My midwife is coming this morning @ 11am so im going to ask her as when I had a bad cold last time around 8 wks my doctor told me I couldn't take lemsip or any throat sweet

One of my clients who is also pregnant (which im convinced gave me the cold lol) has had it for over two weeks and said the chemist told her she can take nothing !!!
Will let you know what she says, I think there is so much conflicting advice from health professionals, magazines etc when pregnant but if she says i can have a lemsip im going to brew one while she is here !!!

You can use Lemsip flue plus capsules or sachets. I had a bad cold and I had them, my Dad says all the ingredients are fine and he's a doc! x

nothing you can do for the cold unfortunatly except stick your head over a steaming bowl of water and inhale it might unblock you abit............as for what to do with dd, my dd is also 15 months old and its so hard lately with her being full of cold i took her out yesterday without a hat and gloves as they were off by the time i got to the front door! hates wearing them! so she freezes ..................anyway have you tried sitting her down with crayons and paper and letting her draw or our new game is teaching what an animal does my dd's favourite is a cat she now crawls round going meow........or the latest one is a crocodile if i ask her what a crocodile does shes claps her hands and shouts snap which she thinks this is loads of fun just dont do a cow they seem sto laugh at the word moooooo
