That's clever, getting the same profile picture as me!!!
Welcome, I guess we might not be on here very often over the next few days/week. I think I am nearly ready for Christmas now. My hubby is having a right panic as I asked him to buy me some furtniture for my onsuite for Christmas and they have finally said that it is out of stock and I can't think of anything else I want. Still got to finish stitching Alfie's stocking so better go.
If I don't get on here before Thursday, hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas and we all get to eat twice as much as normal since we won't be having a good drink!

Elaine hope you had a good party I'm sure you looked glowing

I know what you mean about the whole sex thing, last pg I couldn't face it the whole way through and this time I was really going to try and make the effort so to speak, but we only managed it a couple of times before this pg happened and we've only had it the once since found out pg this time I do feel for dh put I really can't face it or any intimacy of any description, guess I'm lucky dh is understanding and can joke about it.
Chilblaines are still painful but I haven't got round to going to GP yet - I know I'm useless - but I found some cream mw gave me last pg when I had bad sores on my legs which is kinda working but they aren't healing don't know if they ever do?? I really should get to GP but with Christmas on its way and going back to work in a couple of weeks I know I won't get round to it.
Have work Christmas meal on Monday no idea what I'm going to wear I hadn't really thought about it guess I should lol!
Speak soon x

18/12/08 22:47
Hi girls, sorry I havent been on for a few days, things have been just so hectic. Beth...I darent ask my dp the question...the whole sex subject is a very touchy one at the moment. We had another tiff about it today...I do feel sorry for dp, but I just dont want to do it and hes suffering. Weve only done it a handful of times since I found out and not since his birthday which was over 2 months ago! I wish I was one of those women whos libido went crazy with pregnancy...so does dp probably! hehe. Im intrigued as to your answer though Beth

Tomorrow is my works Christmas do and I have an appointment to get my hair done in the afternoon. Im actually really looking forward to it, a chance to get all done up
I am determined to glow! I have a lovely dress that I bought for my brothers wedding last time I was pg. I hope it still fits, it is a maternity one, but I havent tried it on in 2 years and its at the dry cleaners until tomorrow morning! Yikes!Anyway, I better go...got some letters from the solicitors about the house we're buying and have to read through them. Hope everyone is well xxx

Hi Beth - how did the dress shopping go are you all sorted for the Christening?? Asked my dh about bedroom dressing up he gave me strange look and said no point answering as I won't let him anywhere near me and probably won't for at least another year - bit harsh of him! I was trying to think what I would want him to wear but can't picture him in anything that doesn't make me burst out laughing lol!
I think Evie finally cut her first tooth today it certainly feels like it but she won't let me look so I'm not 100% but still excited for her.
Iced my Christmas cake today and also nearly burnt my kitchen down!!!!!!!!!!!! They weren't related. I put some jacket potatoes in microwave to kick start them and went off to feed Evie, smelt a really weird smell so left Evie with her tea, was in two minds whether or not to becuase of choking, anyway kitchen was full of black smoke, jacket potatoes had got stuck and weren't going round and inside of microwave had melted on to the potatoes my house absolutely stinks, just glad I left Evie with her tea to check on smell. DH wasn't too impressed with me but hey ho.
Can't believe it's only a week until Christmas!

Baby Faith is a real little fighter, and in all our thoughts.
Had a good weekend been catching up with friends before I go back to work on 2nd Jan albeit only for a month but its making me distraught. I will ask my dh tonight, altho hope he doesn't take it as a green light I am so not interested at the mo the poor man is so hard done by.
I was sick again this morning hope its just a blip and not about to make a regular comeback. Wrapped my final christmas present today and sorted out the marzipan on cake at weekend so I'm almost ready.
Will get on here properly tomorrow am now off to bed absolutely shattered last few days and Evie seems to be teething pains today so could be in for a rough night.
Speak tomorrow x

Hope everybody is ok?

Good evening ladies, these men really don't know how good they have got it, they get a baby without having all the pains that come with it!
My morning sickness is well and truly back so only managed to clean the kitchen and living room today when I was hoping to get the whole house done. We've put up our Christmas tree now and the rest of the decorations are waiting for me to get my act together and clean the rest of the house!
It's Alfie's Christening tommorrow so I'm off now to try and make a lush maternity dress which a friend lent me slightly smaller as at the moment, it makes me look like I'm much bigger than I really am and I don't need any extra help in that department!!
I guess everybody is probably sitting in front of X-Factor so probably catch up with you on Monday. Hope you have a great weekend.
I started once upona time to ask a ramdon question so I've decided I might start it up again so here goes..... ask your partner, if they had to dress up for you in the bedroom what would they dress up as what they think would best float your boat? When you post your answers, I'll tell you what my hubby said, I was rolling on the floor!

Hi all! I dont seem to get on here that often and when i do i cant find this thread! So we all sound like we have different ailments of pg at the moment. Im suffering from really bad pain in my hip, sometimes when i stand on my leg i feel like my leg is gonna give way! Its worse at night so when the boys wake in the night its a nightmare. I read up on the internet and it said its PGS which is what they call everything to do with SPD now. Anyway it said on there that it often gets diagnosed as sciatica and sure as sure when i spoke to my mw she said sciatica!!!
Anyway who has had a mw appt recently? How did it go?
I had mine on wed. Everything ok! Blood pressure up a little, and i had the booking blood results (i had then late at 12wks) and im aneamic. So it i was low then the chances are they are even lower now, no wonder ive been knackered!!!
Wishing you all well xxx

Hope you all ok no more unpleasant pregnancy side effects arisen

Have plastered my feet in calamine lotion they look ridiculous doesn't seem to be doing much tho, think I may have to try nan's remedy over the weekend

Sorry didn't get on again yesterday my day went so downhill, didn't use food processor, gave up totally when Evie tea made me gag and I threw up all over kitchen floor - so sorry for tmi.
Decided to cook a roast for tea tonight - stupid idea I'm so bloody tired but I've started now so got to finish, been up since 4.45am this am just couldn't sleep and been out visiting nan today so didn't have a chance for afternoon nap either. Now going to check on my sprouts xxx

Hiya ladies - pregnancy is so glamourous isn't it, I now feel like I am constipated so don't know if this is where the sickness is coming from. Think I might take some laxatives when I get home and see if that does the trick, I'm scared of getting piles so I feel for you Emma who already has them :-(
I can't stand the needles of a real tree so will be putting up a fake one again, it's not the best one but will certainly do, considering my husband is saying that we might have to sell our house in the new year because he's job is looking so dodgy, I certainly don't want to be in a shoe box next year with a posh tree!
I didn't manage to eat anything yesterday after my sandwich at lunch time and I got terrible pains when I tried to eat cereal this morning. I supposed to be going for lunch today and don't know whether to order anything or jut have a drink??
How many weeks have we got left......
-
12/12/08 11:38
Hey Emma...forgot to say have you tried calamine lotion on your chilblains? It can help soothe them and a bit more pleasant than the alternative

-
12/12/08 11:35
Mmmm a chocolate biccie *drools* I'm so hungry today, I thought it would help if I had a big breakfast, so had beans on toast, but seems to have made me worse! lol. I need to get off my bum and get the house cleaned, its such a mess...especially with pine needles everywhere

Okay, Im off to do housework...when Ive done the lounge and bathroom I can eat something

Hi ladiis, yes it is Emma. I've had piles this time round have let them be as didn't want to go to Drs about it and they just come and go kind of just got used to the pain. My chilblaines are so painful (altho still haven't resorted to nan's suggestion!!!) I really should make Drs appoint.
You sound like you are def having the hardest time altho Beth don't envy your sickness coming back touch wood I'm ok at the mo but I was the same with Evie so keeping my fingers crossed.
We didnt bother with tree last year as Evie was due early Jan and I didn't want hassle of coming home with newborn baby and christmas tree and decorations to sort out and it wasn't the same so making up for it this year plus this year I will actually be able to eat my christmas dinner and more it was so uncomfortable last year I was huge my bump was huge only just fitted up the table! lol!!
I'm eating loads tried to be healthy but it's not as satisfying had the worst sandwich for lunch yesterday really fancied ham and pickle but didn't have any ham in fridge but I found a tin of ham in cupboard god knows where it came from but I thought perfect had some Sainsburys basic pickle in fridge well it was absolutely revolting won't be fancying ham in a hurry!!
Will try and get on again tonight I'm trying to find a user manual for my food processor online so thought I'd pop on - I've never actually used fp before and typically can't find half the attachments or instructions so will probably end up putting it back in cupboard and sit and have a cuppa and chocolate biscuit instead (it's my latest craving will soon like a chocolate digestive

Hey Beth, good to see you
Glad Rubbish Roger is off and you get to play on Bounty for a bit
Ive had such a stressful day! We're in the process of selling our flat and buying a house...could we have picked a worse time?! Anyway, I spent hours last night doing paperwork for the solicitors and had to get all that sent off today, along with all my christmas cards and parcels and stuff to my brother in Hong Kong. I decided to walk to the post office and it took me forever to get there due to the SPD..Im just fed up of sitting around though. On the way back I passed our local greengrocers and they had small Christmas trees for sale. DP and I had decided not to bother this year as we have a lovely fake Christmas tree that cost us a small fortune. Unfortunately its buried under a million other things in the shed (including a sofa!) that we stored for when people came to look round our flat and it would have been too much of a nightmare to get out. Anyway I picked up a little one on the way home, which actually isnt as little as i thought! I had to get dd to walk and put the tree in the buggy, lol. Christmas just isnt the same without a tree
Its a bit lopsided, but smells lovely.Im feeling much better now Im home and have got all that paperwork stuff done...its stresses me out no end!
Anyway, going to go get dinner started, see you both later xxx

Hello Elaine & Emma - finally get a chance to sit down and post a proper mail, Rubbish Roger is working from home today and it's lovely and quiet in the office. I've done no work what so ever yet today!! He He!
Really starting to struggle now, have constant back ache, baby keeps kicking towards my bum which really hurts and my morning sickness is back. I got my sickness back at week 25 with Alfie and it stayed till the end so I guess this is probably going to be the case again.
Sound like both of you are not finding pregnancy a walk in the park either, I'm really looking forward to having two weeks off at Christmas.
I'm nearly done on the present shopping and 3/4 of the way through the wrapping, just need to sort out the food.
How's everybody else doing?

Oh poor you with the FIL...Im quite lucky as I get on well with dps parents, they live quite a distance away though so dont really see them very much, although his mum gets the coach down every now and then just to baby sit! Bless her.
Yeouch to the chillblains...Ive never had them before, but they sound painful. I wonder if theres any other natural remedies you could use rather than your nans suggestion, lol. Its probably the ammonia that would help..I might have a google later. A bit too much info, but Ive developed piles
I didnt get them last time around. Ive just bought some cream, so Im hoping that will help. I wonder if they just go of their own accord? I really dont want to go to the drs about it.My hospital appt went okay. Im measuring too big for my dates so have a growth scan booked at 34 weeks. Ill prob be induced early if its still growing at the same rate. She also has done me an urgent referral for physio as I have sciatica and SPD....Oh the joys! haha.
I have been piling on the weight lately...partly because Im much less mobile than I was but mainly because Im beng a complete pig, lol. I just feel so hungry all the time and tend to be eating mainly comfort food. Ive tried to trn over a new leaf today and have done well...tomorrows going to be a healthy day too :D
Just wanted to check...is your name Emma? I had a quick look back through the thread, but just wanted to check before I started calling you it

Hi Elaine yes fil is always a huge pain in the a*$e, last night took biscuit tho he was supposed to come round at 6 to drop off xmas prezzies before heading back to ireland today so we put off having our tea and dh rushed home from work, 8pm they finally turn up after we sent nagging text that it was lo's bedtime and we hadn't had any tea etc. Won't need to see them now until bump arrives which is a blessing as they normally come over in feb.
Glad you had good time in France I was praying flights were ok back to Ireland!!!!
Had 24 week check up today, my mw was off sick but turned out her stand in was my mw from last time. Heartbeat all ok at 148 and I'm all ok. Only thing is I have terrible chilblaines mw couldn't recommend anything and pharmacist won't sell me anything because of pregnancy, told my nan and she said you have to wee on them its best cure - not sure I fancy trying it will let you know tho coz they are bloody painful. I have trouble with water samples if I don't remember to do it first thing it takes me quite a few trips to loo to 1/4 fill the bottle, mw said not to worry they only need a tiny amount to test - did your appointment go ok??
Had to go into work today with MATB1 form, got a frosty reception don't think they are exactly thrilled I'm only going back for 20 days before starting next lot of maternity leave.
Beth is all ok with you and bump??

Hi girls, I got back from France yesterday and am knackered. I was wondering if we would actually be able to get back at all as protesters had taken over the runway at Stanstead...I was half hoping I wouldnt as flights from my parents are only twice a week! Could have had an extended stay! haha. I had a lovely time though and it was so great to see everyone.
Sorry you had such a bad weekend evie (must check your proper name
) is the FIL always like that?Beth...does that mean you wont have computer access once youve gone on mat leave?
Im off to the hospital this morning. Ive got a consultant appt at 9:30...silly me thought it was monday today though and got up for work as usual at 5:15 when I could have actually laid in til 8! Ugh! Im sitting here trying desperately to down cups of tea...does anyone else ever have trouble giveing a sample? lol.
Anyway, best go...taxi will be here shortly. xxx

Just thought I might start a thread for anybody due on the 26th March.
I'm Beth, I'm 26 and live in South Wales. I have a little boy called Alfie who will be 1 this Friday. He was two weeks overdue and I had a home birth. I've have a lot more sickness this time so can't wait to feel better!
Has everybody had their scans yet?
