Yes my DP's dog is literally attached to my hip from the minute I arrive at his house to the second I leave. On Saturday morning he even came running out of the house and jumped in the car I was getting in! I had to get out of the car before the dog would even budge! DP says he does not bother with him when I'm gone. Its quite cute actually (and makes me feel loved)!! {I}

I have 2 cats ones about 16 months old and the other is only 4-5 months and they are both boys, they follow me absolutly everywhere and will not leave me alone!! they even follow me to the loo! I think its really sweet bless them, i get woken up by the kitten in the middle of the night as he gets under my duvet to snuggle into me. If the bedroom door is shut they will both cry and run at the door to barge it open.. very strange lol..

my cat was the reason i 1st thought i was pg with ds, one day i was laying on the floor, and she came up to me, sniffed my tummy, tapped it with her paw, and then followed me around constantly being very protective!
my other cat always wanted to lay on my tummy, and purred when the baby kicked her, and agin now she is always trying to lay on my tummy, whereas when i am not pg, she keeps herself to herself!
cats are very clever, and they defo know when you are pg, they can sense the hormones! arent they fab!

Cats and dogs can definetly detect the hormone changes. My dog (male) used to think i was his girlfriend when i was due on my period or on it and he followed me everywhere literally attached to me he walked that close. He has been the same every day since i have been pregnant!! Barmy!!

I dont think thats daft! cats can sense hormone changes so they are probably picking up on this. my cats are 9 months old and normally go straight to my dh but since iv been pg they prefer to be near me.they fight to get on my lap and purr like crazy bless em (they are boys so think it must be a protective thing)

I swear my cat knows im pregnant!he was a kitten when i was pregnant with ds,so i was used to him snuggling into me ect. He used to do this thing where,whenever i lay down on couch,bed ect..he would come up and start almost digging at my hair and purring..eventually lying down on my hair,beside my head.this went on until we put a stop to it quite late on in the pregnancy...my ds is 2 now and the cat is all grown up,he goes outside now and is all independent.he is still affectionate but not as much...he wont even sleep on the same bed or couch as me..well until recently!the last 5 mornings in a row,ive been woken up with him purring about my head...this morning he did the whole digging in my hair thing and lay down beside my head.me and dp were awake and he suggested he wanted fed..so i came down,fed him..he ate the food..then came back up and lay in my hair again! Now i really do think this is strange..the fact its been more than 2 years since he did it...and im pregnant again!do you think hes wanting to look after me or am i giving off motherley vibes?or am i just losing my marbles?

Cats are renound for this. They can also smell the milk once you start producing so may linger around your boob area a lot! My dog certainly changes subtly when I'm pg and is more protective
