Because I had 2 previous sections I was at risk for low placenta, which i had they thought it was acreta which means it was stuck to something thankfully it hadnt attached to my bladder and just my scar tissue.

The docs exact words were it was a bit of a mess in there lol. apparently lots of 'things' were stuck to each other and they said the risk of something going wrong next time would be really high, they cut my old scar tissue out as it would heal better that way.

Thomas was fine to start with and had 3/4 hours in SCBU after birth but he began grunting pretty badly so they took him to NICU and he was put on C Pap for a couple of days then moved onto a ventilator.

Hes now doing really well, he still has his feeding tube as hes very tired as soon as he can drink 2 x 52 mils of milk from a bottle within 24 hours then he can come home with his feeding tube in place, I rang this morning and he managed 40 mils at his 6am feed which is promising.

The sad thing is he should be out of scbu and they would re admit me to the ward to establish his feeding but they have no beds! So I have to get the train and a bus to the hospital to be with him, fingers crossed for Monday coming home

Im very emotional at the moment so dont be too nice to me as I will be in floods all morning lol

    Coongratulations hunni!!

My oldest was in scbu for 2 weeks after she was born she spent a week in an incubator and on venitlators and then she spent another week still scbu unit but in a little cot as she wouldnt feed (didnt suck anything through her mouth) and was fed via a tube in her nose. She is now a happy healthy 3 year old who has certainly made up for those 2 weeks! So keep the good thoughts in mind - i jknow how horrible it is i absolutley hated it, esp leaving her at night i used to cry rivers. Hope everything goes ok and hope he is home soon . if you need to chat or let it all out just pm me - i wish i had spoke to somonne about how i was feeling when it was my lo x x x x x

Can I quiz you further about why no more? Is stuff starting to fuse in there? If I'm being too nosy or you dont want to answer, dont reply but I'm curious, as a fellow c-sectioner who doesn't really know how many they want (but thinks will probo stop at 3!!!)...

Congrats on your wee man, he's gorgeous, take care of yourself!!!

Im ok very very very tired

It was very strange being awake for the c section (my other 2 were emergency so I was asleep)

Its not something I would ever think of doing again, dh gave me a running commentary on what they were doing blugghh. The docs have advised me not to have any more children, not that we were going to anyway. I think I will be more than happy to have my 3 boys at home.

Just waiting for my lift to the hospital to see the little man, I feel like all I have done for the past 2 weeks is cry so im a bit of an emotional wreck!

Thank you all for your kind words

    Kate x
