I went to my midwife again yesterday and she said 'well your still managing to walk, so its not as bad as it could be' , i was so shocked i understand that theres alot who cant walk with it but it doesnt mean i'm not in alot of pain. Anyway shes referred me to the physio but said not to hold my breath on getting an appointment anytime soon as theres a waiting list and some pregnant women have already had their baby by the time an appointment comes through. Total waste of time and really unuseful. I don't know what to do as I'm taking painkillers and trying to take it easy but as I'm getting heavier its getting worse.Rant over, thanks for all your advice

Hi twilightmammy
I just tried to message you but I don't think it worked.
I have a 4year old too and only got similar symptoms in last 4 weeks last time so put it down to being heavily pregnant.
I cry or feel like it most of the time and like you struggle to do the most basic things that we take for granted.
Feel free to message me - i'm not entirely sure how to do that on here? It says I have to make friends with someone to send them a message.
Anyway chin up and keep going

hi lounumber2
like you I don't like taking codeine either. I don't think people understand unless they are going through it. I come out the shower crying as simple things like getting dressed causes me sooo much pain. Have you any other children???? xxx

Hi
I too have PGP and it's been rubbish. Am currently off work and on crutches which help but after 15minutes I'm crippled. I am taking codeine and paracetamol and although supposedly safe for baby I am worried that something will happen.
Light Twilightmammy I feel so lonely and isolated. I'm crying constantly. It has helped coming on here and seeing that I'm not alone but at the same time I just feel sorry for all you ladies.

hi shellmumof2
I have had this since 9 weeks this time and 16 weeks last pregnancy and I can't take it anymore.
Have you had it all 3 pregnancies????
I am like you and find baths really sore i can't walk up or down stairs I take my toddler in the shower with me so as i don't have to put him in or out the bath and like you i'm not sleeping either and with a toddler not sleeping and constant pain becomes so depressing and lonely
I won't see a consultant till 36 weeks which is just over 7 weeks so I guess i just have to put up with it I was inuced with my 1st at term i was taken in on my due date so hoping the same will be done this time too.. I really do feel your pain it's horrible that you have it

I saw the physio today but my pain is just in my hip, on the right side. She showed me a couple of exercises, showed me how to manoevre myself in bed etc and then did some acupuncture - that hurt!!!! Strange kind of 'hurt' though!! Going back for more acupuncture next week.
