ok scan was a nightmare.  Pippa did not behave little sod!  Really thought she would!  The scan seemed to be going ok and then she said I cant see the bottom of the babies spine can you go for a walk and come back.  Pippa had reached her tolerance level so Nick took her off.  When I went back in she said no the baby is being awkward so can you caome back tomorrow morn!  Really unexpected as never had any probs with the other two!

So had to arrange for mum to take Pippa and Dan to school and playgroup and got to hospital at 8.45!  I was scanned again and I was assuming that she would see it straight away because baby was in a different position but no, she said I am not happy I am going to get the consultant because it looks like only one half of the spine goes into the tailbone!

So now I am panicking a bit the consultant comes in but the baby was not happy with being proded and was wriggling around manically!  She finally got some pictures and decided it was all ok phew!  Got a free piccie and then asked if she thought there had been anything seriously wrong to which she replyed no if there had been I would have told you yesterday.  To be honest I didnt think there was a prob until she got the consultant because baby was kicking away like mad.

Think is a boy had really long legs and did not like being woken up.  All the measurements are good for dates so hopefully will progress normally from now.

Thank god I have no more scans baby really didnt like it at all and my middle feels very bruised and tender from where they had to apply so much pressure chasing it around!

Not finding out this time.  Didnt with Pippa and did with Dan.  Because of the general I had with Pippa the midwives told me the sex so this time Iam hoping to find out the sex myself!

Pippa quite excited about coming to the scan (mum picking Dan up so only have to take Pippa) but i think it is more about being picked up early from school!

What days do you work again?  Was thinking of when we can poss meet up at JJ's?  I can do mon afternoon but will have Frances as well or maybe Friday afternoon me and Dan I can ask mum to pick up Pippa.

Yes I have worked at sainsburys long enough but because I only work 12hrs a week i do not pay NI so do not qualify for SMP.

The job centre is at the top of Winchester road opp brinketts car park.  Um if you head for the top of town and mcdonalds and turn right down the hill to the crossroads with traffic lights.  Cross over go past all the estate agents and it is on the left up a bit of a drive.  It is known as crown buildings winchester road tel no 01256 726400.  Maybe try and google it or look on multimap if my directions make no sense!

lol- i read "the nose thing" and sat here thinking whats she on about, has she told me something that i've not remembered then read your noext post.

i thought you had been at sainsburys long enough to not need to go to the job centre??????

talking of the job centre do you know where it is? i need to go get the forms as i have to apply thru them, you can print them off on line but there are 20 pages and my printer would not cope with it

lol at the 'Dan' incident!  This happened to a friend of mine, her little boy was blown over by a gust of wind into the metal pedal of a bike!  She is a very calm person but she said she just lost it!  She ran into a nearby sports centre screaming for a first aider!  She said an ambulance actually came out but decided not to stitch it as it would have meant knocking him out and just put steri strips on it and he has a scar!  She says thank god he is a boy.

Cant believe I can go on maternity leave in 10wks!  Am thinking of staying on until xmas though cant decide.  Must get my MAT B1 from midwife when I see her next week.  I am bound to forget and need to get it sent to the job centre as soon as poss because they took ages to get my friends MA sorted.

Have had all the info through from the Doula that lives in Kempshott so we are meeting up in a couple of weeks, will have seen the consultant and the midwife again so I can go through the option of homebirth with her.  Talked to Nick about a home birth last night.  He still isnt happy but I outlined why I want to book one, ie: midwife comes out to you and can stay at home longer etc.  He did point out that my last two labours have hardly gone smooth so I pointed out back to him that both times they were smooth at home but went wrong in hospital.  I also stated I am not supid and of course ?I will go in if I want to or if needed.  I really need to avoid an epidural at all costs with my bad back and it not working.  The only prob he really has is the nose thing and if I dare to go into labour during the super bowl and him missing it!  Typical man!

i'm not too worried as i have asked my old manager to be referee not the current one as i was told they would refuse to give me one. its just the content really, i know she will do me well but just worried about dates as she left last christmas and i left in april. i can't remember what i wrote on my application form.

oh well we'll soon see, not long til i can legally go on maternity leave anyway if the worse comes to the worse.

we're going to take matthew to this scan, we may change our minds nearer the time as he is not great at sitting still but we kind of think it may help, but on the other hand we maybe delusional.

absolutely knackered today, matthew decided not to have a sleep and trust me i usually have one too.

we had a "dan" type accident yesterday, oh my god i was a crap mum in a blind panic. 2 of my friends came over (steve at work) and matthew was showing off shaking his head and running, the little sod ran straight into the window sill and made a cm gash across his eyebrow, 1 of my friends started ringing 999, the other rang her mum and i'm trying really hard to be the calm confident mummy by applying pressure with kitchen roll, thankfully it did eventually stop bleeding so didn't require the hospital but boy was i scared. i was saying to a friend today as soon as you have kids you are expected to suddenly be a fountain off knowledge on all things children and know exactly what to do in an emergency  well that has taught me that i have NO IDEA!!!!!! ok so i know the bare basics but not the "don't panic" part.

he's ok though in fact minutes later he was climbing all over my friend.

well he's in the bath so i'd better go and supervise (computer in guest room so not far)

To be honest dont worry to much about the reference.  They will be unable to write a bad one only a 'non comment' and it will prob be more along the lines of yes they worked here etc.  Nick left a job in Brighton and the owner then refused to pay him and accused him (falsly) of stealing, we had the date for the tribunal through before she paid out.  When he applyed for amex he just said she cant give me a reference as I am taking her to court!

Yes my scan is on thursday afternoon, hopefully everything will be ok.  Think I will be taking Pippa mainly because of the time it is, I have told her she has to be quiet and that they will be checking the baby is well.

    good evening,

well i'm a bit worried, my friend called me to say she had received a letter from m+p for a reference which means my sort of old boss will have got one too.

its a very long story which i will go into when i see you next but i didn't leave tylney of my own accord, and obviously i couldn't tell m+p that so they think i was having a break and i used my old boss who left last xmas as a referee and she thought the whole thing was a sham and said that the existing boss didn't know me well enough to do a reference.

my biggest worry is i cannot remember what i wrote on the application form regarding her dates and what if they have asked her for dates and she writes something different aaarrrggghhhh just when i was settled again.

my friend and i watched atonement this evening, i can't decide whether to call it a pile of crap or just plain confusing.

haven't you got your scan on thursday? what time is it? you MUST let me know how it goes

You are so right about Dan, I think he seems older because he never shuts up lol!  Takes after his two grandmas!

Pippa is settling well she is staying to lunch for the rest of the week and then goes full time on mon.

Congrats on Steve feeling the baby move.  To be honest I havent felt a lot of movement.  The occasional flutter but nothing like a kick!  Am hoping I have another anterior placenta and nothing is wrong.  Oh well def getting bigger I have balooned over the past week, def looking pg and not fat.  Had to dray out my pregnancy swimming cossie today as took Dan.  He was a lot better this weekand was properly swimming, just got to get the direction thing going now!

oh dear figured it may not have stopped raining!!!!!!

your boy is a nightmare, he's very cute though and seems a lot older than matthew.

well nothing much happening this end, back to swimming today, just looked like an elephant in my swimming cozzie, i tihnk to other people it was a case of is she isn't she cause no one said anything and i can't see i could get that fat in 6 or so weeks of being off.

i'm glad pippa got on well at school how was she today?

steve felt baby move today which was lovely and matthew kissed my belly and tried to show baby a card that we got in the post by pressing it on my tummy (so cute)

ok so it rained, and then rained, and then rained some more!  Had a good time anyway.  The campsite was behind a pub so we sat in there for the evening and had dinner.  It was good catching up with friends I havent seen for a while as well.

Well it was Pippas first day at school and it should have been a quite one for me with Dan back at playgroup as well.  BUT Dan decided to wake us up by saying he had stuck some lego in his ear so he didnt go to playgroup took him to the docs to be checked instead.  Needless to say he hadnt!  So had to postpone taking the rabbit to the vets to get his claws clipped and rushed around like a loon when should have been an easy morn!

Pippa cryed all the way to school and then stopped when we went in and then went and sat down as good as gold!  She didnt even notice I had gone!  She was really happy when I picked her up but wont say what she did (this is typical she always did it at playgroup) but fell over on the way home and scraped her knee and has been awful since.  Hopefully she will calm down for the rest of the day.

Anyway better go and do some of the things i was hoping to get done this morn!

My friend has done the sun holidays a lot.  We also went to a caravan this year, it was really nice, very posh.  Depends on the weather but it is better than camping, at least you stay dry!

I have been a churchgoer in the past, havent been since we moved back though, as my old church was the one in Oakley and dont like what has gone on there and I dont really like the vicar at my mums church.  Been meaning to go to either all saints or st michaels in town but am so tired all the time at the mo that cant drag myself out of bed!  Must sort myself out though before I have the baby as will need to organise a christening at some point and really want to be a member of a church again before that.

Am off to town today to get Dans haircut and go swimming.  I need to get a decent photo of the kids for a charity calender that my sis is doing.  She is a member on another forum and they did one last year in support of one of the mums on there, I joined recently snd she is doing it again so my kids get to be on there this year!  But Dan's hair is stupidly long so we are off to trilbys!
