Im surprised you havent whalloped you in-laws Di?! Dont really blame you for not wanting to see them, like you need that added stress at the moment. We're always here to listen to you vent!

Ethen has been really good so far, waking every 4hours in the night. Think its a bit to good to be true, he's just teasing me for a bit! Will try and put a few more pics on a bit while waiting for midwife.

Hope babies are all well and of course mummies.

    Hi there ladies,

Firstly Kyle - Congratulations (again!!!). Feels more official if I say it on here too!!!!. I hope you are continuing to enjoy your little man. He is soooooo gorgeous - reminded me of how much I loved having my little boys. AND what a great sounding labour!!!! Yours was actually shorter than mine!!!! I'm glad it was such a positive experience for you. And your now a mummy buddy - Yeah!!!!

Soooo - when's the next one being planned?!?!?!?!? Hahahahaha!!!!

Haven't been on for a while as I'm having a pretty rough time atm. Had the in-laws here all week too which hasn't helped at all. They were supposed to be thro' to help out, all I did was wait on them hand and foot for a week. The mil thinks I'm insane and is trying to convince Graham to have me committed!!! (No seriously!!!) Yes I feel depressed, but surely that is taking things a bit too far????? Atm I don't ever want to see her again.

Amanda - bless you about your mum. I'm sure you will be easily just as great a mum as yours is. My Mum (unfortunately) is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!!! She thinks sitting on her bum and watching me struggle is the ultimate in helpfulness!!! Normally I don't mind as I quite enjoy looking after people, but atm I just don't really feel like it.

Anyways - I'm trying not to depress anyone anymore, so I'll stop moaning now!!!

Kaitlyn had her scan yesterday - but unfortunately I have to wait for a follow-up appt to get the results from it. Luckily I've got the same kidney specialist who looks after the other two so he knows us all which always makes me feel better. The lady doing the scan said she couldn't see anything obviously wrong with her stamach tho' which is good news but she only had a quick look, she wasn't supposed to be looking at her tummy at all. My gp reckons that she has got a reflux problem - so I've got to avoid letting her lie down flat now to see if that helps. Reflux usually clears up at around 6 months so fingers crossed!!!

Hope you girls have good days with your babies - hopeyou have had some good nights too. I'll try to catch you later if any of you are around (we are all so busy with our babies now!!!!)

    Take care girls

Di - Let us know how Caitlyn got on? Fingers crossed all was ok?

Had a couple fo visitors today, so a bit worn out! Had the HV here too with loads fo useful local info and places for me to get support - I love her! Also said she loved the calm atmosphere in the house?!!

    Hi mummies and babes!

How we all doing, Im ok, think everything is going well so far, *touch wood*. First night at home went well, was much better than in the hospital, was woken about every 3 hours and he settled back down straight away, unlike at the hospital. Think Im going to like this mum business!

Just popping on before I get a bath ready for Bens sister and her 4 kids Must be mad!

Di - I'm so sorry, I missed your message on here completely!! Hope tomorrow goes ok for Caitlin and they find out what's wrong and why she's being sick all the time? You mean, wicked mummy giving the poor child ginger hair!! That was always my biggest fear was having a ginger baby after seeing the grief my friend used to get!! Still, no worries about that with Nana - just the ever more curly hair!!!

Kylé - Glad you're home, it is weird at first. Good luck with it and just take it easy, like I said this morning, take all the offers of help you can get and concentrate on your little man! Hope you're still on cloud nine and the pain hasn't kicked in yet!?!

Hope all the ladies - and ALL the babies (now they're all here!) are doing well today!! My little princess has slept all day again, so me thinks it might be a rough night! Feeling poo today, can't stand for more than 2 minutes or my insides feel like they're being pulled out!! Taking it easy as mum's here to wait on me hand and foot - god, I love my mum!!! I only hope I can be as good to Eloise! Just been looking at photos of me in labour and videos - didn't realise Nana did so much! It's a lovely record of Eloise's journey into the world, but not too flattering for me!?!? Been crying my eyes out here watching it!!

Oh well, should take advantage of the sleep she's having and get some rest I guess! Hopefully catch you all on here later?

    Im home girls! Feels weird!

Labour was 7hours 5 mins . Got to hospital and was 4cm, this was at just after 5 I think. They took me to a labour suite and went on gas and air, then I decided to have half a dose of diamorphine (she said only half because I wasnt sure if I wanted an epidural or not), was a nice feeling! lol.  At about 11 I said I could feel him in my bum and thought he was going to come out. Mw said she wasnt going to check me for another half an hour because I couldnt possibly be ready to push! WTF did she know! Ben had a word with her, she checked and sure as anything he wanted out. Started pushing just as I the anethetist was ready for epidural(to late and Im glad), at this point I was puffing on gas and air and said to ben 'dont know what all the fuss is about it doesnt hurt that much!' (drugs must be good, good job it was only half a dose! - I also thought Girls Aloud were on the birth posistions poster!!) Anyway, had to have an episostomy(sp?) because his heart rate went up and they needed him out. That was that, all in all a good experience.

Sorry its so long, hope to chat soon now that Im a MUMMYBUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!! X X X X

Hey Amanda - you still love us then?!?!?

What is it about men and them wanting to wait until you are at the registry office before they try to mix things up a bit? They really do come from a different planet.

As to the cord thing - yes weepy cack is quite normal, if it fell off today then it should dry out over the next couple of days. I find just gently bathing with cool boiled water did the trick. Kaitlyns dropped off after about 5 days and I panicked cos it was bleeding and then went weepy.

Sorry to hear about the peer pressure, Idon't think your little angel looked like a boy in your pics!!! Didn't see a don king afro either!!!!! I'm afraid I have constantly got madam in pink. So much pink has been bought for her she will never get to wear it all. Doesn't help that I keep buying things that are a bit less frilly. I've got some absolute nightmarish dresses been bought for her. Don't quite know how to be diplomatic in saying no way in hell is she wearing that!!!!

Looks like she is definately gonna ge a ginger tho . Poor love has been cursed by me, I heard the ginger hair gene was dying out - apparently not!!!! Getting nervous about her scan on tuesday now tho. Hope she gets given a clean bill of health. Still not sure what is cauising the projectile vomitting tho' . Hospital said they will extend the scan to just check her tummy and rule out any probs there.

Hope Eloise is being a good little angel for her Mummy today - glad your boobies got to have a rest too. I had a much better night with madam last night too.

Hey Kyle - hope you are coping hun. Def trust your own instincts when it comes to your body tho' . Hope your little man makes an appearance soon. Aren't you gonna be induced tomorrow if he doesn't come today???? At least you will have him soon. Maybe you will get the last DIM baby born in may award.!!!!! That would be sooo funny if I got first and you got last!!!!

Anyhow - madam is calling so will be back soon to see how you all are.

    Take care girls

    Afternoon Ladies!!

Sorry to have abandoned you this morning, had ot go and register the little madam - Nana decides to discuss what we're "officially" calling her in the car park once we've arrived - I ask you!!

All done now - I won in the end anyway! Little darling slept all the way through it! People keep asking if she's a boy, so I've been forced to purchase some pink dresses and girlie outfits - god, I hate peer pressure!!!

Got the MW coming this afternoon to poke arond my bits some more and check madam over, her cord finally fell off today - it was rotten! All a bit weepy now though - is that normal Di? She slept last night from 2-8 so not so much boobie swinging! Very happy as I got Nana to do most of it on bottles so my boobs got a well earned rest and ready to face today again!!

Kylé - busting a gut here send ing you vibes to get that stubborn monkey out! I agree with Di though, don't let them fob you off! They told me I could go in until I was contracting every 3 minutes - I'd already got to 6cms and they were still coming eveyr 7 minutes! Apparently it's a called "Bionic labour" means your contractions do the job in double the lenght of time, but are further apart. Just insist on going in and being seen if it goes on too long or you don't feel right - you know your own body.

Di - hope you're feeling ok today and little madam gave you a break in the night??

When you say achy down in your bum do you mean a heavy feeling? or is it more like pressure?

It is normal for them to change especially if labour is progressing. I would be careful tho' I know your pains aren't regular but sometimes they never regulate. Mw's at hospitals would sometimes do well to remember this. There have been a few girls on here that have been told not to come in cos their contractions aren't regular only to give birth at home or on way to hospital etc. Also, just because you can cope with the pain doesn't mean you do not need to go in.

I have given birth 5 times now with no pain relief. With DS1 they were gonna send me home cos I was barely in pain, I had to insist on them examining me only to discover I was 6cm dilated!!!

Keep an eye on it hun, and if you are unsure ring hospital (don't let them fob you off, they will try cos you are a first timer) or I'm about all day now, either post on here or even text me if you want some advice and I will try my best.

    Take care hun

Officially pi**ed off now! Contractions were still irregular, furthest apart being 7 mins, closest 4 mins. Rang hosp last night because it had been 24hours and I was getting fed up. She said dont come in until I cant take it anymore. Gave in and had some paracetamol, was able to nod off in between them so feel a bit refreshed today. Still getting contractions but they feel different: They arent as 'painy' more like REALLY achy, and lower down, in my lower tummy, sort of in my hips and almost bum bone. I have just started timing them again so hopefully there will be a  pattern!

Is it ok for them to feel different than they were?

Kylé - Happy Birthday!!  Hopefully you're now holding the best birthdya present anyone could wish for? Or at leats it won't be long now?! Fingers crossed for you!

Di - keep that chin up! I know how you feel being up all night. I hope Kaitlyn's having a better day today? Did you find any solutions to the sickness? What did the MW / HV say? Little madam was swinging form my boobs all night! She cluster fed for 4 hours!! Finally went to sleep at 3.30, then up again at 6.30 - then had the cheek to sleep in til 11!!! Kept her awake all morning and just put her down now, but here on my own today for the first time, so trying to take it easy. Took me 3 attempts to make lunch in between trying not to pass out!!

Glad you liked the montage - might try and improve it today in between sleeping!

Hope you're all enjoying the nice weather (while it lasts!!)

Im still at home, still getting pains and couldnt sleep because of them. They are 8 mins or less apart but is no regular pattern, could be 3 mins then 6 then 5. And they are only lasting about 45 secs. Still not agonising but definately getting worse, dont know if the tens has anything to do with it, dont want to take it off now!

Half way to 50 today! ha

Sorry to hear you had a bad night, maybe Kaitlyn knew her bump buddie was on his way and was excited and couldnt settle!

woohoo Kyle - sounds like things are really starting to happen for you!!!  Fingers crossed!!!!

By the way  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!   How great would it be to have your little man on your birthday??? It's kinda what I hoped to do but would have involved me being a week overdue so I had to settle for 3 weeks before Sending you loads of labour vibes (altho hoping by now you may not need them)

Amanda - your footage is amazing!!!! So lovely to see, made me cry too. Doesn't take much these days believe me. Oh and what was that I saisd about having a good baby who slept thro the night??? Serves me right for bragging I guess - I think I have had an hours sleep all night .

No matter how much boob swinging (lol!!) she wouldn't settle - just kept feeding , filling her nappy, throwing up lakes of vomit, and then wanting to play!!! She finally fell asleep at 6:30am by which time my other little monkeys were starting to stir. I hate half-term!!!!!

Anyways - give me some good news please - before I am tempted to get out the razor blades. Hope you had a better night than me Amanda. You probably need it more than I do. I can't believe how gorgeous your baby girl is btw!!!!!

Kyle - I hope you haven't had such a quiet night (in the best possible sense of course)

    Take care girls

Got it on now, just read the instructions (something i should of done a few weeks ago!) Im quite liking it now, feel I'll be able to cope loads easier at home with it, they are starting to get quite painful. Stopped timing them because I got bored but going to start again now!! OOOHH Im excited.

Hope Eloise doesnt need to swing from your boobies as often tonight

You should have it on continuously, but at the start of each contraction press the button that gives you a boost - this is what numbs the pain of the contraction. I wasn't keen on it at first, but wouldn't take it off in the end!! Just remember to press the button again at the end of the contraction to stop the extra boost!!
