I understand you being worried,  I probably would be too but it's encouraging that you were only 10 away from the borderline x

Some areas don't do the nuchal scan hun - my area doesn't - so all I have to go off are the bloods xx

They didn't mention the nuchal fold on my 12 wk scan, I should have asked but I didn't think to. Whatever happens I will love it all the same I would never terminate. I feel deep down it will be OK and family have been very reasureing. Just always got that 'what if' thought now and will have for the next 4 weeks until my scan on 29th. Will have to try to get on as normal and see whet they say.

    Thanks ladies xx

    Fingers crossed for you.

Don't know that I would have had the amnio either - too risky in my opinion.

    Hi Amy

I am sorry to hear about your result. I hope that things turn out to be ok for you and your baby. I am still waiting for my results at the moment and I know how worried you must be.

    Take care

    Donna.

Hi, got my results last week (1:29922) but I was the same as you regarding the amnio - really did not want to have it done so was just going to wait for the 20 week scan - plus as your odds are at the low end the risk of miscarriage would be greater I think - you still have a very small chance of the baby having DS but I understand it must be a worry

Good luck with your 20 week scan - sometimes I think these bloods are a bit of a waste of time what with all the false positives etc - one of my friends had a risk of 1 in 10 and the baby was fine - hope it all goes well for you xx

im sure baby will be fine its only a guideline. i had test done end of july and still not received my results. like u though i wouldnt have the amnio if high risk. im only 24 aswell so wonder what affects the results. if the nuchal measurements were ok then i wouldnt worry im sure u will have a healthy baby xxx

Told me I am high risk but at the bottom end. The borderline of low risk is 1:250 I came back as 1:240 which puts me at high risk. I'm very shocked and know that I could be one of the 239 women to have a heatlhy baby, but i really thought I would be low risk as i'm only 24 and neither me or DH have any history of it in our family.

Not having amnio as I'm not putting baby at risk, will have to wait 4 weeks for my 20 week scan where they can check the heart etc.

The result could be worse I am only 10 women less then borderline. MW said if I was 1:260 they wouldn't have rang.

    Anyone else had thier results?

Cheers Amy 17 wks today xx
