K8s home again for a rest, pessaries didn't work, are going to try breaking waters tomorrow i believe.

when being induced, its good to walk.. I was induced both times.. With ds i layed down so took 3pessaries before i started walking about like a madwomen, when i sat down, my waters broke and baby came the next day.. With dd, started walking about after the 1st pessary and baby came quicker!6/7/08 08:18

I was exactly the same hun, but keep your fingers crossed! The second lot of 4 worked for me, so good luck for today! Hope bubs makes an appearance soon!

Hey girls!
Yup, had four pesseries
All they have done has given me excrutiating back pain........nowt else! They checked me over, cervix is still closed and baby still happily kicking and bobbing away so definately no signs Back in later today (10am) for another load of torture! Just glad I've been given 24 hours rest! They will do another 4 pessaries and if no luck they will try and break waters.......unlikely to happen as cervix is shut tighter than the bank of England and baby is sooooooooo not ready!
Will look like C-Section if no further luck

Ah bless, that happened with me too, I was so disappointed when they sent me home! The maximum they can normally give is 4 pessaries over 2 days - if there's absolutely no movement after that they have to give your body a rest for at least a full 24 hours and unless you have complications will usually send you home.
I had to have 8 before they would break my waters to speed me along. Hope it's quicker for you K8! xxxx

really, when i was induced with dd once they started i was not allowed home even though nothing was happening.

last news was that she was being sent home as nothing happening after several pessaries, and then they were starting pessaries again tomorrow.

Yup, MrsW is right............bloody pessaries lol! I've had 7 and still nowt, my cervix has softened but that's it...............rubbish really! Still high up and far back!
Tomorrow they will try and break my waters (think they are going to need a MASSIVE needle) and start the drip!
Body is not ready, nor is baby apparently lol!!! Fun fun fun, I love a bit of drama!
