They put me backwards and forwards a few times in my first pregnancy. Try not to worry too much. They only use pixels to measure baby on the scan.

Had scan yesterday, put me forward a week now, so now 13 +4. Just goes to show hey!

this must happen to everyone ladies cos they put me back two weeks on my first scan which im really gutted about - feel like im going backwards its gonna take forever to meet my bump!!! dont worry though in the early stages its a bit hit and miss with getting the dates right - i mean i think they have got mine wrong but we will soon see when they little diamond pops out x x x

I went for what i thought was my 12 week scan on 22nd Sept, only to be told I was infact only 9and a half weeks.Was totally gutted as have been feeling real sick all day since day one! And had told myself it would get better soon.Was told to go back  3 weeks later, and thats today. So will be glad to know where I am. Glad they didnt date me back then and I get another chance to see my bean. Wish me luck! xxx

I had my 12wk scan yesterday. I should have been 12+4 but they said it was only measuring 11wks....I have to go back on 24th for another scan to check again...With my last pregnancy, my date was only 5 days out from the measurements, and I'm fairly sure I know when I conceived this time and they will eventually make it somewhere in between my date and theirs....Try not to worry too much - these scans aren't very accurate...

I went for my scan on the 3rd Oct ..

I thought I was bang on 13 weeks but they put me back to 12+2..

Normally here u only get 1 scan on the N.h.s at 12 weeks..

But she said Iv to go back on the 24th this month to have another scan , she said something about getting the head measured that they prefer u to be over 13 weeks !

I dont have a clue and have never heard of this b4..

The baby looked fine and had a good heartbeat

Has any1 else had this ??

my dates have been changed so many times, first i was due 30th march, then 19th april, now they changed it to 15th april, and dates still not right so i gotta wait for another scan. my dates jump a couple of weeks and all were done by a different sonogropher.

hi i totally no how u feel went for scan thought was about 9 weeks hosp says only six wk 1day?? anyway went bk exactly 3weeks laterand was 8wks 1day ? i lost a week??? apparently any scan under 8 weeks is not very accurate with dates. please do not worry all will be fine x

Our hospital wont date any pregnancy less than 8+ weeks because its so easy to get it wrong.

I had a scan this time at  6 weeks exactly to be told i wasnt even 5 weeks by the scan, i knew it was wrong because i knew when i'd ovulated etc they wouldnt believe me so i expected a MC.. 3 weeks later i had a scan at 9+3 and the dates were bang on my ovulation dates then i had my 12 week scan at what i thought was 12+4  to be told i was 13 weeks exactly..

I really woudnt trust the scans too much but i can understand how depressing it must be to be put back.

Sure baby will catch up, maybe you just had a crap sonographer xx

to be honest i dnt think they should have dated you at the scan at 6wks i had 1 at 6wks due to some abdominal pain and they said that it looked about 6wks but she wouldnt date me as she said it was too small so they got me back in for a dating scan at 8wks and dated me then

I know early scans can be wrong but usually only by a week or so.

Im really not sure what to suggest hun but try to relax and wait for you next scan.

You could call your mw and ask her what could be the cause and that.

Hiya, like everyones saying, try not to worry. I've had 2 early scans and they did say that on my 12wk (which is next monday) the date could change again. This will be my 4th due date. I have always been put back 2 wks on my 12wk scan. Its great that the little one was wrigling about.  (((Hugs))) Ema (11+2)

Don't be upset hun. They just made a mistake with measurements first time round and all it means is bubs will be here a little later than expected. If you're worried maybe phone the maternity unit at the hospital or your midwife/gp and speak to them.

Try not to worry too much, I thought they couldn't tell dates until you were approx 11 weeks so maybe they were wrong at the early scan. Good news that baby was wriggling about though.

Oh no you poor thing. I haven't had any experience of this I'm afraid although have been told I wasn't as far as I thought on prev pgs and then I miscarried BUT that was at 6wk stage not this far along - if something was wrong I would've thought it would've gone pear-shaped before now and like you say, wriggling around etc so that's reassuring. I had my scan last night and she initially said I was 12wks and when I told her I am def 13wks as know the date I conceived, she re-measured and got it to 12+6!!! Seems those few mm's make a huge difference. It might have a sudden growth spurt in the next wk or so - stay positive, easier said than done I know. Best of luck hon x

The title says it all, just been for my scan (should be14+3 according to first scan i had at 6 wk due to bleeding) but baby is only measuring 11+3. had arms and legs and was wriggling about but they were worried so i have to go back in 2 weeks.

Any one else had anything like this.
