I had one with ds1 - he was lying back to back in labour.  The placenta moved upwards but was still at the front.  This time, I suspect the same again as they can't get lo HB very easily (mine is always in the way).  Find out in few weeks time for sure...

All I can say is get on all fours near the end to avoid back to back position if the placenta is still anterior at term as back to back labours can be harder.

With any luck though, the placenta will move as the pg progresses...

even if its lying low its nothing to be too concerned about at the moment it has lots of time to move out the way, my placenta was lye lowing all pregnancy and moved up somewhere between 34 and 37 weeks, unfortunately for me i still ended up with a section for other reasons!!

    ooh, I have one too!
I found out last week but only found out today what it is!!  I'm on number 3 as well
The mw said that it will just be harder to find the HB in the early weeks (have to admit I was slightly confused then as I'm 16+3 now so would class the early weeks out the way!!) and I wouldn't feel as many movements, but I'm feeling them loads!  Baby LOVES queens of the stone age  - hubby is pleased it will be another rock baby!!
I wouldn't worry about it to be honest, my mw said they would only be concerned if it was low lying.

I also have an anterior placenta. I had one with my dd but not with my ds. I was in hospital quite a lot being montired with my dd as I couldn't feel her moving, it didn't help that she was also small and back to back.

I also have with this PG, and with my second son. It does mean feeling movement later because it is cushioned a bit. But it didn't cause any problems in my previous PG, and I don't see why it should.

i also had this last year with my first, was fine. As below really, meant i couldn't feel as much, but believe me i could feel him moving!!! He was SOOOO lively that i was glad of the placenta padding, i think it made it more comfortable! He was uch a mover that at 30 weeks he kicked the placenta (we think) and split it, so i had a massive bleed and feared the worst and it was shocking, but after a dash to hospital, he was fine, totally unaffected, had no pain, and he was still 2 weeks late!!! this may have been nothing to do with it being at the front. But if you do bleed, remember not to panic!

It means it's at the front (posterior is at the back) I had an anterior one with my dd and it just meant I didn't feel quite as many movements as I did with ds when my placenta was at the back that time!!  That's all, it's not a problem

    xx
