    For super cheaty way you can buy  packet dumpling mix for about 25p and just add water - LITTLE at a time so it doesn't get sloppy- they say shapwe into balls then sit into your casserole but I bake mine in teh over so they are like slightly crisp little dough balls then add them to the meal- your personal preference I guess.

    Oh I also add a few dried herbs like sage or thyme to the mix and some black pepper for extra flavour.

    6oz SR flour, 3oz suet, 1 tbsp parsley, salt and pepper, water.

    i never weigh mine but i should imagine i use about a mug of suet, about a mug and a half of self raising flower a large pinch of salt and a bit of water.
