Nicky, I'm just like you phoning in sick, it makes me more ill thinking about doing it then it's fine after.
Mummy07 I feel down today too. Really tearful. Just one of those days I'm sure.
My friend just called to say her DHs mum has lung cancer. The outlook isn't great as she already has pneumonia and a collapsed lung. My friend doesn't get on with her at all and only speaks to her once every few years (she's never even met Ben who is now 2 and don't think she's that bothered). Anyway, bit rough for Ian all the same.

I hope my morning sickness goes then too, although I'm beginning to think I'll be one of those people who has it for nine months!!
Aww Nicky that's so cute! I don't have a doppler. I think it would make me stress more than usual if I couldn't find baby's heartbeat.
Hope everyone's having a nice day so far, w xx

Last night it was all quiet and I was listening to the heartbeat and when I said "helloooo baby" it kicked like crazy!! I kept doing it and every time I spoke in a sing song voice it went mad its soooo cute!! We took a recording and emailed it to my mum, she phoned up in tears!!! bless! xxx

Morning!
Well I think I'll be using all those tips for sleeping!! I had quite a good nights sleep until my cat woke me up to show me she caught a thrush. Pretty little thing! It just sat in my hands just looking around, ate a few breadcrumbs but wouldn't fly away, so I ended up getting dressed and driving to the vets!
On another note - my sickness only stopped 2 weeks ago when I was 17 weeks!!
Can't wait 8 days to my scan! I said I wasn't going to find out pink or blue but I'm getting soooooo tempted!

I feel completely pants today
Sick, still tired and just washed out. Can't be bothered with work. At least got MW appointment at 2 this afternoon.DD goes to bed like a dream but does insist on having a cup of milk to sleep with. She hardly ever drinks it but she likes to cuddle the cup! She only wakes normally if she looses Big Ab (her lamby that she called after the dog Amber only it didn't ever graduate from Ab. She has a big one and a small one).
Although I was on my own last night, I went to bed at 8 but woke up at 12.30 then had a restless night. The dogs tummy kept gurgling which made me think she needed out but she didn't so it was really annoying.
Better get back to it. Speak later, hope you all have a good day (beautiful weather here).

Yeah i've always been strict at night too, did the no cooing thing and it worked for me too - dd slept through from 12 weeks (and i thought that was good Nicky!!) I also made a distinction between day and night as dd only slept in her crib at night and downstairs in the day when she was a baby, i'll be doing the same with this one too, although i am having a furniture shuffle to make a corner that dd can't get to but will fit a moses basket in, have visions of her running staight into a moses basket and sending it flying baby and all, shes not the most graceful of movers ha ha ha.

squidglysmum- yes i know what you mean, when i wanted to get her off night feeds, i did give bobbi-mae a bottle of water thru the night to start with - she realised after few gulps it wasnt milk and after a couple of nights must have thought, 'oh im not waking up just for water'!! lol Gonna try the ashton an parsons powder and see how that goes for few nights.
An yes Nicky - , i do that with babies too, the no cooing etc with night feeds, altho it is sooo hard!! Worth it tho
These poor babies hehe!! Weird coz i do the olibas and medised 2, but normally when bobbi-teething as she gets stuffy!Im just having crumpets and coffee - made the coffee weak (coz i never normally drink it but have the past couple of weeks - just 1 cup in morning) and made it with hot semi-skimmed milk tho and its soo yummy! I have a thing for milk at the moment too, but not to worry coz its calcium and yummy hehe

Morning ladies! Thought I would become more of an active bounty user and join in the chat today. Sounds like most of you had a terrible night's sleep, poor you. I slept well but have woken up with morning sickness as usual. Does anyone else still have this? I thought it was meant to pass after week 12. I'm not actually being sick just have feelings of nausea, not liking it! wend xx

Mummy07 well done you!! I have to admit we have always been v strict at night and it really did pay dividends. Even when she was tiny and needed night feeds we made a very clear distinction between day andnight, she got her feed but it was very business like, no cooing or anything just bottle and back down. As a result she has always slept through the night (from 3 weeks old - don't hate me he he!! )and she HATES not being able to sleep as she loves her bed. If she's ill I hear lots of "Oh!!! oh!! No, no" while she tosses and turns and tries to get back to sleep she then calls out "pls can I have magic smell (olbas under pillow) and beddy-medi (medised) once I give her those she tells me to go away and put the light out!!!! She would sleep til 9am if I let her!!
Right I have a dilemma - I feel like crap today (sicky stomach, horrid cold, splitting headache) i'm supposed to be working overnight tonight, i'm sorely tempted to call in sick. I am probably physically capable of doing it, tho it would be a struggle, but I know I will feel ten times worse tomorrow if I do..... would you call in sick or soldier on? I just cant decide xxx
