i thought that i would start a thread for all the ladies from the west mids and surrounding areas i live in teflord which is just outside of the west mids.

ANYWAY i thought it would be good for us all to get to know each other better and you never know maybe even have a get together of some sort one day??

I dont really want a nanny as such...  I want mia to go to nursery. Brandon went when he was 12 weeks too... I just need that couple hours of help in the morning and afternoon.

I rang a company earlier and they specialise in nannys, mothers help etc... and they have people on their books who are looking for this kinda work......gotta think about that one though as they want a chunk just for placing them!!!

Niks mates wife has just qualified to look after children, so this could be a good start for her maybe!

Im glad all the babies seem to be doing well.

Kim, try not to worry too much, get and see that other doctor though!

    Amy, where are you working?

suzy, Sooo jealous, I could see the light at V from my garden!

Thanks for the advice Suzy, think I will see the other doctor in a couple of weeks as he is so much better than the woman, she's always so miserable! Sounds like you had fun at V!! Larry would love to have gone, he used to do the security at many of the festivals so always got a good view!

Lorraine - you deserve a good night out so you have to go on the hen do!! Can't you express a few feeds so you can have a drink?

Joe - try www.direct.gov.uk to search for childminders in your area or ask other moms at the school/nursery for their recommendations. Would a nanny or an au pair be easier as they could look after Mia and do the school runs. They don't have to live in.

Amy - sounds like Scarlett is doing really well!! I must have missed something - what job??!!

hello ladies, how are you all today??? we're fine. had scarlett weighed today and she's 13lb 1oz! i was so pleased. she's 15 weeks tomorrow! following the 75th percentile in weight, length and head measurements. i asked about when to start with good old baby rice and im not allowed to, she has to have a milk only diet until she's 6 months old then they will go through the foods i can use for her.

had my first night at work on friday night and really enjoyd it. was good fun and good to get away for a few hours. we went to leicester saturday morning to a family reunion and got back yesterday which was a nice break.

scarletts got her injections on wednesday. not looking forward to it at all. she's teething at the moment. bongela's been my best friend the past 2 days lol. she's still sleeping through 9pm til 7:30am so she's doing so well. she's only on 6oz though but doesnt seem to want more. thought this wasnt enough for her age but hv told me to think of her as 10 weeks (her corrected age) rather than 15 weeks so 6oz is about right.

anyway must go as scarletts moaning and need to start dinner and have a clean around! speak to you all soon.

lots of love to you all and your gorgeous babies xxxxxxx

Oh our working hours are cruddy, between the 2 of us.

I leave home 6.30/7am and get home 5/6pm...(if Im lucky)

Nik works 8-6, so leaves at 7.45 gets home at 6.15.

Mias nursery hours our 7.30am - 6pm, Nik could drop her off but I'd have to pick her up.

Brandons school is 8.15 - 3.30. But breakfast club is 7.30 - 8.15. He is at activiies every night so that takes him till 4.50. There is a tea club which is 4.50 - 5.40.

But that would mean he is at school 7.30 - 5.40 and he would have breakfast lunch and tea there...

And also means that I need to drop him at 7.30 so wouldnt get into work till 9ish and then i would have to be back in telford for 5.40 so leave work 4ish? and then race around telford to pick mia up...

So looking for someone to take them both mia and then B, and then pick B up after activties and then mia and take them home for when nik gets there at 6.15....

Suzy, you and I are kindred spirits, I love asking people daft questions! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I used to be naughty when I was first temping and ask people stuff like what was the maddest thing they'd ever done, why they were doing their job, basically start riots, he he

    hello everyone

kim i just wanted to say that i have an inverted nipple on one side after i had jayden i did get refered to the breast clinic to be checked out and it turned out to be something called ducked ecstasia (sp) when the nipple gets drawn in from the other side i think that i have it mildly on the other breast too, but if i were u i would ask to b checked out at your local breast clinic just in case you can not be too careful with things like that as nipple inversion is always something that should be investigated sure its nothing but insist anyway.

amy i think your decsion was the right one and good look with the other interveiw sounds much better for your situation, oh and get lee to book that photo shoot

i had a lot of fun at V took about 550+ photos lol it was amazing i had to camp friday and sat in the end as there was no other way for me to get there on sat but we had a laugh friday night i was a bit drunk so i decided to go around with my friend james and ask people " do you now who lives in a pinapple under the sea?" was so funny the people that knew it was sponge bob square pants ust have been drunk as i am normally too shy to talk to strangers.  the bands i saw were good especially the verve the feeling the sterophonics and muse. i got really wet and i have never been to v when the mud has been that bad it went the proper sticky kind that your wellies get stuck in, speaking of wellies getting stuck mine did when i was going to the loo some girl tryed to help me get my foot back in it and ended up making me fall in the mud right inbetween all the toilets haha.

anyways enough of my ramblings i am bloody knackered and loving being home with my babies i missed them all so much especially my romi i think that she is in a mood with me cause i left her.

hello to joe kelly cherly and sandy, hope everyone had a fab weekend

    Good afternoon ladies

Joe - pleased that you had a good weekend, look forward to seeing the pics on Facebook later. Jess has got all her uniform now, I put some pics on Facebook the other day, she looks so grown up!

Jo - lucky that Dan has his own personal alarm clock lol Livvy had a better night too, although she did had bad wind and cried for a good 15 mins which in the middle of the night is sooo loud!!

Kelly - I wouldn't worry about Dex being hungry as long as he doesn't seem fretful after a feed and will happily go 3 hours between feeds.

Had my post natal check this morning & all was fine asked the doc about my nipples as they keep inverting & she said it was probably hormonal but to go back if it's still happening in a month. Anyone else having this prob?

Hope everyone else is well & that Suzy had a fab time at V?

Kelly, Talise puts her fist in her mouth after feeding, I think sometimes it's comfort and sometimes it's something to do! I've looked at those online places Kim thanks but not found anything right, I'm all legs for my height and they end up looking dresses on me, lol! WEathers rubbish, but I'm happy Talise had her last feed at 10.30, then woke up once at 2ish and then not again until 6.15 when it was time for daddy to go to work! Good job she did want a feed then as DAn forgot to set the alarm clock.

hi Kim...thanks for the reply and advice...i thought that that maybe the case but I thought I would ask....anyway it was a fluke....dex was up at 3am and then trying at 7, but manageg to settle him til 8.......it was nice, but whatever the little man needs.

Not sure whether to try him on the hungry version of c&G???? asked HV 2 weeks ago and she said she wasn't sure if he needed too....i explained that he keeps sucking his fist and she said that was a natural relex for a baby and didn't neceassry mean he was hungry???

He was about 30-34 ounces a day......the past few days he is putting his fist to his mouth straight after his bottle...surely this is a sign of him not being satisfied???/This morning he did after a 7 oz bottle!!!! Will ask the HV again this thurs a weight in...will have benn 3 weeks after the last time I asked....bloody HV!!!

Hey Jo...the joys of nursing tops...or not!!!!!..think shops think that your sense of fashion goes when your sense of dignity does IYKWIM..................

    Hello to everyone else!!!!

    Have a great day

    Good evening

Kelly - If Dex is taking less milk and satisfied by the amount he is having in the day then I would leave him, babies will only take as much milk as they want from a feed & if they take more then they usually end up sicking it back up. I'm so jealous he is sleeping through!! We've had a bad few nights with Livvy as she isn't settling back down after her feed at 3ish - yawn!!

Jo - have you tried the online sites such as Blooming Marvellous/Jojo Maman Bebe/la redoute/vertbaudet for nursing tops?

Went to Earlswood Craft Centre today and they do pottery painting so going to take the girls back as I want a plate with Livvy's hand/footprints to go on the wall next to Jess's in their bedroom.

Hiya Kelly, great to hear from you and see photos of the fab dex I ran around merryhill looking at nursing tops, H&M had some good ones LOrraine if you're taller than 5ft1, in the end I bought a top from debenhams that's black and I can whop them out in, but not very inspiring! Why don't manufacturers make more funky nursing tops, we do it for 6 months, I want ones with funky designs and patterns on like the normal h&m tshirts. Rant over, Suzy have you dried out yet?

    Hello All

Just thought that I would pop by and say HI, as I haven't been on here in such a long time.........just seem to go out and about alot.

Dex is 14 weeks today, and has slept through the last two nights....think that it is a fluke though.....he wakes up every now and then and just wants his dummy or a little stroke.

A quick question from a first time mom???????

If Dex is missing a fed at night, does this mean that everyday day he will be taking one feed less (5-6oz)...or should his other feeds get bigger....I know this sounds a stupid question, but I don't know the answer!!!!!

Well done on your results Kim....fingers crossed for Larry.

Happy 11 weeks for Adam lorraine, he is nearly as big as my Dex x x x x

Hope everything is good with you and Talise Jo....had a look at pis on facebook and she is just perfect..........

Amy....I have missed loads...sorry....where are you working....great news about Lee's job, bet you are chuffed!!

Hey Joe.....Hope that you and your little one are well....

Sandra how do you cope entertaining all you kids in the 6 weeks hols....

And Lastly (Not leastly) Suzy....sooooooooooo jealous your are at V....we genera;;y go every year....gutted!!! Hope Romi is well.

Anyway enough of me babbling........Speak soon

    Love Kelly & Dexter x x x {l] x

    Thanks Jo & Lorraine

I forgot to say that I got mine last week & I passed my first year Larry is waiting for them to post his results out as he thinks he bombed - I really hope he has passed as it will boost his self confidence so much as he has it in his head he can't do academic qualifications.

Picked up more Snapfish prints today (used my mom's name, naughty!!)

Livvy has had the hiccups for the past hour now!! I'm hoping she is settled now, she is half asleep but I can hear her hiccupping through the monitor lol

What's everyone been upto on such a grey day? We had a stroll round Redditch & met my mom & her hubby there for a cuppa
