gkm thats true!plus if this ones a boy too most of ds1s clothes will be resused as most things are immaculate, ill buy a few things for himself but i cant let all those clothes go to waste cus if we have anymore after this it wont be for a while and i wont use them in a few years time.we dont really have to buy any toys this time round weve got everything.

and im a full time mum so im not trying to make up for anything.

i spend too much on my kids not 100's but a lot but i only work 13 hours a week when they are in bed so they get my time too. i think if you earn the money and not using credit then why not.

When people obviously spend so much it makes me wonder what they are trying to make up for

and i know what you mean gkm about the big things, things like having a good education and nice home to live in are important it hink,so weve already sorted that, hes already signed up and paid for for school, and weve just bought out first house which is lovely for a first family home(not a 7 acre wood yet let us work on it lol)we can afford to spend money on him and any other we have so we do,its not like we ring it all up on cards.

it depends on what you consider to be important/the "best". To me those things are worthless and Id rather save for things that will really give my child what I consider "the best" like education or a 7 acre wood.
