I hope it passes soon. I know only too well the pain although it was over 3 years ago.
My stone was never 'found' so to speak as I was in hospital and they never came and got the bedpans apart from once or twice. I never saw anything either-as soon as the pain went and I felt well again I could go home. I hope it is the same for you.
I kept waiting scared as anything for this big stone to pass and me to be in pain and it did pass (had to have had) but I never felt a thing.
I hope this is a bit comforting to hear!

The pain is a lot better as well ta- Monday afternoon I felt like i'd been ran over by a truck. I can walk now, albeit it in a laughable limping fashion. Thanks for asking x

How is the pain? Is it under control?
I have no idea about I.D for your FIL, but I imagine it is just a formality now-still awful waiting for that confirmation though. It is hard to believe they are gone till the absolute proof is there xx
