Yeah i know he has been to see his last employer this morning hes said he will write one or phone one through as soon as but hes busy. He was kind of hoping that even getting the one in today would be a good start though.

Even if you can get yours off today, an employer reference is never that quick

I'd be tempted to telephone the employer to validate this claim, and to ask what info they require as 'you wouldnt want to miss anything important they needed off by accident'

Its all been done by phone he phoned the employer and he said if he can have the 2 references written and handed into today the jobs his.

the company asking for the reference usually give you a piece of paper with various questions about the candidate on it, have the company contacted you or your friend?

Or....is polite, punctual, and smells as sweet as a freshly picked rose

Yeah its for a job, an apprenticeship. He needs one employer reference and one character.

He is not polite, seldom punctual, needs to scrub his pits because he stinks and is a shoe in for a guest spot on JK.

Ive been asked to write a character reference for a friends brother apparently there is nobody else to do it and its needed today, but erm what do you write?? i have no idea
