I did think about using a tie wrap or straps - I'm just worried that it won't be secure enough!

I won't mention welding to my dh until I get desperate, otherwise he'll be out at B&Q buying a welding torch before I know it

urm... is there a post at the bottom? or could you use then tie wrap things to secure it onto the  bars? other than that... weld it? lol

Just wondering if anyone can help?

We have a really wierd staircase - it curves round and has metal bars all down one side.  We can fix a normal stair gate onto one side, but I haven't seen any that we can attach to the metal bars.  Has anyone seen anything that would fit?  It's a bit of a long shot but I'm stuck!
