    Good morning ladies!

Well I'm feeling much better today, it's amazing what a new day can do Even though...I went to the drs this morning and have finally got my swab results back and I have an infection Doc has given me antibiotics which she said are ok to take when pg but I feel a little uneasy about it. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on that??

Angela, hope you get your glasses sorted hun, they are an expensive business hey! What's everyone else up to today? Weather is a bit iffy here today but we're going for a walk anyway...I'm so sick of these 4 walls!

    Morning all

Helen - Lucky you getting the cooking done.  I'm still having to cook dinner for dh & ds even if I'm not eating it!  Then again dh looks after Christopher when he gets in from work so can't complain.  Just difficult knowing what to cook when I don't fancy eating it myself!  I hardly ate a vegetable in my last pregnancy as lived on Pizza just about and Christopher didn't take any harm for it, lol.

I'm nervous about my scan too.  Felt better since about 8 weeks apart from sore (.)(.) now and again.  Will just be pleased to know one way or the other whether everythings ok or not.

Pleased Cole was ok.  As for being weepy, I cried every day until friday for about 2 weeks.  Everything set me off.  Christopher winding me up and me shouting at him for no real reason made me feel like an awful mother.

Kerriann, I'm sure you'll get used to being back at work & once your energy picks up again you'll feel better.  I wouldn't worry too much about symptoms (I know I'm a fine one to talk) as my midwife said it wasn't a problem when I said I hadn't felt as bad as last time.

Teardrop, sorry you feel so ill.  Hopefully it will pass soon

Well I'm having to go up town again today as the leg fell off my glasses last night - AGAIN!!!  Sick of having them fixed but don't want to buy a new pair as so bloody expensive!

Well I ended up taking Cole to the doctors and they said he is ok, they can't say what the rash is but can say it's nothing serious like measles or meningitis. Thinking it was probably heat rash I felt much happier.

Then tonight, I was giving him his last bottle and he kept spitting it out ( very unlike Cole) so I tasted it to see what was wrong and it tasted of washing up liquid So I get another bottle out and suck the teat and it tastes the same! Tried rinsing it in boiling water but no joy. So I've tested everything he drinks out of and they all tasted strong of washing up liquid......don't know if it's cos it was from poundland or what?? It is fairy but it has been making my hands unusually dry too.

So anyway, now I'm wondering if that's where the rash has come from too and I just feel like a totally poop mummy today I haven't felt weepy in this pregnancy until today and I just want to sit and cry But I can't even bloody do that

Sorry.....gone a bit mad with the (not s) smiley faces

    Hi ladies,

I don't get a minute to myself now when I get home from work! I was in bed for 8.30pm last night just couldn't keep my eyes open ay longer lol

Helen hope you start to feel better about your house soon, maybe when your dp Gym is cleared out & you make a nursery you might feel a bit better, I know I did when we the sale of our house fell through we just decorated the house instead & now just work with what we have got & try for a bigger house in a few years time. How is Cole feeling now?

Angela hope you can start eating better soon ,I am always eating! my sickness hasn't been so bad the last few days but worry if symptoms are easing then does it mean something bad?

Teardrop good to hear from you again, sorry you are feeling sick too hopefully it will ease for you soon & you can start enjoying your pregnancy.

    xx

Evening all. Angela I'm with you on the housework thing......lucky for me my dp does all the cooking but he makes twice the mess I would so my house is looking pretty damn shabby atm.

Teardrop nice to hear from you, sorry you are still feeling sicky I am starting to feel much better now. I can cope with the smell of fod etc, can still only eat what I fancy though. My bean will wonder what on earth's going on when I finally get around to eating a vegetable! lol! Yes it is my scan on friday at 11.30am. I am soooo excited, and a little nervous to see that everything is ok. How abut you? I'm sorry if you've already had one I have forgotten who's who and what's what cos I have total baby brain already

    hello Ladies

It's been a while   I'm soooo sick still!!!  I HATE IT!

How are you all anyway?!  Kerriann good to see your back and congrats on the job I work in the evenings 5-9 so Izzy goes to my mum's it's so much nicer knowing they are with someone you trust...

I'm with all you on a small house it feels so tiny and at the moment I can barely bring myself to cook food so the cleaning and washing have gone out of the window, so it's just a mess all the time!

Helen it's your scan soon isn't it?!  or have you had it?!

I knew there was something I needed to do - the washing!  Thanks Helen for the reminder, lol.

Not that Christopher would mind being naked. dh went in to tuck him in last night and he'd taken his pyjama bottoms & nappy off and was half out of his top, lol.

I'm trying to decide what to make for tea again   Will be pleased when I fancy proper food again.  Wouldn't care but I've already put about 6 lbs on and I'm hardly eating   Mind you I was the same with Christopher so shouldn't expect any different really.

Lol Angela, that's what will happen with our junk. We have an attic too which we've never been in but I'm thinking now might be the time

Well at least the sun has come out now and I have some washing on the line.....all Coles clothes though.....need some more good weathr or me and dp will end up walking round naked!! That will scare the neighbours!! pmsl!

All our junk ended up everywhere else!  Most of it in the loft which we'd boarded out when we moved in & made the hatch bigger as the only person who could fit through the tiny hole was dh, lol.  I couldn't get my shoulders through it!  The bookcase is now in our room along with a bureau/cupboard which I keep all sorts of stuff in.  All the CD's/DVD's are in the living room.  It's fine as long as we keep it organised.

good morning ladies, how's evryone today?

well i've been on the phone half the morning about houses but it's not looking good so it looks like ryans gym is going bye bye!! lol!

am feeling very fed up today as my house is a s***hole....i'm having to face the fact that i'll be stuck in this s***hole for a lot longer. and to top it all off, cole has a rash and a high temp he seems ok in himself and has eaten his breakfast so not panicking yet. just going to give him his lunch and see how that goes. have got him naked too in case it's a heat rash but it might be a trip to the doctors this afternoon

kerriann, sounds like it wasn't too bad being back at work. bet you missed sophie like crazy at least she was with your mum and not strangers.

angela my other bedroom (ryan's gym) is decorated how you described your room so won't have to decorate at least.....just have to find somewhere for all the junk! lol!

    Hi ladies,

Wel tghats the first day of work out of the way & it wasn't as bad as I thought! I cried a bit when Sophie went to my mums this morning but she had a great day & missed her loads. Angela I'm the same as you with the house situation but you work round with what you have got. Helen hope you get the house you are after,do you have a 2 bedroom at the minute as well?

    Hope you are all well.

    I'm fine thanks Helen.

Christophers room is just done in a green paper with flowery border.  Was the spare room/dumping ground before we had him and we didn't bother redecorating, thought we'd wait til he was older.  Still not sure how I'm going to fit another cotbed and a chest of drawers in there though!  Think the computer desk will have to be dismantled as we don't use it now and it takes up loads of space.  If we have another boy they can have bunkbeds when they're older.  If we have a girl then we'll have to move in the future at some point as it's only a 2 bedroom house.

    Morning ladies,

Nik I think beatrix potter is a lovely theme for a nursery. It's a good learning tool for your baby too as the pictures are quite detailed and I read that, that helps your baby learn? Anyway, I'd love to decorate a nursery for Cole, he is coming up 13 months and is still in with us! The room that was supposed to be his is my dps gym and there's no where else to put stuff. Think we'll have to wait til we get a bigger house! So that will be fun when this baby comes and all 4 of us are in the same room and everyone gets woken up every feed time!! Arrggg!

Have got my eye on a place though.....I'm hoping to move before I get too pregnant to help!!

Anyhoo, where is everyone else?? Angela, teardrop etc....you all ok?

    Hi Nik,

I don't blame you for having to go back to work after 6 mths thats a hefty mortgage you have! & a very demanding job you deserve a medal!

I keep getting trapped wind it is so painful! anyone else like this?

As Sophie is still a baby her nursery is still quite new & has only been it herself nearly 2 months so the new baby will have to share a room with her at about 6 mths. It is neutral with teddy's wash day theme from mothercare so if we have a boy it wont matter about the colour.

I hope your son gets the results he wants & you enjoy your holiday. Madrid sounds lovely. Hopefully your sickness will have eased off by then & you can enjoy eating again.

    xx

    Hi Helen, Kerriann

I'm so pleased the baby's ok Kerriann, I've been thinking about you over the last few days wondering if we'd have bad news. What a relief!

I just thought I'd pop back and say hi before I go off. I'm not leaving until Tuesday - we're going to Madrid.

I have just been reading what you have been saying about work. I work as a housing officer at the moment, which is quite full on as I manage inner London council flats with plenty of anti-social behaviour and home visits galore!! What am I gonna do at 8 months?

Well i'll be going back full time and leaving babs with a childminder at 6 months as the maternity pay stops then and I need every penny of my salary. The idea so upsets me though. My partner earns around the same as me but we bought a house last year and the mortgage is over £1000 a month. It's all a bit scary. That is more scary than labour for me...

Helen you are soooo lucky you can eat curry. I'm dying to eat a proper meal and keep it down. Today I decided to treat myself to a pizza with pepperoni and spinach and boy was that a huge mistake - violent sickness followed and that leaves me with headache and starvation...

Anyway enough griping about myself. We are all in the same boat. A good thing is that I'm going with my son to a local college for a interview for his A levels tomorrow. I can't wait until he gets his GCSE results next week, well we'll be away so we'll have to wait until the end of the month.

I was just thinking about nursery colours today. I know it's unoriginal but I love the whole Beatrix Potter theme. What about you, any ideas. What are you all doing are you having a nursery straight away?

    Well bye for now xx

    Niki

An evening job would be ideal doesn't matter what you do as long as your happy doing it. I'm a receptionist in a head office Bank so at least I will be sitting down for the most part lol I'm sure after 1 day working it will be like I never left!

Well I never had any afterpains after having Cole? Think I was very lucky with everything to do with Cole! Will be expecting the worst this time and anything else is a bonus! lol!

I know my mum would love to give up work and be my full time babysitter! lol! But she wouldn't be able to cope with 2 either. I was thinking about getting a weekend or evening job but by the time I get one now I'll be off having another baby! Will probably get one after this baby though. Will need the extra money as we plan to get married before we have anymore. I'd love to work in a pub a few nights a week, just for the social side of it really. That's what I used to do before, I  worked my way up to being a manager before realizing it was no place to be if I wanted a family. So I was working in call centres where the money and hours were better. What job do you do?

    Morning ladies

Helen I didnt mean to scare you! the afterpains are what you get after having your baby, your uterus contracting back to it's normal size. I was in agony after my section but they gave me really strong pain killers in the hospital & some to take home with me.

Your mum had a quick labour with you so hopefully you will be the same!

I suppose your right about having a bit of normality back being at work even tho it will only be for a few months lol my mum will be minding Sophie until she can't cope looking after her lol then she will be in nursery. I'm not really sure what  I'm going to do about work after I have this baby tho as my mum wouldn't be able to cope with 2, I'll just take each day as it comes I suppose.

I wont beable to sleep tonight thinking about work tomorrow but I was like that anyway every sunday night lol

    xx

    Good morning all!

My mum was telling me that she was only in labour with me for an hour and a half.....I was her second baby. Kerriann, what do you mean about afterpains?! I'm scared now!

Your working hours don't sound so bad. At least you will get a bit of normalness to your life! A bit of time just for you, albeit at work. I don't get much of that myself so..... And at least you will get a bit more used to leaving Sophie so you'll be toughened up ready for when she has to go to school. Will your mum be having her all the time when you're at work?

I suppose I'm not worried about labour as will prob end up with c-section again! but you usually have a quicker labour second time round it's just the after pains that are worse!

will be starting work @ 7.30 - 4pm from Monday to Wednesday & off Thur & Friday!

then the week after that we have a bank holiday so will just be working the Tue & Wed lol. I have just been sorting out some clothes, changing bag etc to leave at my mums house for when she is minding Sophie while I'm at work

    xx
