Ah Sarah, so sorry for you loss hun, hope they are keeping a close eye on you this time round. I just get my aspirin over the counter, its the 75mg 'baby aspirin'. I know alot of poeple are advised to take it in soluable form though, so it will just depend on your gyne I reckon. x

Im not taking it yet, but will be, as a preventative measure (Tyler was stillborn at 40w on May 1st this year). I was told by my consultant i have to take it, but not sure how im gonna have to go about it - do you have to get it on prescription? Need to take high dose folic acid too (yuk!)

I took it 2 mths prior to getting my BFP under consultant's advice and continue to take it for prevention of pre-eclampsia. It's such a low dose that it can't be considered in same category as other painkillers. Cx

Thanks for all the replies girls - I'm self medicating, i've only had 2 early mc's so far so docs havn't looked into it, thought i'd give it a shot as I had nothing to loose - so to speak, saw mw yesterday and she was pretty set against it but said it was ultimately up to me!! I've got the furthest I ever have with a pregnancy, i'm now 9+1 and my last scan was last friday at 8+3, and bubs is going strong so far.
I'm hoping to be referred to be consultancy lead as I think they have more experience with the whole aspirin thing.
My main problem is i've been spotting since around 6wks, the sonographer saw where she thinks the bleed is coming from but the mw is worried that taking the aspirin could make it worse, so i'm a bit worried now.
Blondie I remember you too, congrats on your BFP
