Thats a bummer about the car, does that mean a taxi back aswell? Will it be your sister and Graham as birthing partners then? Im sure she'll understand if you tell her to b***er off!

Hope you stuffed your face at the pub?

If Im not about later (which I probably will be at some point!)  then good luck and lots of hugs, you'll do a wonderful job x x x

Well girls, I'm about as ready as I'm gonna ever be!!!

Crash centre has just rang to say that the car will not be ready until tomorrow morning      . Gonna have to get a taxi to hospital (which will cost a bloody fortune, It's a good hours drive!!!!)

Still Graham is taking us all out for a last meal now so I don't have to cook woohooo!!!!! Local pub does amazing food, I'm gonna completely pig out!!!! Well I need my energy for tomorrow don't I?

Just need to make sure my phone is all charged up and the camera is sorted for those all important first pictures. My sis is absolutely determined to be there so we will see how that goes. If she gets on my nerves then Graham has said he will kick her out!!!

Will hopefully be on later - trying to keep my sanity, I'm sick of people (my mum) going on about it all!!!!!

Amanda your hospital sounds gorgeous,  more like a hotel. We didnt get a tour of ours with our classes, they are in the process of doing a dvd instead, but its not finished yet so I missed out. Was a little bit dissapointed, would of been nice to prepare.

Di how you feeling now? Its understandable that your nervous, think anyone would be. It's weird knowing when its going to happen. Your stories dont put me off, I love to hear them all. I try not to worry to much when I read a bad one- theres no going back now!!

I ventured into town today, went to see a friend and have ordered a tumble dryer - told you I shouldnt go out, I just find ways to spend money!! It will come in handy though because in my tiny flat there isnt enough space to dry my clothes let alone the amount  a baby will go through. Especially in winter.  Its being delivered on Tuesday so lets hope bubs doesnt decide to make an appearance!

    Afternoon ladies!!

Di - don't worry too much about the life insurance - they won't even insure me until 6 months after I've given birth because of my GD!!! Nana's not a big fan of the Xbox, so won't be saving for it - although we have enough other gadgets to sink a ship!! He's in charge f packing them up - hence why they haven't been done!! Was planning on going on the Wii Fit for the afternoon, but sooooooooo tired form not sleeping for the last few days! Might just have a little snooze on the couch before I try to go online and sell more furniture and white goods!

Kylé - Hope you're feeling ok today? Not too bored!!

Had my second antenatal class today and the hospital tour - feel happier now as the rooms are lovely and they even have a paddling (supposed to be birthing!!) pool in one, Nana made a note of the number and will request it at the right time! They also said that the birthing rooms with pools and queen size beds etc will be opening beginning May - hopefully JB stays put til then! They sound lovely with pillows and duvets and partners can stay and everything! Then you don't go to postnatal, just stay there til you go home!

Jiust about to go and have a row about the furniture now - back shortly!!

    Just hope it works quickly.

You hear all these horror stories of inductions taking days and it ending in a c-section. I've been induced twice before and always had my baby that day so fingers crossed. Can't help feeling tho' that cos this pg has been so different that I'm not gonna labour the same either!!!!

Sorry  hun, I don't want to put you off or scare you with nasty stories about labour and stuff, I've got nothing but good experiences of labour really. I guess you don't have to be a 1st timer to get put off with other peoples stories eh????

Just ignore me - I ramble when I'm nervous or on edge - not helping that my litle sis wants to be there for the birth (not sure about how she would cope with it tbh) cos her fiance is going about having kids. I've told her to hold on for a good few years - she's way too young. (she is 22 - but very immature for her age )

Well at least its a morning appointment so you dont have to wait around all day. Friday you'll be at that football presentation and Saturday you'll be able to have a good old bounce on that trampoline (which Im sooo jealous about - would love one!)

As for bounty, Im not sure, dont mind the colours but everything seems a bit squashed together. Cant see the pm bit either

Yes the insurance man was a man!!!! (figures)

I've got to be at the hospital for 9:00am tomorrow - just hoping we have the car back by then. Not looking good tbh, they won't commit to finishing it today even tho Graham has explained why we really really need it. MEN!!! I bet if men had to givce birth or be pg then my car would have been fixed last week (maybe even before I crashed it lol)

The boys are getting really excited altho' Callum (ds2) is a bit worried cos he has a presentation night on Friday, when he will be awarded a medal along with rest of his football team. He thinks he will miss out if I'm in hospital, and he really wants me to be there too, so I'm hoping I can get in, have baby and get straight back out!!! Must be mad!!!

Our sunshine seems to be going now, probably a good thing cos the trampoline is looking very tempting (and seeing as I can barely walk never mind bounce.......)

Have a good day hun, will be about, a fair bit cos I'm nervous and just want to take my mind off things.

Btw - what do you think to the new look Bounty? I still can't find the pm bit!!!!!

Hey Di, the life insurance man (was it a man?!) sure knows how to reassure people eh?!  Silly man.

Im really excited for you about tomorrow, one of the first things I thought of when I woke! What time will you be getting started? As for the weather its lovely here too, might go for a wander in a bit, shame to waste it, it'll probably be raining again tomorrow!

    Morning ladies!!!

Amanda - gosh you must be sooooo pleased!!! Just don't go bursting just yet - you need to move first. Your scan sounded amazing - I love it when you are lucky enough to get so much detail - lol about the Don King afro. Btw 22nd may - good date -  my birthday!!!!! Go on you know you want to!!!

Shame there's no online multiplay on wii fit - it does kind of add to the fun a bit, Graham keeps saying I wish Nana had an xbox cos the online play is so much better. (Has Nana told you he is saving up for one?) He's currently trying to organise a regular night with his gaming buddies and was wondering if Nana would be interested. Said he gave him the name of his gamimg site - they are organising it on there, or he could just message Graham. (I swear that boy is trying to get everyone in the world into gaming!!!) Still it keeps him out of mischief - at least I know what he is up to.

Kyle - Of course I will be making time for u after I've had baby. I'm not that easy to get rid of you know. Have you got anything good planned for today? We've actually got some sunshine!!!!

Keep looking at my bump today and thinking omg it's the last full day of being pg!!!! Just think tomorrow I've got to share

Oh - and cheery thought for the day - not. Our financial advisor rang yesterday, apparently thr bank screwed up and I don't actually have any life insurance in place. He found out I was gonna be having baby tomorrow and is now insisting on rushing thro' the application so we are covered for tomorrow!!!! How to make a pg woman calm about the whole childbirth process - NOT!!!!!

Anyway i've run out of things to say for now so will let you have some peace, come and chat, I'm lonely and v.v.v.v. nervous about tomorrow!!!!

    Take care girls

Ok, my days events - bear with me, it's been an eventful one!  Went to the solicitors this morning to sign off papers, then off to hospital for my scan and diabetic review. Mum came to the scan with me as Nana ad to head into work. During the scan my mum ended up saying she knew the sonographer form the clinic she works in, so immediately we got VIP treatment! She stopped and was having a right good old look at JB, ended up seeing a profile REALLY clearly of the head, so I'm marvelling at the size of it's chubby gerbil cheeks and it must have heard me, turned straight to look at the scanner!!! Think I scared eveyrbody in the room as I screamed out "OMG, it's got its' daddy's nose"!!!!! Then we were laughing at the perfect little rosebud lips, then, my eyes caught the SHOCK of afro hair - Don King style, sticking straight up - it's sooooooooooo long already!!! Still amazed at how clear it all was, but really gutted that Nana wasn't there to see it!

So, after the scan I head out beaming like a cheshire cat to see the nurse, get told the Dr wants to see me - more VIP treatment, they just want to reassure me that fatty is ok and should weigh in about 9lb if I go full term, but they will defo induce me at 41 weeks coz of GD, so will have JB with us for sure by 22nd May now! Other good news was that the fobroid hasn't grown at all since the last time, and has maybe even shrunk a little?!!

Then the solicitor phones to say that she's recieved the paperwork at last and we can defo exchange and complete on Wed for sure! All deliveries are booked for Thurs and collect the keys Wed and get shown round. So mum and dad are aorted to come and help clean and get things sorted on Thurs, van is booked for moving on Sat and movnig all Nanas stuff form South London too as it's BH weekend and we have time - perfect timing really!

Then estate agents call to say that the buyers are really keen and have already given solicitors details etc and want ours, all looks set to be finalised within 6 weeks as they alreayd have their mortgage offer in place!!!

And to top it all off, we got 3 emails back from one of the websites I advertised the furniture and appliances on saying people want to buy them - for close to the asking price too!!!

I'm sooooooooooooo happy I think I might burst!!!

Ladies, ladies!!! I go away for 1 day and you guys are all online having a right old coffee morning without me!!

Kylé - loving both the names to be honest!! Sahme about the Strep B, but as Di says, at least they know about it now before lo arrives? I think my MW said today that if you need any kind of drip / IV you can't have a waterbirth, but you should still be able to walk around though - they have drip stands? God help the person who tries to make me stay still - or even worse, on a bed when I'm in labour!!! Glad to hear that you and Ben are a bit more sorted now, hopefully he will sort himself out and do some growing up when the lo arrives and he has to be the responsible one!!

Di - Glad you had a fun family weekend, I was relegated to the bedroom for TV as Nana was engrossed in some Wii strategy game - don't understand it and was bored after 2 seconds of him trying to explain it to me!!!! Bring on the Wii Fit though!! It doesn't have online version - but we can compare notes anyway?!?! I might still take you on at Mario Kart?!?! Trampoline sounds like fun - me, the kids wouldn't get a look in, I'd be on it the whole time!!! Hope you're all ready for Wed now?

I'm sure you will eventually be back to normal - altho I'm still waiting!!!! lol

Only kidding - you are soo right to give it time after baby, it's a very emotional time and far too easy to tell yourself something is right when it isn't. Take your time. Just glad that my story helped.

Your not talking crap, making alot of sense actually. Its nice to here a happy ending in situations like that. Ive said I'll have to give it a couple of months after the baby, until my head and hormones are back to some normality (that does happen doesnt it?!?!) and I am thinking straight.

Anytime hun, like you say it's what we are here for.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the Ben front too, if that's what you both decide you want. Having the break, and then having a baby may just be the kick up the backside he needs!!!!

Tbh, your situation is almost the same as mine when i was pg with ds1 - Graham was a totally selfish git - typical student tbh, drinking, drugs, other girls. We split while I was pg, but he wanted to still be a part of his babies life, so I kept in contact. I swear the look on his face when our son was born - I knew then that he was a changed person (sounds soooo cliched, but true). We didn't get back together straight away - but took steps towards it. Slowly the trust came back and well, the rest is history. Married with no.5 on the way. So it can work out. It doesn't always, and I know I was one of the lucky ones. End of the day - it's between you and Ben, and so long as you both do what is right for you and your baby then you will be fine.

Gosh - I'm all sappy and emotional today!!!!  If I start spouting too much crap at you just tell me to shut my gob!!!!

Yeah your right, thanks for chat! Dont know what I'd do without you lot.  Sometimes I dont want to speak to family or friends until I know the facts myself- they'd only panic! Anyway only time will tell now!

Ben has been great since we've not been together, stopped drinking! Wants to get back together but I said we'll see once baby is born. Cant risk him slipping back into old habits in these next few weeks, want them to be as stress free as possible.

It's the main reason I won't make a deff. birth plan. They never go how you want. I would say tho' that your comfort is vitally important hun. If you get stressed out then baby will. Good positions in labour can speed up the process and make it easier for baby to come out - and trust me they really do work!!!!. Less stress leads to less intervention - so please\don't think you are unimportant when you labour, you are. Its a hard job to do and only you can do it, so if there is something you are not happy with - tell em.

Oh - and I'm glad to hear Ben will be with you - especially if he will speak up for you.
