I felt the same with my last pg. I could not understand why anyone would want to know. This time I'm finding out. There are a number or reasons I suppose. I've become more impatient in my old age (dd is only 2 but I feel 100 years older!). I want to know whether to get her stuff out and washed or given away/sold (although not bothered about buying anything). Also, I had PND with dd and I guess I just want to try and make EVERYTHING as different as possible. As it is my pg is totally different so another reason is that I'm so convinced it's a boy I need to have some time to get my head around it if it's another girl (although I originally wanted 2 girls, I've just got myself convinced!). It made me realise how personal this all is. My dad is not happy I'm finding out and "does not want to know". I would like to keep it to just us anyway but not sure how that will work out.

I agree though, I was also surprised how many people are finding out and was the last time too.

I envy all of you that have the patience to wait until the stalk actually visits before finding out... I just have noooo patience!

The 20 extra weeks of not knowing would drive me crazy, I have found out the sex with all four of mine.

I am pleased we are all different lol! Some of us know the sex due to medical reason and i know there are a couple and i know as my consulatnt wanted to know and still not 100% on pink.. if it is we know this pregnanyc jus became a lot easier if its a boy then its hardrer. Also after a mmc last year a late mc this year (easter sunday at 17+1 ) i m finding  it very hard to bond with this baby as it hasnt sunk in really but i am also worried sick till i reach viability. Its nice to know what yellow bumps are i agree and the guessing is fun i think each to there own and its nice what ever we decide! My dd was a yellow till a day befor i had her as i had to have a scan as i had pre-eclapmsia and her legs were open!! Hugs Michelle 21+6

i think people are missing the point surely the important thing is that we all finding out that our babies are healthy?

does it really matter who chooses to find out an who doesnt? its us that has to live with the desicion of finding out, so wat does it matter?

I had no interest in finding out when I was PG with my DD, I couldn't understand why people wanted to either, I had a c-section and when they told me she was a girl and bought her round for me to see, it was the happiest moment of my life

But as I've had 3 MC's since having her and the feel like this PG hasn't sunk in yet, I think finding out the sex will make the pregnancy seem more real and allow me to bond with the baby. 19+5 x

I think the only reason i found out was because i had waited soooo long to fall pregnant,  I couldnt wait anymore i mean i liked the idea of it, but my attitude has very much become i want it all and i want it now lol.  But really as far as things like clothes shopping goes i prefer to go for lemons and creams, i'm not really big on ALL blue our ALL pink but i is nice to get a few chose item.

Mines a BLUE bump had my scan today.  Any a very cheecky one i might add, syicking his toung out at his mummy and daddy
