Hi Nixi86, I also have multiple sclerosis and i am 30 + 3 with my first , i am 36yrs old, i work full time and have to be at work for 8am every morning until 5pm, i am struggling alot now very tired all the time as i have to be up at 6am, i work in the motor trade, i am due to leave on the 29th Feb when i am 36 weeks, although i do not feel like i will be able to stay that long, I dont want to start my Maternity leave too early as i only get 6 weeks full pay and 12 weeks half pay, do you think i will be able to ask my Midwife or Neurologist to sign me off before my maternity leave starts? I do not want any relapses, i have been struggling with a slightly numb leg since i was 5 weeks pregnant, i do not want this to get any worse. Can anyone help with advice?? thanks xxxx

Hello ladies!! Very jealous of the ones that have started maternity leave already!! I go on maternity leave 1st march but as iv got holiday to take I officially leave 1st february!
so only have a week and a bit left!
I'm taking just over a year off so I don't need to save any holiday as in January next year my holidays start again and as I plan to return march 2013 I'll still have all my holiday to take as well
but that's if I do decide to return back to work! Depending on finances ect as we really want to move I may go back part time! But got plenty of time to think about it! My little princess in due 9th march!!
this will be our first so we are so excited!! Everything has been bought so when on maternity leave there isn't much I need to do! Other than a big clean up throughout the house
hope you all ladies are relaxing as best you can

HHHeeelllooooo..... Aint been on here for ages!! Iv started my maternity leave with effect from 16th january, i know its quite a long gap till baby comes as due on 16th March (9weeks) but i work in a Dementia Care Home so quite heavy duty, and unfortunately i have Multiple Sclerosis (appologies if spelt wrong) so im better being at home to prevent bringin on a ’relapse’ in last stages... plus im tripley tired cos of this lol.... Gettin a bit nervous now, watched that One Born Every Minute for the 1st time Wednesday... and well... need i say more lol. Anyway happy maternity leave ans happy resting girls :-) xx

Lucky ladies! I am working till 38 weeks although had to stay at home today as I ended up lying on the floor of the MW's office after having some blood taken (normally I donate blood but am having some dizzy spells lately!) Wish I could finish sooner, but wanted to save time for after he's born. Enjoy! -
