fittet yesterday and went into my new school where I will be working in Sept. Today going to the hairdressers. I have also been tring to sort out a pre school for ALex and it is proving to be a nightmare as everywhere is full and has long waiting lists. I can't believe it. I just though I would get a place to start next Easter. So if anyone is wanting a pre school place get names down now even if the babies are not yet born lol

Good morning everyone,
well today is my birthday & I've just had the best present ever & needed to share it with someone!
My brother phoned to wish me "Happy Birthday" & then told me he & his girlfriend are pregnant. They already have a 7 year old daughter but were due twins in May & had been trying for over a year. They found out 1 twin had died at the first scan then at 15 weeks the second twin was very poorly - downs syndrome plus many other problems & they were advised to end the pregnancy as the chances of the baby surviving were low. It hit my sil very hard especially as I was pregnant with Sam & we hadn't planned ours (he was conceived 3 years after DH's vasectomy!) She had to deliver him & they found out he was the little boy they really wanted. Sil has only just been able to meet Sam as she's still very emotional. Anyway this has been the best news ever, fingers crossed all ok this time for them. Sorry for going on.

oops. Don't know what happened there. Went away to check on Caden, and when i came back my half written message was posted.
Not much else to say though. So, 'hello' to everyone i've not mentioned already, and sorry to hear about hubby's back Lu.
Daz is still on response at the moment and has decided to definately go for sergeants next time round. Will keep a look out for Mark on TV rosy.

I’m feeling really out of sorts today. It was Kylan’s last day at Primary today, and i didn’t think we would all feel as sad as we do. They had a leavers assembly this morning, and it was so sad. The kids gave presentations and made little films along to very sad music. They, and all the parents were in tears. Can’t believe she is growing up so fast.
I hope Jacob and Oliver settle ok in their new classes and that you get along with the teachers.

hello,
im so tired,ive been food shopping this morning then into town with my mum searching for shoes,she's going to a race day on saturday and has bought a gorgeous but very expensive maxi dress which has all these colours in so she's spoilt for choice in what shoes she gets yet we didnt get any! she wants to go shopping again before she goes but we were so fed up of walking we wanted to come home and then it was time to pick daniel up.
rhonda,its so nice to have a good teacher.im abit worried about daniels next teacher as when my sister was a teaching assistant at the school every break time she was s***ging off some kids in her class so it doesnt fill me with much confidence in her.the one he's got now is abit strange but she's been okish to deal with.we'll just have to wait and see how things go on. is jacob looking forward to going into the next class? i cant believe daniels going into year 2 already!
linda,congratulations on your new job and hope you have a brill holiday,im sure alex will love the plane! make sure you take lots of photos!!
how old is sam now? it doesnt seem 2 minutes ago that him and oliver were both born! are you on facebook? were all on. thats a shame for you hubby,did he injure himself at work? an operation sounds terrible,fingers crossed for him that it doesnt come to that.
well mark might be on tv on 28th july! the programme is called cctv cities and is on channel 5 at 10pm every monday night but blackburn is on 28th so we'll see if marks actually on it! he was filmed and had a camera on the dash of the van but they filmed for a couple of weeks so they will have got alot of footage.the only thing is mark and some other policeofficer had to cs someone so they might have put that on but we'll see!
rhonda,glad jacobs birthday was nice,sounds like your bbq was lively,what were you putting in your food?! when my mil gets drunk she gets really giddy,i find it funny as she's always laughing and is harmless! do you normally get on well with her?

Hi everyone,
Don't seem to have much time to type anything at the moment. Jacob is 5 today, had a very small party at my parents. Had a BBQ yesterday which was a success apart from MIL getting drunk and making a fool of herself. Really cross with her, but won't say anything too much hassle.
Been to see Jacob's new teacher tonight. She seems really nice and I told her of my concerns over him and she is aware from the other teacher. She even knew that he was left handed which is more than his present teacher so she made an good impression in my book.
Have 1 more party to organise for Saturday and then my life should get back to some sort of normality.
Good luck Simone for your wedding and look forward to seeing the photo.

hope you're all well & enjoyed the sunshine over the weekend. We went to a local park yesterday & Tilly had a great time in the paddling pool in her cossy - kids don't feel the cold half as much as we do!
Good luck for saturday Simone, hope the weather is good for you. We go to Devon on friday so I'm praying for good weather too for the next couple of weeks. Hubby still got a knackered back & on restricted hours at work. The rehab place was like a 5 star hotel but even with intensive physio it looks like he'll need an operation.
Lou, how's Oliver? Sam is such a hungry baby, so different to Tilly. I started him on baby rice & banana over the weekend & he can't get enough of it. Going to start pureed (sp) veg tomorrow.
Congrats on the new job Linda. Do your schools break up for summer holidays this week?

What a lovely day it's been,we had a bbq for tea as it was so hot,hope it stays like that.
Daniel was at a football party today,he had a fab time and was absolutley shattered by bedtime!
Simone,not long now until your wedding day! Ooh im so excited for you,I love weddings! It was my cousins wedding yesterday in cyprus,I was asked to be a bridesmaid but she only gave us about 6 months notice and we'd already booked our holiday to spain and took time off school and work so we couldnt go,plus the flights are about £350 each,there too expensive,we flew to florida for less than that!
Linda,hope your holiday goes well,im sure you'll all have a fab time you lucky thing!

Well its the big day tomorrow (bil wedding) Amelia is now in bed she said hse can't sleep but I have just been up and she is well away!!!
Her dress is hung up with Dannys suit all ready to go! We are having our hair done in the morning I have got a fascinator!!! (photos will be worth a laugh at!!) I bought my dress from monsoon thre other week then changed it last week for a diif one! Its like a orange/coral dress plain satin on top and then shiffon ruffles all the way down to my knee - all ny accessories are black
Oliver is coming with us in the day and going to my mums at night - had to write alist for my mum about Olivers bottles etc and she laughed and said I have brought up 3 of my own!! I'm not looking forward to leaving him over night but once I get a few barcardis down me I should be fine!
Is your wedding the 19th Simone? Hope the rain dries up for you! Have you got everything ready?

Im simone and getting married next Saturday to Dean who is in the MET. We have a 3yr old son called Kian who is a little terror.
How is everybody?? good i hope?? Well Dean is on nights and his last night tonight till 1st August ..already had phone calls saying the night is dragging lol...How horrible has this weather been? i hoping it will change
.Well little man is not well, think he has got over excited about the wedding..has a fever and was in bed by 7pm which is very unusual for him. We have booke our honeymoon, going to Kos for the week all inclusive which is a present from my mum and stepdad..we fly out on 23rd July and staying in a hotel the night before at Gatwick airport.. Kian is staying with his nan..funfilled week at centre parcs..really hate the idea of leaving him, but knowing he is going to have a fab time..sorts of easy's it a tiny bit..a little bit

Hi everyone,
I have just been offered another job. I start in sept can't wait.
Humberside police don't have an autocrime team. Ian is going into the crime team. He does not get every sunday off, but most of his shifts are earlies. the new shifts are earlies 8 till 5 and lates are 4 till midnight. At least there are no more nights (but we are just waiting for a new kingsize bed to be delivered I was hoping for a night in by myself in our new bed lol)
I could do with a new laptop and our pc has given up althogether now. We will have to look into getting one afterour hols.
I only have theis week and next week left at work hooray
Alex is in a cot bed but looks too big for it. I think we are going to get bunk beds as Ben and Alex share a room.
Where is our summer.

Hello!!!
Well Mark started his new autocrime job today,he's on til midnight but to be honest its gone so quick since 3:30pm when he left!
I too have a new computer!! I wasnt intending on buying one but went for a look and couldnt resist!! I love it!!!
Oliver is now in a big bed! We bought him one today and got a lovely mattress for it and bought daniel one too,they're so comfy i wish it was on my bed! He seems to love his bed though,he brushed his teeth and took himself off to bed! When i went up to his room he was in his bed with his teddy and looked so cozy!! I cant believe how big hes getting though.
Linda,is Ian going on the autocrime team too? or is his different? The hours seem so much better and hes off every sunday and every other saturday so thats fair enough.We might beable to actually start going out once in a while!
Thats a shame for sam,I havent heard from her in ages.Poor thing,I hope her and Ben can sort things out.
Right im off to bed,im going to make the most of having it to myself for an hour or so!!

Hi everyone,
Being having trouble with my laptop so have a nice new one now.
Not done too much. Jacob got his new class list on Friday and quite pleased that he has most of his friends in his class. Most of the bad ones are in the other class, but don't know some of the names, so they have probably mixed it well.
We had the school fete today which was a total wash out which is a shame.
Hubby and Isabella are asleep on the sofa....

Hi everyone.
Hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend or what is left of it.
Alex is not well, although he has perked up a bit, it must be the calpol. I think he is teething he has just the 4 back ones to come through. I did have a feel and can feel one poking through the gum.
Well I went for an interview on thurs, but didn't get the job and I really wanted it. to cut a long story short it was between me and another girl. The head said it was basically a flip of a coin and can they keep my details incase something come up.
Ian is started the same shifts rosy in aug, which is good cos when he is on lates we don't need child care as i'm home for 3.30 and thats what time Ian sets of for wk.
I have been talking to Sam on facebook and things are really bad with her and ben, she didn't think they would be together much longer.
Oh well I'm off to tidy and clean as it looks like a bomb has exploded in Ben and Alex's room cos we have been decorating out room we have put everything into thier room. Hopefully we will have the carpert fitted next week and the bed delivered the following week.

Marks off this weekend which is nice and he starts his new job on monday.He's on a 4pm-midnight which isnt bad,at least he's going to be on better hours,the kids will know when he's coming home!
Ive not done much these past few days,me and mark painted our decking which nearly killed us! We were aching for days after! Weve just been enjoying the garden whilst its been nice.
Daniel went to blackpool zoo on thursday with his school,he loved it! I cant believe he's going into year 2 soon!!
Anyway im going to go and wake mark up who's fallen asleep on the settee!

Hi everyone. Welcome Lisa I'm Linda My dp is in the Humberside police. Where are you based?
I have decided not to take the job as I was led to believe the salary was more than what I get at the moment. But I have just got the paper work and in fact it is less.
Ian is also going into the crime team as from Aug so will not be doing nights. So we will see more of him.
Well I went on a leaving do last night, we went for pizza then bingo (but didn't win but had a laugh) then onto the town for a few drinks was out from 6pm until 1.30am. I have not done that for ages. I will be shattered tonighy. But I have a bottle of pink Moet to drink (only a small bottle)and champagne truffles to eat. my line manager left so she bought us all a thankyou prezzie.

I think boys are easier although I have not had a girl to compare with, but friends always boys are easier and my 3 have all been quite easy.
TAX CREDITS ........now that's swearing!!!
We have also been told every year that we were overpaid. About 18mths ago we received threats of court action to recover £1700 that we were apparently overpaid, even though i had appealled and it was supposed to be on hold. Anyway they said that i had to start paying back monthly even whilst they were looking into it. So i agreed to pay back £30 per month. By the time i had paid £300 back, i had still not heard from them. Several transferred phonecalls later they said that i didn't owe them anything at all because the year i was supposedly overpaid, i hadn't even made a claim. They hadn't stopped taking my £30 though, and said they wouldn't pay me my £300 back either. It took loads of phonecalls and action from my MP before i got it back. I was so annoyed with them that i said i didn't want to claim anymore. They said you can't cancel a claim once you have one running - it only stops if you earn too much! USELESS! Anyway we get £2.24 per week now (what use is that!) and i don't work.
Thanks for everyone that showed concern on facebook. It obviously wasn't too bad, but i was so sad. Still a little sad now. It's just so weird to think she won't go back there. She's had such a good time. I knew all the parents and the kids too, as i used to work with them as a TA when they were in yr 2, so it's such a big change.
Great news about the pregnancy Lu. Hope everything goes well for them this time.
Nursery's are the same near us too Linda. I haven't put Caden's name down yet, because i don't know if he will be ready as soon as he is 3. Good luck with your search.
Daz is complaining about something from the other room, so i'd better see what's wrong. He's had 10 days off and done nothing but moan. He's back at work Sunday so i will get some peace.
