I saw her at approx. 8 weeks then I had a scan at 12 weeks with a consultant appointment and then I was due to see her at 18 weeks...

She only works at the surgery on a Wednesday morning, I'm going to ring her on Wednesday morning and see if I can talk to her about waiting so long for an appointment - if she can squeeze me in, it's only 10 mins from where I work so I could go at short notice...
Thanks ladies

Have you not seen your mw since your booking appt? If no then yes I think that is quite a long time to wait! I saw mine for my booking then at 16 weeks. She told me she wants to see me again at 25 weeks then when I spoke to a mw after my scan at the hospital I was told to ignore what my community mw said and was told as it's my 2nd I don't need to see her till 28 weeks!!! I think this is ridiculous, 2nd baby or not i'm not waiting 12 weeks between appts so i'm booking an appt at 25 weeks anyway! It p***es me off when they keep trying to make cutbacks - I mean it's not like you get to see the midwives much anyway!
Sorry that wasn't meant to turn into a rant! Anyway, I say if you can hun try and get one before x

Hi hun. I'd say its too long. I wouldnt be happy waiting that long, but if you are then thats fine. Your gp or midwife or gp shouldnt keep you waiting that long for an appointment.

I was booked to see the mw at 18 weeks but had to change the appointment to the week after because of training, now I've had a letter from the GP saying she can't see me then and she's rearranged it for the week after which I can't attend again! I've got another appointment but I'm going to be 22 weeks when I see her (!)
Do you think this is too late for a second appointment??
