Hi, i had an emergency c-section in Feb 04 and dd2 is now 8 weeks and i had a vbac with her. I had a sweep - so that shouldnt be a problem. Only thing was i'd convinced myself i couldnt give birth naturally (my mam couldnt either) so wasn't really giving it any welly-until they said they could see the head then my mam says she thought a vein ws gonna pop in my head i was pushing htat hard lol. If you have any Q's i'll try and answer. Good luck

Hi ladies,
Just wondering if any of you tried / had a vbac and if its was succesful?????
I am hoping for one after a c section 5 years ago.
Also do you happen to know if you can still have a 'sweep' done if you have had a previous c section?? I know ou cant be induced or have any intervention but wasnt sure if that also included a sweep??
Hope your all doing well with you babies xx

hi, ive had two vbacs after a c section with my first vbac i also had a vaccum delivery as he got into distress but my second vbac went really well. i had a sweep done with both of them too. although the sweeps worked for me, i was also given an induction date aswell, as they seemed to have changed their minds about the 'no intervention thing'. they tend to treat your labour as a normal labour now, but monitor you more closely.
