Hey Hayley how are you getting on with Kai's reflux? i seem to have had a break through with Evie!!! she was prescribed Gaviscon last Friday and as of yesterday afternoon she has started to take 3 1/2 to 4oz feeds which she has never done before the limit has always been 2 1/2oz, she is also no longer fighting with me for these feeds, hope i haven't just jinxed myself by sharing this news with you and long may it last!!

Hi hayley. sophie is on gaviscon because she's always sick after feeds and the doc has put it down to gastric reflux. it works and it doesnt i find it works when she has a bottle of  ready made milk on a night but when she has a breast feed it doesnt. hth.

Thanks for that ,hope you get Kai sorted soon, Evie symptoms are chokin, hiccups,  feedin little and often, strong smelly nappies, archin of the back and pushin the teat out of her mouth constantly  when feedin, have changed her milk from SMA Gold to SMA LF  on the advice of hv but not made much of a difference so i'll keep you posted on the out come! let me know what happens tomorrow with Kai!!

right basically since he was born hes always bought up pretty much they whole feed after every single feed... so i was speakin to hv and she said try chnagin his milk...

so i changed from cow and gate to sma... but then i moved doctors.. and he was still the same, so i went to see the new doc, and explained it all to her, and she prescribed the gaviscon.. but told me she thought i was lyin basically ( she is a rubbish doctor and looked down on me cuz ma age)

so neway i started him on the gaviscon n keep him upright as much as i can.... but yet hes still exactly the same so am gonna go back hopefully tommorow n see sum1 else heres his symptoms:

sick after every feed ( most or all of what hes had)

    greeny runny poo

    really snuffly

    bad dry skin

screaming in pain ( this is the colic tho i think)

    think thats it ....

did you kno if ur really worried you can just take bubz baby hossie n they have to see you without an appointment, you will probs just have a long w8

Hi Hayley, my real name is Jo, i think she has silent reflux, been looking up all her symptoms on the net and they match so gp has sort of agreed with me and prescribed gaviscon which she has been on since Friday but has made no difference so far!!! do you have to let gaviscon get into the system like you do infacol etc??
