Hi Marie10000, i just received a letter through the post with the app already made. I also received another letter with a different app for his jabs. You are supposed to have a check at 6 wks for yourself with a medical for your lo, then at 8 wks, they have their jabs. Thats what i have to do. hth hun. x

Do you get a letter asking you to make an appointment or are you supposed to just do it?  Also when I take dd for her 6-8 week check is that when she has her jabs?

Hi everyone, just been for my app this morning and was the same as you ladies. Nurse just checked bp and weight, asked me how the c section went and then basically shoved me out the door! Friends had told me that they ask how you are coping etc....to see if you are at risk of pnd. I feel like they have you in just so they can tick their boxes and say they are meeting certain standards.

Yeah pretty much all they do is check baby and your bp. I even told my doctor that i still had stitches in after 28 days when they were supposed to dissolve @ 10 days and he said to come back in two weeks and they would have a look!! So really doesnt care.

6 week check doc checked my little man and did not do anything to me. He said I did not need to check my c section scar or anything so bonus!

Am def not looking forward to his jabs next week, although have been told to give him calpol an hour before appointment so hopefully that'll help when he has his jabs. Did for someone else!

well my doctor was on holiday when i had mine so all they did was blood pressure, nothing else!!!

I had my 6wk check on Tues hun and it was fine ~ didnt examine me down below either, dont think they tend do unless theres a reason too.. Dr only checked my wt,bp & abdo/uterus. You'll be fine im sure x x

anyone had ther 6-8 week check up yet , if so what do they do , keep putting mine off as i dont want anymore pulling about down below but i havent been feeling so good last couple of days i have had a couple of really bad dizzy spells so maybe i should have check up. hope everyone and babies are all doing well.
