Hi all im 9 weeks today, been very sick but starting to feel a little better now. cant stop eating though so dreading getting weighed, ive already got quite a bump is this normal?

Thats great Helen! sorry your feeling so bad & not being able to eat I am the opposite If I feel sick I must eat to stop it & so afraid to weigh myself lol your sca date is my best mates birthday! I haven't got a date yet wish it would hurry up!

Kerriann, yes I've told absolutely everyone!! It was all so exciting and everyone is really happy for us! I've also got my scan date through for 22nd august....same date as angela's! How about you, have you any news of a scan yet?
Welcome nikwik, nice to meet you.....wow you have a 17 year old and you're going to do it all over again!! I have a 1 year old son so this is my second too. I have had quite bad nausea...not sickness, just nausea but it has stopped me eating so much that I've actually lost half a stone!! Don't really know if that's good or bad|?!? I am starting to get a little bump now though, even with the weight loss you can definately see the shape of a baby bump coming. I love my bump

Hello Ladies. I'm new to the forum. I a 9 + 4 and due on 10 March 09. This is my second. My first is nearly 17! I have been terribly sick from aorund week 6. Peaked at week 8-9 and has been a little bit better for the last 3 days, although I still can't eat what I like with impunity...How about you all?
I have my first ante-natal appt. at the hospital on Tuesday but no scan appt. yet, although I did have a scan at 6 weeks and everything was fine.
Has anyone thought of any names yet? I like Lenka for a girl (it's Czech from my mum's side) but my partner hates it. We both like Dexter for a boy. I want a girl, he wants a boy.
I am going to Madrid with the eldest next week Tuesday for a nice sunny break and some bonding time. I can't pin him down unless I take him out of the country - teenagers!! That's what you've got to look forward to all you firs t time mums...I hope the sickness has gone by then though as it's 35-37 degrees there!
Well that's all for now but I would like to share my pregnancy with you 'due in March' mums so I hope to hear from you soon.

I was in wales near Swansea & was sick a lot & slept a lot lol.

They say you're supposed to drink a pint of water an hour before.....but with me last time I'd not done a urine sample so I was drinking loads to get a full sample and it took ages! Then I thought cos I'd done the sample my bladder would be empty so drank loads more! lol! BIG MISTAKE! I probably had about 2 and a half pints of water bursting to get out of me!
Ryan is taking a few hours of work to go with me and so Cole will be coming too. It will be a family outing and although I know he doesn't understand, I can't wait to show Cole his little brother or sister
We'll be racing to see who can get their scan pic put on here first Angela! lol!

Yeah I drank too much water last time and my bladder was that full she couldn't see anything else, lol. Told me to "go have a bit of a wee". A bit of a wee - like how are you supposed to know how much? lolHow much do you need to drink beforehand? Anyone know? I know it says full bladder but how much do you need to drink to fil it? Don't fancy sitting there desperate for the loo again.
Don't know if dh will be with me though, may have to go on my own. Mum will be through to look after Christopher but dh may not be able to get out of work as the assistant manager is on holiday then so won't be able to leave anyone else in charge (dh is manager). Not too bothered though, he just gets worked up about it. -

Hey Angela your scan is on the same day as mine! Mine's at 11.30, what time is yours? I'll be 12+6 then, not looking forward to having a full bladder though......last time I went a bit ot with the water drinking and my appointment was half an hour late! As soon as scan was over I hopped off bed and ran to the nearest loo! lol! That was when I found out Cole was a boy though so it was all worth it

I was told to ring the docs next week to see if got results back. I'm not in pain or anything though which is good. Just hope I don't need antibiotics as I haven't got a maternity exempt card yet so would have 2 pay. Just will bug me cos I shouldn't have 2!I've got my scan date in the post this morning
Friday 22nd August which is early as will only be 10+4 but better than having to wait til 14 weeks or something. Think I was about 12+2 with Christopher. My mum will be pleased cos at least then she can tell people. It's driving her mad having to keep quiet more than me, lol. Also means if everything ok I won't have to hide my belly anymore, yay! lol. -

Got your message Angela, I am fine just very busy atm but I guess that's a good thing. So did you find out if you have a uti? I have to take a swab in to docs cos I have very smelly yellow discharge
sorry .....tmi! Teardrop I'm afraid I can't help you cos I've no idea what's even meant to happen at a baby shower?! I could only tell you about the ones I've seen on american tv shows, lol!
So who's the first person to have their scan then? Can't wait to have a look at all the pics

That sux about maybe having UTI Angela, but at least they found it early and can treat it easy enough!
I got my scan date through Finally!!!! YAY it's on 8th September, but at 4:30
! Time is gonna fly by tho I think. Izzy is starting pre-school on 4th september so I am so nervous about getting stuff ready and leaving her with strangers for the first time, and I'm also planning my friends baby shower for September too and I have LOADS to do for that as I have done zilch... So if anybody has and ideas would be much appreciated!!
I made her a nappy cake, but that is where my creative streak stops

The docs had rang yesterday to say could I ring back about my urine sample. When I got the message was in a complete panic thinking something serious wrong. I rang back and spoke to her and she said there have been germs detected in my sample I gave so have to do another one. If still there might need antibiotics
Great, never had a UTI in my life. -

Have been feeling a bit sick again for a few days.....everytime I think it's stopped it comes back and bites me in the butt! lol! Weather is pants here again today so not really doing much, just got housework to do...yawn! Anyone else doing anything exciting?

Helen I can't believe you got your scan through boohoo thats 2 days after my booking in appt so I'm gonna have to wait ages for my scan!!
