i am sooooooooooooo sorry i totally and utterly forgot!!!!!!
i am feeling really ditzy at the moment.
docs was at 9.00, i am REALLY suffering with the embarrasing never to be mentioned out loud piles (thats me whispering). i am in agony with it, it feels like someone is stick pins in my bottom every time i walk. and on top of that i've got a cold so constantly coughing which really doesn't help.
good news about the HB, glad you like madelaine, my next appointment is the 25th November and thats for my Anti D (nice!!!!!)

Take it this week is a no go then lol! Not to worry another time.
Had my app today with madeline, she was lovely! Anyway have to see her again after my consultants app in Jan to book in for homebirth but she was very supportive and said as long as I was sensible and transfered if the attending midwives were not happy about anything there is no reason why I cannot be booked in. However they do need to make me very aware of the risks which she will go through in Jan. So all looking ok at the moment.
We are hoping that my notes from Brighton dont throw up anything except the poss that both babies were back to back which I can work on with my doula.

Well I had a doc app last fri all ok. I have a midwife app on fri morn about the home birth thing at 10.30, what time is your doc app, might see you then!
So def free fri afternoon let me know when you know more. Maybe send me a text, not been getting on as much as would like to check stuff.

well got it all sorted, spoke to HR and they said i do accrue and even better they said it would be advisable to take what you accrue b4 maternity leave which is exactly what i wanted to do.
glad all was good with the doc, i've got a docs one on friday morning
i think i can do Friday just need to double check with steve he is off tuesday and i work thursday so they are definately out, but friday has potential, he gave me his rota this evening but then said its provisional til he can find his diary.....MEN!!!!!
i'm working tomorrow for a few hours , my boss has had to have an operation, its all a bit dodgy, he told me he fell off his bike but to be honest if you'd seen his hand you'd never have believed that, then later on Julie my ass manager said "right i've had enough of covering up for him he beat up his boyfriend!!!!!!!" i was gobsmacked i knew he was gay but would never have thought he had it in him to be like that.
so he is in hospital, steve is off tomorrow and i thought well it does me no harm to look good and earns me a few extra pennies for christmas and its only til 1, steves fine about it his only worry is "what shall i do with matthew" bloody typical i have to think that 4 days a week and he's worry about 4.5 hours!!!!!

oesnt sound right, you should still accrue holiday, but I suppose it may be unique to m&p. You need to find the number for the central HR department, there must be one, and give them a call rather tan going through your boss. They will have all the up to date info and would be dealing with any normal mat pay queriesso should be able to help on this issue. Good luck.
We have just been to a virgin vie party to buy my sisters xmas pressies. Cant believe how quick it is all coming around. Just had my antenatal docs app all ok nothing to worry about. Am seeing madeline next week about the homebirth situation so will see what happens.
If you are around next week let me know, as it is half term I have two children to entertain and no time off! Am free next tues, thurs and fri afternoon. I take it you are at work as normal is Matthew at nursery or does he break up for half term?

i am sooooooooooooooooooooo confused, i spoke to my boss today and he's told me that while on maternity leave i do not accrue holiday because i am claiming ma not being paid by them!!!!!!! i've googled this and from what i can work out this is not the case.
he's been pretty good but there is no way i am losing money/holiday if i am entitled. this is all so complicated i just want it sorted!!!!!
i can't even apply for ma til i know whats going on

Just realised how long it has been since I have been on! Nick is back at work and his hand is def better so havent been able to get near the computer all weekend!
I have to see madelaine as Jenny said that she hadnt dealt with many homebirth req and I assume Madeline is the senior midwife so will have to discuss it with her. It is a double app so hope it all goes ok, have been researching on the homebirth website to get ideas if she is a bit anti.
Good luck with the photo. Dan has had his back from the toddler group and it is very cute!

how come you have to see madelaine? have you seen her with the other 2 i can't remember whether you were in Brighton.
well i have sent my Matb1 to Hr (its in huddersfield) i have to wait til they return it along with my smp1 form THEN i can send off for MA. i am hoping to leave on the 29th december (last shift) i've been told i can take my remaining 3 days holiday (200
THEN i want to take 13 days holiday (2009 allocation) THEN go on MA haven't worked out when that is yet though, i reckon i will have the same problem as you though and they will say i can't have that much holiday, but baring in mind IF i go back it won't be til begining of november and quite how they would expect me to take 17 days holiday between then and christmas i don't know, they would be better off letting me, and i don't see how its an issue especially as i am not there any way and if the don't give me the holiday i will go on maternity leave, so either way i won't be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!well we got thru matthews birthday without a problem just got to get through his "pretend" birthday on sunday.
i'm a tad annoyed at steve really, you know i have been trying to sort this photo thing out, well i got it all sorted for the 28th October but if they had a cancellation then am on sun 19th. well i get a phone call today to say they have 2.15pm on sunday, i stupidly spoke to steve and he's like yep thats fine do it. matthews party starts at 3!!!!!!! i call them back and she say ooooo i have 12.30 so theres me thinking bloody hell thats great, only to be told by steve my brother in law can't do then cause he has rugby!!!! IT WAS HIS BLOODY IDEA IN THE FIRST PLACE why he can't give up rugby for one day i will never know.
i can see i am gonna be soooooooooooooooooooooooo stressed by it all, my friend is coming over to help me and she can be here if anyone turns up.
got myself a cardy from m+s today its not maternity but its a sort of swing one but with LONG SLEEVES!!!!!! i really like it and figured seeing as its not maternity i can wear it after
no idea if that will work, looknig at it now it looks better in real life than that picture, the buttons are more tortoise shell type iyswim

I know what you mean about the swimming, Dans instructor was very surprised when I said I was pregnant! I stick out half a mile in my maternity swimsuit! Not going today as Dan has horrid cough and I have sore throat and headache. Next week will be the last one I will go to, cant really afford it, Dan can sort of swim and he keeps kicking my bump!
Take no notice about the birthday thing. Do what suits you and steve. If it means both of you are there to see him open his presents go with it. Saying that Pippa led Dan downstairs on his birthday and they proceeded to open all his presents before we even woke up! Will have to have a word about xmas I think!
GRRR at the matB1. Take it you have sent off for maternity allowance now then? I got a phonecall from HR on tuesday about the letter I had sent. It is all agreed that I will do my last shift on 12th Dec and then take my 4wks hol and start mat leave from 11th Jan. Howver I want to take a further 3wks hol at the other end but they cant guarentee that so will need to keep in touch with work so I can book them once next years hol allowance comes out in feb.
I have to see madeline at beggarwood regarding my homebirth. Have an app week after next, it is a double one so not sure what to expect. I hope she doesnt say the oposite to Jenny and say no. I know she cant really but she could make it difficult for me so will see how it goes. If she is I will get the names from my doula of who I need to contact at the hospital regarding it.

i know nick is a computer hogger but if i don't write things down i'll forget to mention them.
got my mat b 1 today despite jenny not ringing.
don't know whether you'll have seen my thread but my mum thinks i'm bad for letting matthew think his birthday is on sunday and not tomorrow, both of us are working all day and the poor little sod will be stuck in nursery til 5 i think thats a crap way to spend your birthday, we'd only do it this year as he knows its his birthday but not when.
booked my works crimbo dinner at the spruce goose so thats something to look forward to.
went swimming this morning and the instructor said i had no idea you were pregnant!!!! all i could say was oh so you thought i was fat then!!!! i was beginning to wonder why no one had mentioned it, and i thought i looked obviously pregnant in a swimming cossie

flaming madelaine didn't give me my mat b1 rang up and was told jenny would call today and sort it but she hasn't so i can see i'm gonna be playing chase for it.
what do you do when your back is playing you up, since saturday i have started to get horrible back pain which i never got with matthew and i don't know what to do. steve is organising a massage for me.

I also have not been on for ages! As Nick is off finding time to get online limited! Feel I should actually be looking after children rather than being online!
Not a lot going on at the mo anyway, baby moving a lot in the morn and eve, sent my maternity allowance form off today and wrote a letter to work outlining what I want to do regarding my leave. Hopefully it should all be ok have asked for any response to be agreed in writing so they cant back out at last minute!

oh bugger realised i hadn't been on here for a while.
i'm feeling absolutely knackered at the mo, today matthew didn't have a sleep and i'm really not used to it.
wandered into town and oh boy hat a mistake that was, it was heaving i couldn't stand it so we came home again.
got matthews party tomorrow, the one my daft friends without kids is hosting, apparently she has made a bob the builder cake.
i started reading the nappy leaflet in bed but fell asleep, there is so much to read and take in.

Well me and Nick went out for our wedding anniversary last night, cant believe we have been married for 8yrs! We went to Little Frankies next to the Ice rink. Then today Nick went to work to give in his sick note and talk about getting a new mouse and I met him in town and we went to Waggamamas for lunch! Feel very fat now lol!
I finally got round to ringing the job centre so should get forms soon. Need to write to work about when to go on leave and what holiday to take before I go. think I have 4 weeks left. Will do that next week. Dont think i qualify for the grant but will apply anyway and see what happens.
Met my doula today, she was lovely. It was nice to talk to her about being a doula in Basingstoke etc. She was very supportive about a home birth and seems very experienced seems to know lots of hands on techniques, something I will have to look into once I start!

i'm knackered today, i have really bad back ache but its right down low at the top of my bottom. i've decided it cause i did the hoovering then cleaned the kitchen cupboards then stood on my feet for 7 hours a work.
i went to a place like jj's in bagshot yesterday and omg it was heaving, actually it was just too busy, matthew loved it but it as hard to keep half an eye on him.

excellent, i will have to leave about 2.30 anyway as a friend of mine is coming over around 3ish as i had mentioned you were picking pippa up.
it seems that the school are saying that sam is the problem, i mean for gods sake he's 4!!!!!!!
matthew had me up 3 times in the night last night so quite how i am still up now i will never know. steve was away at his brothers so i had to deal with him each time
see you tomorrow, i am praying that matthew will be ok, i am going on the theory he'll be having too much fun to think about being tired.
if nick is off though i honestly don't mind if you want to rain check, i have only just thought of that. although on the other hand it might be good to get out of the house

OMG at your friends little boy! Chalk Ridge has high fences around and is locked up, infact it would prob be more of a problem to get them out if there was an emergency, but I am sure they have proceedures in place. Is she going to make an official complaint? I am not sure if she would have to go to the education board ar something? I would be very very unhappy about it to the extent I would probably take my child out of the school. It def needs to be adressed.
I will look out some nappies to bring tom. See you at 12.30ish. As Nick is off work I wont have to rush off at 2.30 but to be honest they will prob have had enough by then!
Not to worry, hope you had a good week. The kids have been driving me mad but only really over the past two days, weather has been so bad. Thinking of going to the fireworks at the war memorial park on wed, but dont want to get the tickets in advance incease the weather is awful, am really dithering about it. Esp as it is a school night as well, but cant go to the hatchwarren one because I am working this sat.
I am going to an NCT homebirth group meeting on tues eve in Sherbourne St John, hoping to meet some women that have been there done that sort of thing. Nick still isnt that happy about it all but tough!!! I am calling the shots here, if he was planning to be my main support I would probably listen to him a bit more but as he isnt then he has no input! Madelaine looked kind of shocked when I said he wouldnt be there!
