Hi all,
I'm just back from the hospital as started bleeding this afternoon & wanted to get checked over, 3 hours we were there altogether! Got a scan but couldn't really see very much the doc said that she could see the sac & just about made out a heartbeat but wants me to go back tomorrow morning @8.30 & get another scan & probably an internal examination. I really hope everything is ok, please send some baby glue for a sticky bean.

Im glad other people are showing im feeing so fat at the moment.

just had my first visit to the midwife today, she was really nice although didnt like her too much after she drained every bit of blood out of my arm. apparently my blood pressure was quite low, so she’s told me to get plenty of rest, so ive taken the aftenoon off work to lay in bed doing nothing, yay.
How is everyone today??

Received a voucher in the post for a free mum to be pack from Emmas Diary so might go for a walk and collect it from the Chemist. Don't know what's in it but like freebies, lol.

Aw, am so glad you got the all clear. Big sigh of relief
Ikwym, it really amuses me when people tell you not to do certain stuff......but then they won't help you! lol! Dp keeps telling me not to lift heavy stuff, but Cole is the heaviest thing I lift and he still never offers to bath him or carry him up to bed at night! He tells me I need to relax more and then gets annoyed when he hasn't got clean clothes for work. He knows how to use the washing machine!!!!!!
It's ok at the minute cos I can still manage to do most things. I'm much more tired than usual but it's managable atm. But I imagine by the time I'm 6 months+ I will need some help! Then what will he do?! lol! Bloody men! He's pretty good really though, hehe.

Helen, i've just got off the phone to my mum who has been having a go at me for not eating properly either!
I'm 3 stone overweight - I'm not going to fade away overnight for goodness sake, lol.
Good news is Docs just rang and my 2nd sample was all clear so don't need any antibiotics
Said to retest in a month just to make sure. -

Omg Angela, that is just like me. I don't fancy anything we have in, we've been getting takeaways and I've been buying ice lollies by the truck load! Hot food is just gross! Can't stand anything that's good for me, haven't touched any fruit or veg in weeks!! crisps and chocolate are good. I suppose cos I'm not eating much it's good that I'm eating the fatty stuff! Ryan cooked me chicken nuggets and chips last night. Well I ate the chips on a butty and then sat pushing the nuggets round my plate, feeling more and more sick til he finally said 'don't eat them if you don't want them'! So I threw them away and got a bar of chocolate!!

Family are driving me mad, everyone having a go because I'm not eating
Think next time I'll eat what they give me and make sure I'm facing them when it comes back up!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol! -

That made me feel better Helen, thanks x
I can only eat what I fancy too. Can't stand the thought of red meat, chiken, fish (apart from tinned tuna), pasta, mashed potato or any of the things I normally eat. Seem to be living on toast and sarnies at the minute. Haven't lost any weight though, lol. It's cost me a fortune this month in extra food cos don't fancy anything we've got in!

Good morning ladies!
Well my sickness seems to be fading again but can still only eat what I really fancy. Have been having all kinds of aches and pains still and my boobs are E...normous!!!! Anyway, I'm trying not to worry about stuff and it sounds like some of you are the same as me. Anyway I have this theory about second pregnancy. (sorry to those who are on your first as this will be no comfort!). When you have your first, you haven't really got a clue what things you need to worry about so you sail through and cos you're so excited cos it's your first you can't imagine anything could go wrong. Second time around.....you are all too aware of what can go wrong and surely after your first turned out so good there must be problems this time. And how come the pains are different and the other symptoms? So anyway, for those of us who plan on a 3rd.....I think by then we'll just think 'oh well anything goes' and be much more chilled about it! So that's my theory and that's what I'll keep telling myself until I get my scan and get told 'everything is fine'! Feel free to borrow it! lol!

Welcome NikWik

Had a fairly quiet weekend. Got the house cleaned and yesterday we went for lunch while up town as Christopher loves going to a cafe and sitting on a proper chair like us, bless him.
I'm trying to be positive today. Some days I'm fine and others I'm convinced there is something wrong. My sickness and sore (.)(.) have gone and I don't feel as tired. I know I should be grateful especially when you all feel so sick but it just worries me a bit even though mw said it was fine as symtoms didn;t go this soon with Christopher. Roll on 22nd and scan day and I find out one way or the other.

Evening,
nik....I don't think that the age gap is a bad thing at all. My mil has 4 kids.....oldest is 22 and youngest is 5 and she loves it. She also has one at 12 so it's like she's had 2/3 families which is great if (like me) you are a big family person. And I know I'll be more chilled out with second one even with barely an age gap. I think it's a bit of a shock that first time and then you know what's coming after that! lol!
I often think about how free I was before I had Cole but I was also often bored and wasting time and money on things that now sem stupid. Kids make it all worth while eh?! Sorry think I'm just repeating what you saod! lol! I'll stop babbling now!
I'm actually a bit bored now cos have relaxed all day and now feel like I've done nothing! lol! What's everyone else been up to?

Hi Yeates
Yes he's sooo exited and nervous too but still smoking, humph! He keeps telling everyone even though we decided to keep it secret until 12 weeks. Everyone except work knows now. Have you all told everyone yet?

Hi There Kerriann, Helen et al...
I have heard of loads of women who have lost weight in the first trimester. Try eating something bland and slow burning like a jacket potato. I’ve been living on them for weeks.
I have a definate bump too. My jeans don’t fit any more and neither do my bras!! I thought one didn’t start to show until 12-14 weeks. I think with the second the stomach muscles are less taught.
I know what you mean Helen about having a baby when my son is 17 and I’m just about to get my freedom back...but then children make life worth living really and as I’m older and wiser this time I think I’ll handle it a lot better. It should be fine but then I do somethims think - what am I doing - another 20 years of responsibility but hey then imagine the beautiful family Chrismases and holidays and laughs with the children...swings and roundabouts and besides it’s my partners first at 38...
Niki
