I WAS READING RECENTLY THAT THEY HAVE DISCOVERED THAT ULTRA VIOLET RADIATION IS BEING OMITTED FROM THESE LIGHT BULBS,NOT ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU CANCER APPARENTLY,BUT ENOUGH TO BRING YOU OUT IN SMALL RED SKIN PATCHES IF YOUR USING THEM CLOSE TO YOU,ie BEDSIDE LAMP
Sorry for the caps btw and it was the ones without the glass casing round them.

I've only had 4 so far but they were through the local council's warmzone scheme. They're supposed to be insulating my loft free of charge too.

Tried to find a news link but failed as i am lazy.
Tis called an EPC- all properties are now required to have one since 1st Oct iirc.
It gives your property an energy efficiency rating similar to those on fridges, washing machines etc. An A for being mega energy effiecient, down to an F for being a bit cack.
A guy came round and took photos of our boiler, windows, radiators- wrote down how many outside walls, qulaity/age of double glazing and some othr cráp.

Ive had 12 so far (3 boxes of 4).

What survey is this?!
All i know is boxes of lightbulbs keep turning up. Not complaining but it just seems like a hell of a waste of money if everyone in the country is getting them. I'd rather have lower bills.

Could be because of that new energy survey being done on all rented properties?
Our landlord sent us a load, but as we already had them (from when they were free with the paper
) we gave them to family.11/10/08 16:32
Yes, we got some from British Gas

Loads and loads of energy efficient lightbulbs by their energy suppliers?
ive recieved 8 from British Gas and and 4 from Southern Electric (or whatever their name is now)
Anyone else??
