funny question

this reminds me of when we had to ask our next door neighbour if we could trim some of her tree as some of the branches were in the way of our old sky dish. (their tree branches were coming over to our side of the garden, sky wasn't working properly because of the tree)

Ah well, if the neighbours aren't bothered that's their call! Personally I'd never allow it, and have already denied it once. But there you go, I'm a meanie, lol!

i actually think the neihgbours are fine with it pmsl. well they would have to be as the dish man needed to get into their garden.
i wish i could take a picture of it to show you how low down it really is. i wouldnt give my permission for it to be that low tbh.
4/9/08 15:31
me?

wouldnt last there long if it were my neighbours that did it, the dogs would have it down in a jiffy, BA do your neighbours want to borrow them? lol ;-)
4/9/08 15:28
LOL! n00bi, are you hoping for a fight?!

With the dish that low surely the reception will be sh ite!? It's also very susceptible to damage, whether accidental or deliberate!

4/9/08 15:25
I dont imagine theyd get much signal with the dish right down there anyway, mines on the side of the house near the guttering
when did the neighbours get in - can you hear any shouting?

4/9/08 15:22
right the wall looks like part of the extension and the neighbours are in lol. but it just looks really low down. ita about a couple of inches higher than the fence. im 5ft and the fence comes up to just below my boobs.
omg i sound a right nosy cow

4/9/08 15:20
I wouldnt be surprised if the neighbours suddenly 'lose' their satellite signal when the neighbours get home tbh

4/9/08 15:19
yes that could be what is it. theres no windows in the wall it just looks like its an extension but the dish is in the garden.
its quite low down as well actually, the man erected it just by standing there (ie no ladder lol)
tbh im not sure i would give permission for it although if it were high up i wouldnt mind.
4/9/08 15:18
More to the point, if it is a party wall, that would mean they had to access their neighbour's garden to install the dish!? And they did that without asking?! How rude!!
4/9/08 15:18
if it's on the wall wont it get knocked by every cat in the neighbourhood walking along? is it actually IN next doors side of the wall too? personally I wouldnt appreciate that if it was meand think it was taking a liberty
4/9/08 15:16
Do you mean a party wall? If so, I suspect permission would have needed to have been given, I refused it for my neighbour when they asked. Especially as they called it "their wall"!! Erm, no, it's a party wall. Sod off and put your dish elsewhere, I'm not staring at it every time I sit in my garden thanks!

4/9/08 15:09
well its attatched to the wall of the other house but the wall sort of forms part of the fence to next doors garden. so its like fence, wall, fence so the dish is in the garden so to speak
4/9/08 15:05
what do you mean in next doors garden?
if anyone put anything in my garden the dogs would have itpermission would need to be saught I'd imagine if they have attached anything the next doors building

i was just being a nosy parker and the house next door to next door is having a sky dish put in. the house faces the other way to next doors so their house is where next doors garden is.
so the sky dish is being attatched to the house but is in next doors garden if that makes sens?
anyhoo i was just curious to know whether next door would have needed to give permission for the dish to go where it is?
i could always ask my neighbour but i dont want to admit im a nosy cow

hope that makes sense
