im bleeding again,just a tiny amount,not enough for a pad - had bleeding 7,9,12,14 weeks - seems to be every 2-3 wks very strange,my periods have always been like clockwork so dont think its related to that,very nerve racking when its happens all the same.im also told its just one of those things,could get better or could stay with me right thru the preg.My daughter,5 now,was a great preg,so every1s thinkin this could be an awkward boy!!!lol...Ive got to make an app nx wk anyway so im not goin to bother callin mw cos shell just tell me not to worry so a wasted call i feel.Ive got a doppler in the post,which my friend has posted me to borrow whilst im preg.Hopefully itll be here 2moz which will hopefully put my mind at rest!!!Im sure everythings fine and worried over nothing but still impossible not to worry.x

It's weird you say that because mine seems to be the same. Everything clear until it happens and then it is out of the blue, like a very mini period (only a few specks, not enough for a pad even).

I had probs before I conceived as well with bleeding between my periods so I wonder if it is linked.

I had a scan at 12 weeks as well which we paid for because we wanted to be sure things were ok, and tell family. When they did that, the women said they could see blood near my cervix (not to me, but to each other) so it sounds like it was sat there then, the week before!

Hopefully will get some answers tomorrow, thanks for replying though.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I never did get a definate answer with my bleeding - midwife said it could be hormonal as it seemed to every 4 weeks - but apart from that they didn't seem to have a clue and just put it down to 'one of those things'!

Hello ladies, I am new to this forum but wanted to stop and say hello. I am going through a similar kind of thing, and you think you're the only one in the world it's happening to when it does.

I've had a couple of bleeds, one bright red, but not a lot - but enough to freak me out. Scan showed similar thing - no blood near baby, heartbeat and movement so I was just sent away. Got my booking in scan this week, at 15 weeks, so hopefully everything will be ok. Would love to know what's causing it. Anyone get a definitive answer about what it might be? Seems to be sporadic, every few weeks  - almost in line with my cycle!

I have been going through exactly the same, early hours of the morning going to the loo and finding blood and then a few hours later nothing again. When i went to EPU last week they looked at my cervix and said all was fine and the bleeding definalty isnt coming from around the baby.

Got my MW next Friday and hope to ehar the HB but all was fine on the scan last Monday.

Midwife has just been, she said brown blood is ok they are just worried about bright ed blood. She said that she would try and listen for the heartbeat but it might be a bit early, she couldn't find it at first but then there it was it was great. And as she came later dh was there to hear it too.

Just rang and her phone is off so I left a message lets hope she gets back to me.

Thanks, I will give her a ring then, but now I am thinking that she said if she can't make it today she will come on Sat but I could always just say that I am just ringing to see if she is definaltly coming on Sat, grr I hate confrontation, I am soft lol

If she was supposed to be at urs this morning i would ring her it is now 1pm nearly, if she hasnt made any contact with you then she is out of order really.

I am majorly peed off now the midwife said she would be hear in the morning, well no she isn't so now what do I do, do I just wait or try contact her ?

it must be terrible going through that. i could not think of anythin worse.i no people say oh but you can bleed through your pregnancy and everythin is fine but it dont seem right you both must be so scared everytime you go to the loo(serial knicker checkers )like someone said below ask midwife to check hb.i really hope it all stops soonfor you and you can get on and enjoy your pregnancys. xxlisaxx

hi i seem to be getting spotting and brown discharge every 4 weeks - had bleeds at 5 weeks, 9 weeks and 13 weeks - had scans each time and my midwife said not to worry unless it is really heavy, with clots and cramping - i know it's easier said than done but try not to worry and mention it to your midwife - i think i am also going to be one of the ones where it happens throughout the pregnancy xx

I had a bleed for 5 weeks started off bright red and very heavy! There was no reason for the bleed and they found it just under babys sac. Baby is fine though im 14+4 today so not all bleeding is bad. As i said mine was bright red which worried me but baby is fine xxx

darling i know its easier said than done but im 13+6 and exact same things happened to me.At 7wks,9,12, then sunday just gone.Its really dark brown when i wipe,then cpl spots thats it,but when i wipe its quite a lot on the tissue.Its always early hours or when i wake up and scares the life out of me.Each time ive had a scan and everythings fine.On sunday they just listened for a hb and found it and said they think im one of the unlucky ones that gets it all the way thru.Apparently it could be theplacenta being low,and rubbing on the cervix,which makes blood vessels from placenta burst.Hopefully itll ease off the more pregnant i get cos it terrifies the life out of me.Partner and i have only slept together once in 6 wks cos we were told wait 2 weeks every time it happens,last time we did the deed i had LOADS of brown blood,and so it freaked us both out.Its put us off havin any other children after this 1,the worry kills me,esp now im as far gone as i am,once ur past that 13 wk mark u feel hopeful ull have a take home baby at the end of it.Hopefully the mw will check for a hb,if she doesnt then ask her to.Take acre hun,emma x

Thanks Dinky, would you belive I was at the EPU last week having a scan and the week before that in A&E after having a massive bleed, and no bleed since 2 weeks on Tuesday then bam it's back.

Fingers crossed that I might be able to have another scan.

try not to worry hun if its clear now surely that is a good sign, see if your midwife can get you in for a reassurance scan just to be on the safe side.

Well went to the toilet last night about 10.30pm went to the loo and when I wiped there seemed to be a brown tinge on the tissue, so then worried head kicked in and then I went back up 15 minutes later and when I wiped there was some blood, it was brown but still blood. I am so scared. Put a pad on and went to bed it was a restless night to say the least. Went to the toilet a few times in the night and there was sometimes nothing and then sometimes the brown tinge.

The midwife is supposed to be coming today for a home visit today so I will mention it to her today but I am scared again, a week of nothing and then here we go again. But am I thinking brown blood is a good thing IYKWIM ?
Just went to the loo before and there is nothing just lots of clear cm I am so confused.
