When i was pregnant with my daughter i know straight away that i was pregnant like a couple of days after conceiving, because when i went to the clinic couple weeks later to see who how many weeks i was. The nurse asked me how did i know that i was pregnant and i told her i did a test and it was positive, she said that was impossible as i was only 2 weeks pregnant.

    Your so lucky emmalou2

Had my last depo on the 4th April as me and my bf are trying for a baby, but my body gone mad. I was on the depo last year for a year and i come off around the same time as this year and my period went straight to normal after a months off the depo (wasn’t trying for a baby back then)

Since coming of the depo this year i've only had 2 period one in july which was kinda weird which lasted 2 days. Didn’t have one in august but had really bad pregnancy signs like really sore nipples, feeling sick and tired. Had a period in September which lasted for 10 days (stupid thing decided to come on my romantic week away with bf) and now nothing im back to having pregnancy signs again. did a pregnancy test but it was negative so im sitting here confused like hell about what my body doing.

never going back on the depo again

Good luck for everyone who's trying

My cousin was on the depo injection and it took 20 months for her af to return. She was on it for 3 years though so i think the amount of time your on it effects how long your af takes to return. I dont know but even 14 months after her af returned she still hasnt managed to get pregnant.

I know i wont touch it due to this. Im very happy with my little coil lol.

    Glad your af arrived anyway.

I had the jabs once for a 6 month period of time... took 2 years for periods to come back!!!   And then they were irregular.

Depo jabs have also been linked to depression and teen suicides outside of the UK (what they don't tell you in the leaflets) which I'm betting nobodys doctors bothered to tell them... mine sure didn't!

I had the depot when I was about 19 and when I stopped I didn't have a period for 18 months and at that point fell pregnant. So perhaps they were about to start up again, but I had to go for dating scans as I had absolutely no lmp. I also felt very down and low and gained weight.

I did some research before I went on Deop as I knew it could delay af coming back. On average it takes 5.1 months for af to return. Obvioulsy it can be quicker or longer. I took it because I thought I didn't wnat anymore children. I now think I do so have ocme off depo, My last jab was due 29th July and no sign of af yet, Not woried though as I expect it to take about 6 mths or so. There are many women who wait up to a year fo raf to come back.

Don't worry just take a test just in case and then sit tight. Maybe go on the pill as this helps it return I have heard.

I thought the depo was great for stopping period pain, although i stopped bleeding entirely the whole time i was on it. I still managed to get pregnant on it. I wouldn't use it again.

I went utterly psychotic on the depo so never having it again. They don't warn you about the effect on your moods, yikes!!

One of my friends fell pregnant whilst on it too.. She's the one person beating me in the super-fertility stakes.

No idea how long it should take for periods to come back when you finish it though. I went straight from that to the pill and rarely had periods on that either - then in May I found out I was pregnant again. Ho hum.. I give up.

with HVs and all they only go by average, but each kid is diffrent - my godmothers daughter is HUGE, she is 11 years old and nearly 6ft tall!!! she is in size 10 clothes already (i havnt even got to that size yet! im 10years her senior!) - she gets told she is overweight, obese infact, but she isnt - her dad is a HUGE African man, i mean MASSIVE, i come to belly button, lol, and her mum is from a big built family, who are also 6ft+

but they ignore these facts, they go by average, so kids like my GMs daughter, your ds and my ds who are above average get told they are overweight and we as parents get sniffed at for being so damn awful

its all bollox and the reason why i choose NOT to see health pros unless my son is ill, and even then, i wont let him on the scales
