We have no idea what these 'celebs' pregnancy's are liek though do we? They may well have a breech baby in there, they may well have extremely raised bp, risk of Pre Eclampsia or just want a section. Who really cares?

I had an elective section. There was no real need for it (although when the time did actually come dd was footling breech so would have ended up with an emergency section anyway) medically.

I had a previous full term still birth, she died during labour. The sheer thought of going into labour again petrified me. Am I ridiculous?

Not that I care what you think. You have your babies the way YOU want and i'll do the same.

Tokophobia is a very real and genuine psychological issue. To dismiss it as 'just being scared and therefore ridiculous' is a bit silly.

Go and do some reading on Tokophobia, consider things like previous stillbirths and complications and then tell people they're ridiculous.

I would have a c-section if I got pregnant again (fat chance though) because giving birth the last time was nothing short of horrendous- every minute of it.

Natural birth is not for everyone.

My natural birth had my laid up for a good day afterwards attached to drips and I had to píss in a bedpan and found it impossible to hold my son.

Why does everyone assume a natural birth is better for all?

ive been having periods so had no idea, plus a mixture of -ve and +ve results,so went to the doc and she sent me for a scan thismorning, there just like 2 little tiny prawns atm!

i think as long as the babies healthy then thats all that matters but there are more riskc with c sections than a natural birth.

if you go into labour and then have to have an emergency c section fair enough, you need to do what you need to do,but to choose one just cus your scared is ridiculous in my eyes.

To be honest, I think simlarly to Sage. Surely its their choice? All these schelbs go private anyway, so its not like they arent paying for it. Their body will pay for it also, their babies wont. I dont see the problem.

More fool them, it's not an easy way of giving birth as far as I can tell.

No, there is nothing wrong with an elective c-section.
