Its fixed - Im back!!!!!     So happy.

Ben is taking me for a drink tonight, agreed to go mainly because if I get a bit dressed up and go somewhere I dont really want to be going into labour it might just happen! Fingers crossed girls.

    Missed you

Good to hear from you Kyle!!!!

Hope you manage to get your laptop fixed soon hun - I'm getting lonely and bored on here. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hated school sports day either!!!! Never have been sporty tbh.

I hope they do manage to induce you sucessfully, I wouldn't worry tooo much about head not being engaged, I've been successfully induced 3 times now and their heads weren't engaged, or even particularly low down!! In fact Kaitlyns head had poppedback out and was pointing diagonally towards my hip bone, and she moved down nicely as labour progressed.

Still it's good that you are preparing for every eventuality, saves you being all disappointed if it doesn't go to plan. At the end of the day all that really matters is getting your lo safely into this world so that you can enjoy him.

Anyway - will hopefully speak to you soon, I've got the dreaded half-term holidays now!!! Aaaarghh - 5 kids in the house and no help

    Take care

Im in the library again!! A man is coming round to fix laptop today between 12-4 hopefully, asked Ben to wait at mine for him though because I needed to get out! Hopefully will be back on as normal later!

I really dont think this baby wants to come out, hes dragging his feet. Got to go to the day centre at the hospital on Tuesday to be monitered and get 'swept'! Only if baby is engaged (he was 3 weeks ago but now he's not - thought that wasnt poss with a first baby??!) Anyway, if that doesnt go to plan will be induced next Sat at latest. So at least I have a date, if they induce me and this little bu**er still doesnt go down it could end up in a section though    Trying to go with the flow and prepare for anything.

Well thats my update, just wish it was more exciting and with pics of a little one to show off. So jealous of you all. Brings back the horrible memories of school sports day when I was last at everything lol!

Hope your all enjoying your little bundles of joy and they are behaving perfectly for you all.

    Speak soon hopefully.

OMG - Nana and Graham and sooo funny.

Graham did exactly the same thing with our carseat when I came home!!!! Fifth child and he still doesn't think to get to know how a piece of equipment works before we put the child in it. Mind you some of thwe stuff they have needs you to have a degree in rocket science to figure out.

I think you might be right about waiting with your birth story (don't want to frighten poor Kyle). Just give me warning so I can arrange childcare for the day so I can read it - lol!!!

I know she is being left until the 27th before they do anything - she doesn't want to be induced tho' so I'm really hoping the little rascal comes soon for her.

Finally got an appt thro for Kaitlyn to have her ultrasound - about bloody time. They told me we would have appt within a week. When I complained they had the cheek to tell me that she didn't have her appt thro yet because I had insisted on being discharged only a few hours after I gave birth!!! Cheeky beggars- I never insisted, I merely asked how soon would it be possible to leave, and it was 12 hrs after having her. I know women who have been in a lot less. One mw told me that I could have gone straight from labour ward if madam hadn't have needed resus.

Why is it when they screw up it is always someone elses fault. I swear I will not be keeping quiet if they find anything on her scan!!!! (ok rant over!!!)

Anyways - enjoy your first proper day at home together, hope you feel more comfortable soon.

    Take care

    Morning ladies!!

Got home really late last night as only got discharged at 9.30 (pm)!! All a bit last minute, but VERY relieved to be home!! Nana being Nana hadn't organised, so we learned how to put the car seat in the car once Eloise was in it - in the car park of the hospital!!

Just getting Nana to do his house duties now and clean up a bit before the grandparents and masses descend! Then I REALLY must get my bum into the shower and get dressed! Think the midwives are coming over today, so won't look good to find messy house and scummy mummy waiting for them!

Kyle - have a word with that child of yours, honestly this is getting beyond a joke now??!

I will certainly post my birth story - might wait til Kyle's had her little boy though! You'll need more than just a cuppa to go through it though!!

    Morning ladies.

    Amanda - WELCOME HOME HUN!!!!!

Yours is one birth story I can't wait to read, sounds dramatic enough without any of the gory details. Just read your post on the update thread I did - I love her full title. (Sounds so exotic!!!!) Is her middle name somethinfg to do with thew day she was born???

I did do you a thread about you having your baby - but it seems to have vanished!!! Maybe there has been lots of new stuff posted since.

So - how was your first day home? Hope it was good for you. I always love that first day at home feeling, it's so special. It is somehow more real once you are trying to fit your lo into real life rather than a hospital routine. Still I'm sure you will do fine, you and Nana will be fantastic parents!!

Kyle - where are you, I thought yiou were getting your laptop fixed a couple of days ago??? Unless you are off sneakily giving birth as we speak.

Anyways - better go (Madam is calling) - hopefully will hear from you girls at some point soon.

    Take care

Just goes to show how unreliable growth scans can be sometimes. The doctor who did my growth scan the day before my section was actually pretty accurate. He reckoned bub was between 8 and a half to 9 pounds and out popped Tate at 8lbs 8ozs!

Don't worry too much about turning 34! You're only a year older than me, I had my section on the 13th and turned 33 the day before that.

Kyle sweetie, it looks like you win the wooden spoon hun! We're all patiently waiting for you to pop!

oooops sorry I forgot to add the birth weight for her.

Eloise weighed in at 8lbs!!! So maybe she didn't eat as many pies as we all thought.

Heard from Amanda yesterday - and she is doing ok, in pain but sounding very much like a proud adoring mummy!!!! I can' t wait to see some pictures, I bet she is really cute.

Can't believe we have nearly finished having our babies - Come on Kyle!!!! LOL!!!

Then again I can't believe Kaitlyn is 3 wks old today!!!! Then again I can't beileve that I am  (ahem ) 34 years today. Ah well we all have to get old don't we?!?!?!?

    Take care

    Congratulations Amanda chick!

Just as well I didn't have a girl lol! Our original girls name was Mina but if we had a girl and she didn't look like a Mina I had said to Dan about Elouise!

Just waiting to find out how big your little bundle was.

    Congrats again! xxx

    CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA AND NANA!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to you both on the birth of JB - Eloise is a fantastically gorgeous name!!!!

I hope you are recovering well - I was getting worried when I didn't hear from you.

Still she is here and it is done now. I'm sure you will both have a great time getting to know your little one. (She wasn't quite so huge after all!!!)

    Enjoy - you deserve it!!!!

Yes yiou can still use pg brain (I unfortunately no longer have thaqt excuse)

As to worrying about bothering us on the phone - it's what they were invented for isn't it? Bother away - I don't mind, I like to feel I can help. Amanda's mobile is on the blink, I feel a bit bad in case she thinks I was pestering her. (I was worried\cos I wasn't hearing from her.)

Still you will be back tomorrow so hopefully we will be able to chat then.

Hey Kyle!!!  Good to hear from you!!!

Good news about the laptop, it's been way to quiet on here lately. I guess we are all busier atm with our bumps and babies.

Can't believe you and Amanda are still here. I really thought Amanda would of had her little JB by now with all the pain she is hving. Hopefully the hossie will take pity on her this afternoon and break her waters. Poor love is gonna be too knackered to enjoy her baby at this rate.

How is your bump? Are you in pain too or just cooking along nicely? At least you know that in a week or so you will be holding your lo's and will be in complete denial about the trouble and pain they caused!!!!

Can youbelieve I am feeling broody already?!?!?! I swore when I was in labour that I would never ever consider putting myself thro that again, and already I'm thinking it's a shame that it was my last preg. and birth!!!! I'm so so sad. Hopefully it will pass and my sanity will be restored!!!

Hope you have a good day today - and hopefully you will be back as of tomorrow. I'm getting lonely!!!

    Take care hun

Just another quick thought - do you have any clary sage oil?

Using it for massage on yoiur lower back can help to increase \the intensity of your contractions and make them more effective. I know a lot iof mw's swear by it.

Get you - little miss organised!!!!!!

You put me to shame and I thought I wasb good at having every eventuality catered for!!!

Good on you for deciding to not put up with being left to it. Didn't you say lo was on the large side? Surely they should consider the possibility that you may be having difficulties due to size of lo. It's fairly common, they say thats why i struggled with my first and he wasn't exactly huge (a paltry 6lb 11oz) but he had a head the size of a 8 1/2 lber. If I remember any really good arguments you could use I'll post them on the off chance that you will see them.

Gonna do a quick once over with vacuum now and then pick the lo's up from nursery. Will hopefully speak soon hun.

Thanks Di - Nanas on a roll now, says we're not leaving til they do something!

I have your number, so if mines still not playing nicely I'll put the sim in my spare phone (packed in my labour bag in a moment of beng over organised!!)

Will let you know for sure what's happening when we know.

They should break your\waters if they are able to, which at 3cm (that iswhat you said isn't it?) they shouldn't have a problem with. You may have to ask ( a lot) to get it done. It really does seem to depend on hospital or mw.

I've needed my waters breaking everytime (except Joseph) just to keep my labours going. I used to progress so far and then get stuck. Luckily I was already in hospital tho' so they were more willing to help. With Joseph I was in labour for over a week and stuck at 2-3 cm, then my waters broke, and he still took another 3 days to arrive!!! So you really do have my sympathies hun. I think I would have took a c-section if offered. Problem was when labour did progress it went so quickly that i didn't makke it to the hospital. And then on my notes, they put my labour down as being 20 mins long.Wtf!!!! They have very funny ideas as to what is classed as established labour.

Sorry to hear about your mobile. What a time to go on the blink!!! Does that mean you will have no way to let us know what is happening with you? Having my home number wouldn't be any use would it??

Best of luck for this afternoon hun. Lay it on with a trowel about how tired you are from the pain. (I'm sure midwives undergo special training or have their feelings removed). You have more chance of major intervention if you are too knackered. Altho' I hear epidurals are good if your labour is long. Could maybe get one just to let you get some sleep and then not have it topped up. I know not what you wanted, but it's a thought.

Hopefully I will hear from you one way or the other. Hopefully with good news.

Lots of luck, and hugs etc.
