aleena yes it is miserable to go out..it is soooo cold ..we had light dusting of snow in morning.....
we went to tkmaxx , got madina a pair of skechers leather shoes for 12.99 and i needed a rucksack with a small pocket at front for quran/prayer book....and finally found it in tkmaxx....just like a pump bag...but a lil bigger ....my dad i saying i may need a torch if its too dark weh looking for the pebbles to stone the shaitaan.....
going to start some packing from tmrw...as i have to pack for the kids too...

we all got sorethroats and slight colds at the moment. dd seems the worst, i went out, got home a while ago, so so cold outside. wrapped the kids up well.
so much food at hone but fancied a burger and fries, dh just got some hes off to friends, im gonna get some rest as ds kept me up all night last night.

alhamdulillah allah swt made it so easy for the female beliver..if only we knew
anyway i just got a call from dh to say one of my friends jst had an accident...her car toppled over but mashaallah herself and the kids are ok....some guys manaed to pull the out. i wish i had the car so i could pop over but she is still in hospital wiht the kids. weather is so bad today and inshaallah it eases up tmrw as i dont fancy driving in such conditions

Most people i know have worn white but i have never looked into the rules that closely so wouldnt have known either way, however on all the hajj clips i have seen, there is a noticeable number of black clothed people, amongst all the white so i think i just assumed you could wear any .
Niz that does sound very odd, why didnt they just do something like getting the teacher soaked with wet sponges? Perhaps air your concerns to the teachers.

Great news Sumaiya about the visa, MA. I too thought that everyone had to wear all white as ihram. Hope you have a good Haj and get to do everything you want to, IA. Please make duas for all of us.

. You really do come up with the strangest things, honour killing indeed.Last Thursday was non uniform day at N's school. A few of the schools in the area has got together and arranged a scheme where the school that collects the most amount of money would have their head teacher locked up in jail for a night. Poor N was so upset, she kept saying she wants to go in uniform and that why would anyone want to make Mr. K be locked up in prison. She kept asking me, is that not a bad thing to do to a person, why would anyone want to do it etc. I tried to explain to her that it's just a bit of fun, but tbh I did see her point. Aren't the schools themselves encouraging a certain type of wrong thinking in the children by doing these kind of things? Or am I overthinking it?
We're having a lazy Sunday today. Might go out later. Tomorrow is a holiday for N too (inset day).

salaams all yes its a huge misture of feeling .....
dh has got his ihraam, as for ladies they can wear anuthing as long as it covers well .....of course. many ppl do think tht in haj ladies have to wear white...but its a myth/house wives tale. there is no particular dress code for a woman in ihraam just thth they have to keep face uncovered or wear the niqaab which does not touch the face. it is like a cap with a niqaab attached over it. im just wearing my abayas.......just need some good shoes/trainers....

subhanallah, very pleased for you sumaiya. im sure you are very busy getting in the zone mentally, so much to remember to make the best of it. Have you bought your haji clothes? Do you have any contacts in saudi, that usually helps.

oooerrrr ladies im preparing for haj and u all talking about fatal attraction and kim absinger moviies....never ever saw them...i was never into movies.....i loved the more so murder mystery type movies...or the mafia ones lol......my all time fave is still heat.....
anyway went to tottenham today to collect our visas .....and alahmdulillah we got them...so inshaallah we go on the 4th december......its arriving super fast subhanaaalah......

hey all, had a lot to catch up on, interesting convos, lol can you imagine if aleena got drunk, she'd spill ALL the beans lol. Aleena i think you mentioned abt some cramping pains before period was due, it's possibly implantation pains when the egg attaches itself to the lining... who knows, tis the season to be pregnant fa la la la la la la la LA. lol
Dh knew all the nitty gritty at a ridiculous age, something like 6 i think he said, think they are much more aware in the subcontinent.

oh re pregnancy scare, im not scraed anymore and getting more menatlly prepared if i am pregnnat i will welcome it, i think it came as a bit of a shock and will be very grateful if i am and if not will be grateful too, i was abit hormonal yesterday i think, feel much more calmer today lol.
I dont feel pregnant though so highly doubt it, il do another test maybe tomorrow,

salaams all, i woke up so late today. im gonna go shopping one of my best friends had a baby girl a few days ago and need to get her something and visit, dd is excited but shes got abit of a sore throat and both kids kinda cranky today. have a nice time at the farm ameli. its cold isnt it?
Sumiya my best also named her baby same name as your dd, she already has another girl about 1 too.
anyway hope everyone has a nice weekend
