Hiya
You're not alone. I have kidney problems and suffer from frequent water infections and that was before i was pregers. Only had one in my 9 weeks of pregnancy so far and touch wood thats the last . Not nice to say the least. Some advice I was given is to drink lots of liquids, especially cranberry juice. Also (im sure u do this anyway and sorry if this is eeeewwww) is to keep clean down below and wipe front to back. Also make sure u go to the loo before n after sex as it helps to avoid infections. Sorry if thats too much info. I am on antibiotics for life and have to take them right through pregnancy too regarless of whether i have infections or not. Some antibiotics have absolutely no effect on a baby or pregnancy so you may be prescribed on of those.
Feel free to message me if ya have any questions.
Helen
